Abstract:With the development of science and technology, the intelligent knowledge resource will ultimately decide the fotune of enterprises. As a result, the efficient knowledge management will be the most necessary demand of contemporary enterprises. According to research and analyzing on knowldege resources the scale free characteristics of the knowledge network were discovered and a new concept of scale-free knowledge grid was put forward. The idea of grid computing and methodology of scale-free model were adopted in the design of a problem-solving-oriented scale-free knowledge grid (SK-Grid) which emphasizes on the efficient organization of knowledge resources instead the traditional knowledge data base with a dynamic knowledge network and enables distributed users to efficiently solve a complex problem. Furthermore the application of scale-fee methodology improves the rationality of knowledge management and prompts the evolution of method and technology of resource configuring. The concept architecture, key technologies and application of SK-Grid were addressed in the paper.

Abstract:Knowledge Base Grid enables worldwide sharing and coordinated using of knowledge base resources, which distributed around the Internet. By constructing large-scale web knowledge bases, Knowledge Base Grid supports on-demand and intelligent services satisfying personal needs and expectations such as personal health consultation. In this paper, we introduce a generic knowledge base grid for Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Its framework consists of three main parts: Virtual Open Knowledge Base in which TCM knowledge has been well organized, Knowledge Base index that indexes the TCM knowledge services, and a Semantic Browser that supports TCM concepts browsing and TCM knowledge management. The implementation of TCM Knowledge Base Grid includes TCM knowledge representation and service hierarchy.

Abstract:Grid infrastructure is becoming a platform for the design, implementation and execution of various scientific experiments. Consequently it forms a hidden storehouse of application knowledge about historically how a grid application was designed and performed (e.g. the used approaches, required data, etc). This work addresses the issue of abstracting the application knowledge in grid based on service provenances. Our method is composed by the steps of providing a formal description for detailed service provenances; deducing the set of service provenance descriptions that indicates how a desired application result can be obtained; abstracting and visualizing the deduced result to facilitate the understanding, sharing and reuse of corresponding application knowledge. The implementation status of our method is also reported.

Abstract:Nowadays, the distributed computing mode is more and more popular. A system regularly needs to distribute its data in different places. The knowledge base system is also among the systems that work on dispersed data. The web provides a ubiquitous medium for seamlessly integrating distributed applications, formats and contents, making them well suited for enterprise knowledge management. In this article, we discuss a framework for knowledge sharing by web service and grid technology. We will also mention how other knowledge bases can be integrated into this framework and share their knowledge. Finally we give a prototype system based in this framework and discuss the future work.

Abstract:Grid computing technology is a focused field in high performance computing. This paper describes an engineering computation oriented visual grid framework VGrid, which is capable to bridge the gap between currently deployed grid services and the computational applications. Based on the Globus toolkit, and coupled with a client component, a services pool and a server component, VGrid visually performs resource discovery, task schedule, and result processing. VGrid improves the efficiency of utilization of resources by introducing a logical resource concept. VGrid applications of numerical simulations in engineering sciences are demonstrated.

Abstract:In order to resolve problems of share and utilization of knowledge resources in manufacturing network,the concept and technologies of grid were introduced into manufacturing fieldbased on requirements analysis of manufacturing grid. . To fulfill the requirements of manufacturing network, the concept of Knowledge Service Grid (KSG) was presented and its application mode in manufacturing network was proposed afterwards. With KSG, users could define and manage their own knowledge services independently and utilize the knowledge services provided by others conditionally. A scenario about the development of a new product was provided to interpret KSG specifically. Furthermore, the architecture of KSG mainly consisting of the agents and enabling tools was illustrated in detail. The modeling of knowledge services was presented as well as the overall operation processes of KSG including registration, modeling and operation.

Abstract:The paper presents a knowledge fusion architecture based on the grid platform. The proposed framework suggests a semi-structural paradigm that emphasizes connotation of distributed knowledge resources in a grid environment. Our approach involves an extractive process of meta-knowledge sets which predigests the diversion among multi-source knowledge, the Genetic Fusion Algorithm which can generate a new knowledge space, a resources allocation method with meta-knowledge directory service. Experimental results of a case study show the feasibility of design rationale underling knowledge grid.

Abstract:So called knowledge grid is a virtual knowledge or experience sharing environment for innovation. Experts, software, engineers are all viewed as the resource nodes of the grid framework. Within the knowledge grid, the resource nodes can cooperate for a task such as product innovation design, the cooperation among the resource nodes are called linking edge. As a result of the distributed, dynamic, and self-organizing features of resource nodes, learning the grid composition and analyzing the knowledge dynamical features of the knowledge is vital for the management of knowledge grid. However, the modeling of the knowledge grid is the fundament for the analyzing. So a case based modeling technology was proposed in the paper. In which various practical work flow cases were used as the data source of nodes and edges information of the knowledge grid, and workflow engine technologies were used to extract the grid information and scale-free complex analyzing method could be adopted to analyze the knowledge grid in order to support the knowledge management and decision. ©2009 IEEE.

Abstract:A system framework for knowledge and information acquisition of manufacturing grid(MG) was researched based on the characteristics of MG resources.Several definitions about MG and Agent were presented and the relationships in MG nodes and a process model for resource knowledge and information of MG were described.Several key technologies for an Agent frame,communications of MG and Agents,a MG middleware and MG security in the construction of MG system were depicted.A structure model of knowledge and information acquisition in MG resources and its simple mathematics model were established.A system structure for knowledge and information acquisition of MG resource was presented according to the structure model,and an example proved the feasibility of the system structure.

Abstract:We present a generic grid architecture in termsof the Knowledge Base Grid (KB-Grid) for buildinglarge-scale distributed knowledge system on the semanticweb. KB-Grid suggests a paradigm that emphasizesglobal knowledge sharing and reuses of web knowledgebase (webKB) resources. Our approach involves asemantic browser for browsing and retrieving webknowledge, a knowledge server as the web container forknowledge, a knowledge base directory server as theregistry supporting hierarchical discovery and co-allocationof webKBs, and an ontology server formanaging web ontologies. Abstract:Computation grid is the infrastructure for the next generation internet.
