Abstract:Given a class ℑ of finite groups, a subgroup H of a group G is called ℑ n - normal in G if there exists a normal subgroup T of G such that HT is a normal subgroup of G and ( H ∩ T ) H G / H G is contained in the ℑ-hypercenter Z ∞ ℑ ( G/H G ) of G/H G . We obtain some results about the ℑ n -normal subgroups and use them to study the structure of some groups.

Abstract:Let N be a normal subgroup of a group G. The positive integers m and n are the two longest sizes of the non-central G-conjugacy classes of N with m > n and (m,n) = 1. In this paper, the structure of N is determined when n divides |N/N ∩ Z(G)|. Some known results are generalized.

Abstract:Let N0 be a p-solvable normal group of a finite group G,and mn≠1 be two coprime positive integers.The purpose of this article is to show that a p-complement of N0/N0∩Z(G) is either a prime power order group or a solvable Frobenius group under the condition that the G-conjugacy class size of p-regular primary element and biprimary element in N0 is 1,n or m.

Abstract:Landau's theorem on conjugacy classes asserts that there are only finitely many finite groups, up to isomorphism, with exactly $k$ conjugacy classes for any positive integer $k$. We show that, for any positive integers $n$ and $s$, there exists only a finite number of finite groups $G$, up to isomorphism, having a normal subgroup $N$ of index $n$ which contains exactly $s$ non-central $G$-conjugacy classes. We provide upper bounds for the orders of $G$ and $N$, which are used by using GAP to classify all finite groups with normal subgroups having a small index and few $G$-classes. We also study the corresponding problems when we only take into account the set of $G$-classes of prime-power order elements contained in a normal subgroup.

Abstract:Let G be a finite group. A subgroup H of G is called a ℙ -subnormal subgroup whenever H=G or there exists a chain of subgroups H=H_0≤ H_1≤⋯≤ H_t=G such that |H_i:H_i-1| is a prime for every i∈{1, 2, … t} . In the present paper, we study finite groups in which some 2-maximal subgroups or cyclic subgroups are ℙ -subnormal subgroups. Several conditions for G to possess an ordered Sylow tower of supersolvable type are given.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group and let $N$ be a normal subgroup of $G$. We attach to $N$ two graphs ${\Gamma}_G(N)$ and ${\Gamma}^{\ast}_G(N)$ related to the conjugacy classes of $G$ contained in $N$ and to the set of primes dividing the sizes of these classes, respectively. These graphs are subgraphs of the ordinary ones associated to the conjugacy classes ofG, ${\Gamma}(G)$ and ${\Gamma}^{\ast}(G)$, which have been widely studied by several authors. We prove that the number of connected components of both graphs is at most 2, we determine the best upper bounds for the diameters and characterize the structure of $N$ when these graphs are disconnected.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group and $N<G$ a normal subgroup with $G/N$ abelian. We show how the conjugacy classes of $G$ in a given coset $qN$ relate to the irreducible characters of $G$ that are not identically $0$ on $qN$. We describe several consequences. In particular, we deduce that when $G/N$ is cyclic generated by $q$, the number of irreducible characters of $N$ that extend to $G$ is the number of conjugacy classes of $G$ in $qN$.

Abstract:Let H be a subgroup of a group G . We say that H is c -subnormal in G if there exists a subnormal subgroup T of G such that H ⁢ T = G and H ∩ T ⩽ H G , where H G is the maximal normal subgroup of G which is contained in H . In this paper, we investigate the structure of a finite group G under the assumption that all maximal subgroups are c -subnormal subgroups and present some new conditions for supersolvability.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite group and $N$ a normal subgroup of $G$. We determine the structure of $N$ when the graph $\Gamma_G(N)$, which is the graph associated to the conjugacy classes of $G$ contained in $N$, has no triangles and when the graph consists in exactly one triangle.

Abstract:A subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be a weakly c-normal subgroup of G if there exists a subnormal subgroup T of G such that G = HT and H boolean AND T <= H G, where H-G = Core(H) is the largest normal subgroup of G contained in H. There is a set M-d (P) = {P-1, P-2,..., P-d} of maximal subgroups of P such that boolean AND(d)(i = 1) P-i = Phi(P). In this paper, We investigate the case that every member of M-d (P) is weakly c-normal in G so that we are able to give criteria for a group to be p-supersolvable or p-nilpotent. Our results unify and generalize some known results.
