Introduction of the LS:12 and the Third International Symposium on White LED

Abstract:The paper introduces the history,focus areas and organizational structure of the international symposium on science and technology of light sources(LS:X).It introduces also the Foundation of Advanced science and technology of light sources(FAST-LS),the host of LS:X.It summarized the LS:12,the latest LS:X held in Eindhoven,Netherland in July of 2010,and concluded that LED,as well as HID especially ceramic metal halide,is hot point for light sources industry.
