Abstract:Objective To determine the chemical constituents in Selaginella tamariscina.Methods The constituents were isolated and purified by NMR and IR methods.Their structures were identified on the basis of spectral data and chemical properties.Results Six compounds were isolated and elucidated as heveaflavone(1),selaginellin(2),selaginellin A(3),amentoflavone(4),heptadecanoic acid(5),and β-sitostol(6),respectively.Conclusion Compound 2 has been isolated from Selaginella tamariscina for the first time.
