Heidegger's Critique of Modernity and Its Revelation

Abstract:Though seldom using the concept of modernity, Heidegger is one of the great thinkers who has thought deep about the problem of modernity. Heidegger believed, it was the metaphysics Descartes created that laid the foundation for modernity which has the key expressions as follows: "man becomes the subject", "the world becomes picture" and "philosophy becomes anthropology". Heidegger reveals that only when one reflects on modern metaphysics deep and goes beyond the context of modernity can one deepen the modernity critique.
