Abstract:Under regular heating or microwave irradiation, 3-alkyl substituted imidazo[1,5-a]pyridines were synthesized from 2,2'-pyridil or di-2-pyridyl ketone and aliphatic aldehydes in the presence of ammonium acetate and acetic acid. Compared to the traditional heating condition, 3-alkyl imidazo[1,5-a]pyridines were obtained with higher yields and shorter reaction time under microwave irradiation. All products were characterized by their H-1 NMR, MS spectra and elemental analysis.

Abstract:A simple, rapid, and highly efficient method has been developed for the aza-Michael addition of acrylonitrile to 2-aryl-oxymethylbenzimidazole derivatives in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate under microwave irradiation. A series novel of 1-cyanoethyl-2-aryloxymethylbenzimidazole derivatives have been prepared and characterised by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR spectra and elemental analysis.

Abstract:[reaction: see text] Aryl triflates are effectively converted to the corresponding anilines under microwave irradiation in 1-methyl-2-pyridone (NMP) without base and catalyst. Aryl triflates substituted with both electron-poor and electron-rich groups give good to excellent yields. It is noteworthy that the halogenated aryl triflates can chemoselectively react with amines to afford halogenated anilines.

Abstract:An effective synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one derivatives using ionic liquid 1-n-butyl-3-methylimmidazolium hexafluorophosphate ([bmim]PF6) as the catalyst from aldehydes, 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds and urea (thiourea) under microwave irradiation is described. This new method has the advantage of high yields (80-95% for aromatic aldehydes) and short reaction time (3-5 min).

Abstract:A microwave-assisted condensation of salicylaldehyde and aryl amines without solvent were efficiently performed to form a series of salicylaldimines in high yields, which were confirmed by IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and elemental analyses. The microwave-assisted condensation provided a convenient environmental-friendship methodology for syntheses of Schiff-base in organic syntheses.

Abstract:The fast heating ability of microwave oven was applied in the rapid organic synthesis. In order to investigate the reactivity of sodium phenylsulfinate and halides under microwave irradiation, sodium phenylsulfinate and halides were equably adsorbed on the surface of Al 2O 3 and then irradiated by microwave. The reaction was completed within several minutes to form corresponding sulfones in good yields. Compared with ordinary reaction, the rate of this reaction was greatly enhanced and the reaction time was reduced to 2～7min. Probable mechanism was given in this paper.

Abstract:The first aryl iodide catalyzed intramolecular C-H amination of phenylurea has been disclosed for high-efficiency synthesis of benzimidazolone derivatives in excellent yields (up to 97%) by an operationally simple one-step organocatalytic oxidative process. Fluorinated protic alcohols can efficiently accelerate the conversion of this transformation. The straightforward method has good functional group tolerance and can be performed with an inexpensive and readily accessible catalyst with high proficiency.

Abstract:An effective, green and eco-friendly method was developed to synthesize 1 H -benzimidazole under microwave irradiation. The reactions of substituted o -phenylenediamine with DMF were efficiently promoted by butanoic acid, and the desired product 1 H -benzimidazole derivatives were obtained in good to excellent yields. Compared with the conventional heating method, microwave irradiation significantly reduced the reaction time and improved the yields of the target products.

Abstract:Abstract A new method for the fast synthesis of diverse 4-aryl-6-cycloamino-1,3,5-triazin-2-amines was developed. The synthesis is performed under microwave irradiation in a one-pot manner from cyanoguanidine, aromatic aldehydes, and cyclic amines. Their three-component reaction in the presence of hydrochloric acid produced dihydrotriazines, which were then converted (without isolation) into the targeted compounds via aromatic dehydrogenation in the presence of alkali. The reaction tolerated various aromatic aldehydes (including heterocyclic) and cyclic amines. Crystal structures of two representative 4-aryl-6-morpholino-1,3,5-triazin-2-amines were established by X-ray crystallography. The results of preliminary biological screening identified potent antileukemic activity for 6-[3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl]-4-phenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-amine.

Abstract:Some 2, 4, 6-tri (arylamino)-1, 3, 5-triazine derivatives were synthesized in high yields from 2, 4, 6-trichloro-1., 3, 5-triazine and a little excess of aromatic amines in 1, 4-dioxane using sodium hydrogencarbonate as base. Comparing to literature,. this method is mild and easy for operation and productive. The reaction rate was accelerated by at least ten times under microwave irradiation in comparision with that under common heating. The structures of synthesized compounds were determined by elemental analysis, FAB-MS and IR spectra.

Abstract:Traditionally, N-aryl phthalimides are synthesized by the condensation of phthalic anhydride and aniline derivatives, usually proceeding under harsh conditions. The alternative mild and organocatalytic strategies for their synthesis are underdeveloped. Herein, we demonstrate the first organocatalytic atroposelective synthesis of N-aryl phthalimides via the traditional N-CC=O disconnection under mild conditions. The in-situ acid activation of phthalamic acid and subsequent N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed atroposelective amidation allowed the synthesis of well-decorated N-aryl phthalimides in excellent yields and enantioselectivities. Mechanistic studies reveal the addition of NHC to the in situ generated isoimides, thus introducing a new mode of generating acylazoliums. Interestingly, both enantiomers of the product can be accessed from the same phthalic anhydride and aniline using the same NHC pre-catalyst. Moreover, this strategy has been extended to the atroposelective synthesis of N-aryl maleimides.

Abstract:A novel, highly efficient, eco-friendly, and quick microwave-assisted synthesis of 2, 4, 5- substituted imidazoles by one-pot cyclo condensation of acenaphthoquinone, aromatic aldehydes, and ammonium acetate was reported under solvent-free conditions using ammonium chloride as a catalyst with excellent yield. The present methodology offers several advantages, such as mild reaction conditions, easy workup, short reaction time, excellent yield, purification of products by the non-chromatographic method, and reproducibility in large-scale synthesis. Compounds were characterized by IR, 1HNMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy and their melting points were compared with the literature reports.
