Abstract:Chongqing Industrial Museum was proposed to set up on the original site of section steel plant of the former Chongqing Iron and Steel Works in order to lengthen the lifeline of a history of 120 years.To solve the contradictions among the protection & reuse of industrial heritages , the newly built creative industrial park , commercial mating facilities , as well as the single space and new city with complex functions in the traditional industrial area , an integral and multivariate cultural and industrial expo area would be created by combining old industrial park with new downtown area , through retaining most of the industrial heritages to create the indicative and vivid landscapes .Thus a new life and energy would be given to the whole area by way of a series of guided developments and reforms , as well as accomplishing its role conversion .

Abstract:Reviving historical towns and urban districts requires conservation and reuse of traditional buildings crucially in preserving the external form while introducing contemporary contents into the interior spaces. Short of contemporary comfort and efficiency, the traditional interior unavoidably contradicts the preservation for according improvement of comfort as the crux. Setting out from construction rule and characteristics of the traditional Chinese architecture with reference to its European counterpart's "envelope" feature, we propose "internal envelope" as a new interior implanted into the traditional interior, a freestanding container of self-bearing framework of up-to-date techniques that accommodates all needs from office, residence to recreation. In ensuing practices, the "internal envelope" successively applied in a series of cases in the historical town of Cicheng, Ningbo, and each case designed in response to specific structure and scale of the courtyard and interior to ensure the desired comfort. As the representative one, Cihu Academy attested "internal envelope" thorough and successful realization from conception, scheme, construction to put into service, a full course that demonstrated its validity in its own right as well as significance to architecture the discipline in sound response to targeted problems.Graphical

Abstract:Based on the flow theory, this paper takes Rongshui Miao Eco-museum as an example to discGuided by ancient site culture, carry out the innovative design practices of public facilities in the site park.Starting from the particularity of the site park and the need for regional cultural inheritance, this study investigates the current situation of public facilities in the Jibo City Site Park, discusses the application value and transformation methods of ancient site culture in public facility design, and completes corresponding design practices.As witnesses of historical and cultural heritage, the public facilities of the site park should be based on the site culture, and on the basis of in-depth decomposition of cultural elements, with the help of visual expression, image extraction, symbolic metaphor and other artistic means, achieve a high degree of integration between site culture and design forms, create a facility system that conforms to the special cultural atmosphere of the site park, and enhance the artistic and cultural value of public facilities in the site scenic area,promote and disseminate excellent traditional Chinese culture, and promote the high-quality development and construction of heritage parks.
