Abstract:Objective To study biflavonoids from Selaginella mellendorfii Hieron. Methods The constituents were isolated and purified by several column chromatographic methods,and their structures were identified by their physicochemical properties and spectrum. Results Five compounds were isolated from Selaginella mellendorfii Hieron and elucidated as ametoflavone(1),4′-O-methylrobustaflavone(2),4′-O-methylametoflavone(3),7-O-methylametoflavone(4),and 7,4′-di-O-methylametoflavone(5). Conclusion Compound 4 has been isolated from Selaginella mellendorfii Hieron for the first time.
