Abstract:In the face of increasingly serious traffic problems,different countries,different cities are almost biased towards searching for solutions from the technical aspects.However,due to the complexity of the city itself,especially the traffic problems have many important implications in other areas.So the technology alone is not enough.From the perspective of urban cultural studies,culture is mainly reflected in three aspects in the city traffic.First of all,the awareness of cultural conscious allows us to fully understand the limitations of the technology itself;Secondly,the problems in the concept of modern cultural quality and life also is an important reason for the heavy traffic of urban traffic system in China;thirdly,cultural participation directly determines the humanized connotation level of urban traffic.Contemporary issues in the metropolitan transportation system,not only directly test the developed transport technologies and facilities in modern city,but also indirectly measure whether a nation owns the function and quality by walking in modern cities.The best solution is,on one hand,to promote the expansion of the urban transport system by technological advances in the hardware,on the other hand,through the training and development of the city civilization and citizens' culture,to make the subject matter in a limited space for more freedom and liberation.They point to a common goal,namely,how to establish more exchanges and dialogue between technology and cultural,in order to achieve a holistic research and exploration of the super complexity of the metropolitan transportation system.
