Present Situation of Application and Development of Hot- Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesives

Abstract:The characters of hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesive(HMPSA) and its present situations of application in the developed Occident and China were introduced.The developments and applications of modified thermoplastic elastomer HMPSA,acrylate HMPSA,silicone HMPSA and amorphous polyolefin HMPSA were reviewed in this paper.It was suggested that domestic enterprises and research institutes should exploit multifunctional HMPSA to extend its application and expedite the process of performance standardization as soon as possible.It was also considered that the environment-friendly and multifunctional HMPSA were the development trends.
