A Critique of Modernity and 'Dialectec of Enlightenment'

Abstract:Since the Second World War, the critique of modernity has once fullthered to examine the topic of “Enlightenment”and its traditional methods. Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorro’s Dialectec of Enlightenment has responded to this subject. The core idea of it is that modern totalianism is not external or pure reflection of the tradition of Enlightenment but is the dialectical unfolding of the internal characteristics and motivation of that tradition. So the principle of Enlightenment and its strenthening self-developing have provided the widest and deepest foundation for the myth and primitive state. This is a valuable insight. But because following critiques have not engaged a through examination on the foundation of ontology, they are still incompelete and waiting to be finished.
