Abstract:The existence and uniqueness of T-periodic solutions for the following boundary value problems with p-Laplacian: (ϕp(x′))′+f(t,x′)+g(t,x)=e(t),x(0)=x(T),x′(0)=x′(T) are investigated, where ϕp(u)=∣u∣p−2u with p>1 and f,g,e are continuous and are T-periodic in t with f(t,0)=0. Using coincidence degree theory, some existence and uniqueness results are presented.

Abstract:In this paper we will solve an open problem raised by Manásevich and Mawhin twenty years ago on the structure of the periodic eigenvalues of the vectorial $p$-Laplacian. This is an Euler-Lagrangian equation on the plane or in higher dimensional Euclidean spaces. The main result obtained is that for any exponent $p$ other than $2$, the vectorial $p$-Laplacian on the plane will admit infinitely many different sequences of periodic eigenvalues with a given period. These sequences of eigenvalues are constructed using the notion of scaling momenta we will introduce. The whole proof is based on the complete integrability of the equivalent Hamiltonian system, the tricky reduction to $2$-dimensional dynamical systems, and a number-theoretical distinguishing between different sequences of eigenvalues. Some numerical simulations to the new sequences of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions will be given. Several further conjectures towards to the panorama of the spectral sets will be imposed.

Abstract:In this paper, we study the variational principle and the existence of periodic solutions for a new class of second-order ordinary p-Laplacian systems. The variational principle is given by making use of two methods. We obtain three existence theorems of periodic solutions to this problem on various sufficient conditions on the potential function F(t,x) or nonlinearity ∇F(t,x). Four examples are presented to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our results.

Abstract:By virtue of the Avery-Henderson fixed point theorem and the five functionals fixed point theorem, we analytically establish several sufficient criteria for the existence of at least two or three positive solutions in the -Laplacian dynamic equations on time scales with a particular kind of -Laplacian and -point boundary value condition. It is this kind of boundary value condition that leads the established criteria to be dependent on the time scales. Also we provide a representative and nontrivial example to illustrate a possible application of the analytical results established. We believe that the established analytical results and the example together guarantee the reliability of numerical computation of those -Laplacian and -point boundary value problems on time scales.

By using the variational methods and the penalization method, we prove the existence of solutions for the above equations which concentrates at a local minimum of [math] in the semi-classical limit as [math]. Abstract:Abstract The aim of this article is to study nonlinear problem driven by the p ( t ) p\left(t) -Laplacian with nonsmooth potential. We establish the existence of homoclinic solutions by using variational principle for locally Lipschitz functions and the properties of the generalized Lebesgue-Sobolev space under two cases of the nonsmooth potential: periodic and nonperiodic, respectively. The resulting problem engages two major difficulties: first, due to the appearance of the variable exponent, commonly known methods and techniques for studying constant exponent equations fail in the setting of problems involving variable exponents. Another difficulty we must overcome is verifying the link geometry and certifying boundedness of the Palais-Smale sequence. To our best knowledge, our theorems appear to be the first such result about homoclinic solution for differential inclusion system involving the p ( t ) p\left(t) -Laplacian.

Abstract:We consider the multiplicity of solutions for the $p(x)$-Laplacian problems involving the supercritical Sobolev growth via Ricceri's principle. By means of the truncation combining with De Giorgi iteration, we can extend the result about subcritical and critical growth to the supercritical growth and obtain at least three solutions for the $p(x)$ Laplacian problem.

Abstract:Ordinary and partial differential equations with operators containing the p-Laplace operator, the so called ϕ-Laplace operator, operators with variable exponents and the double phase operators have been studied thoroughly for at least the last 20 years and the amount of papers dealing with these subjects is huge. In this paper we deal with the problem of the existence of periodic solutions to some system of ODE's involving a fairly general operator generalizing in this form corresponding results for the areas of research just mentioned. In our results neither the function generating the differential operator nor the right hand side function in the boundary value problem considered are necessarily equal to the gradient of a function. Our main result is a here is a continuation theorem based on the Leray-Schauder degree theory which allows us to obtain the existence of solutions for the boundary value problem considered.
