Abstract:Two specialties of L type pulse tube refrigerator were described: L type pulse tube was used instead of ordinary I type pulse tube,which can decrease the dead volume of the cold head and simplify the manufacture of the cold end;two orifice valves were adopted instead of single orifice at the hot end of pulse tube,which can control the mass flow rate of inlet and outlet of pulse tube respectively.The experimental investigation of four-valve L type pulse tube refrigerator as a sample refrigerator was performed,and the experimental result was introduced,which shows that the lowest temperature of the refrigerator can reach 67.5 K with 200 meshes bronze screens as the regenerator material when the working frequency is 2.5 Hz.
