Abstract:How to develop a new statistical process control (SPC) system in complicated modern manufacturing environment utilizing abundant information resources was discussed. To embed separate units in a sophisticated system, this paper proposed the principle, topology and overall solution of SPC system of hierarchy field bus-based quality control network at the level of plant and enterprise. The embedded SPC separate units were comprised of special modules designed for different simple functions. The structure of the field bus-based network, the interface of embedded industrial ethernet network, and the implementation of the control strategy of embedded SPC units were discussed, along with the principle of reliability and security. This system had characteristics of better environment flexibility, safety and credibility in practice, provides a basic plat roof for total quality control in manufacturing.

Abstract:In the production of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics, the direction of needle barbs is towards the tip of the needle. When the needle penetrates into the fabric, the barbs carry some fibres into the fabric and when it returns the barbs are empty. This means that, the needle works when it penetrates into the fabric and doesn't work when it returns. Using a bi-directional barb needle in the needle-punch process was proposed as an idea with the theory that, the needle also works when returning (leaving the layer). This study investigates the physical properties of needle-punched nonwoven fabrics produced with unidirectional and bi-directional needle types. Effects of needle penetration depth (NPD), strokes per minute (SPM), and needle type (N 1 , N 2 ) on properties such as gram per square meter (GSM), thickness, fabric density (FD), and static puncture resistance (SPR) are examined. An experiment with 19 runs was designed using response surface methodology and optimal design with two quantitative factors, including NPD and SPM, and one qualitative factor containing needle types. In addition, four responses were measured and reported, including GSM, thickness, FD, and SPR. Test results show that needle N 2 produces a fabric with lower FD, higher GSM, thickness, and SPR in comparison to needle N 1 , and was selected in optimization process with a desirability value of 0.872 against 0.688 for needle N 1 . The improved fabric properties of needle N 2 may be exploited for the economic benefits of the nonwoven fabric producers or textile industry.

Abstract:Statistical Process Control(SPC) techniques are introduced to analyze process parameters in order to improve device reliability and yield,control process production and penetrate quality control into critical production process in this paptr.The SPC techniques consist of judgment rule,technique flow,control chart and process capability analysis aredetailed.Taken POCL3 diffusion for example,how SPC techniques work in high power semiconductor device process is shown.It is calculated that process capability index is 1.81,deviation is slight and practical distribution mean value is centered on the target mean value.It is concluded that the process ability is very strong.

Abstract:The processing principle and classification of severe plastic deformation(SPD)for fabricating bulk nanocrystalline materials are summarized in the present paper.SPD technologies are commonly classified into severe plastic torsion straining(SPTS),equal channel angular pressing or extrusion(ECAP or ECAE)and multi forging ac- cording to the ultra-fining mechanism of processed materials.The shearing mechanism and technique parameters of SPTS and ECAP as well as their advantages and disadvantages are discussed.At the same time,some solutions are brought forward on the basis of above discussions.
Design on Method of Statistical Process Control (SPC) Based on RFID Technology

Abstract:In the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC), a traditional method in quality management, in order to ensure the accuracy of the data, we often copy the data in hand, manually calculate, and then dot. So it would be very time-consuming and labor-intensive. For this situation enhancement, enterprises have developed automatic data collection system and control charts analysis system with the high cost, and real-time control to the quality of the production process can not be achieved. In this paper, in order to combine automatic data collection and automatic control charts, the rapidly developing RFID technology is integrated into SPC. Automatic data collection and utilization of algorithms to determine quality of products are effective. By setting timers in RFID tags, a real-time effective control to quality of work pieces on production line could come true. At the same time, 12864 LCD (liquid crystal display) is introduced to SPC system, which is more convenient for producers to adjust the production process and wiser for managers to do production management. What is more important, it lays the foundation for the reform of the manufacturing sector.

Abstract:This work highlights the relevance of punch density, needle penetration depth and basis weight on the nonwoven fabric's properties. Fibre fineness-specific optimised carding parameters, that is feeder, cylinder and doffer speeds were used for the preparation of carded web to produce considered basis weight of carded batts. Fabric thickness, bursting strength, mean flow pore size, air permeability, air filtration efficiency and pressure drop were extensively investigated, and a relationship was developed using the Box–Behnken design. The punch density and needle penetration depth were optimised to achieve the required levels of mean flow pore size at constant basis weight for enhancing the air filtration behaviour of non-woven fabrics.

Abstract:The needle-punched composite preforms have great potential to be used in the components with aerospace industry. The variable fiber content in layers of needle-punched preforms can affect the structure and properties of the formed composites, where the fiber content distributions can be designed in the needle-punched direction by the needle punching process and compaction process. A needle-punched fiber analysis method is established to determine the fiber content introduced in the thickness direction during the needle punching process. An artificial neural network (ANN) is constructed between the remaining fiber content in layers and needle punching process parameters. Based on the ANN, the needle punching process is designed in order to satisfy the specified requirements of fiber content distributed in the needle-punched preform. The maximum error between the designed fiber content and the target value is 1.18%. An improved compaction theoretical model is also applied to obtain the variation of fiber content in layers. The fiber content can be accurately obtained by controlling the pressure of needle plate and the pressure can also be set to satisfy the thickness requirements of needle-punched preforms. The compaction theoretical model is further validated by compressive experiment of the needle-punched preforms. The relative error between experimental value and theoretical value is 3.49%. This work can effectively guide the design of variable fiber content in layers of needle-punched preform.

Abstract:Abstract The article presents the results of the use of SPC tools, i.e. control charts and indicators of the qualitative capability to assess the stability and capability of the production process of rolled products - I-sections. Statistical analysis of the collected data regarding the selected feature of the analysed product - the width of the foot, and the normality of the distribution were done, which showed that the obtained distribution of measurement results is not a normal distribution. As a result, appropriate SPC procedures for non-normal distribution were used. The Pareto-Lorenzo diagram and FMEA method were also used to obtain information about the structure of non-conformities of the analysed product and the level of risk associated with them. This information was used to propose corrective actions and improve the production process of rolled products.

Abstract:Although the EPC method can properly control single parameter's changes during the manufacturing process to meet quality requirements, however, in project practice, it has been proved that a single control parameter can not guarantee the best manufacturing quality. The manufacturing quality is also closely related with the distribution of the values of parameters. Therefore, using the SPC and EPC integrated control technology can better ensure the quality of the products. This paper outlines the features of the SPC and EPC method during the manufacturing quality control, putting forward a process control system which integrates the EPC and SPC method and studies the informational interface technique, the intelligent integration technique and the harmonious control technique for the two method, and then analyzes the integrated technique and the quality guaranteed technique for the two method through a specific manufacturing process example. The application of this technique not only guarantees the needs of the individual parameter, but also the distribution regulation of the group of a same parameter, so it may markedly improve the quality of the manufacturing process. Therefore, overall product quality is improved.

Abstract:Recycled high-modulus Kevlar fibers were blended with Nylon 6 staple fibers and biocomponent low- T m /high- T m polyester fibers to form high-modulus puncture-resistance nonwoven fabrics via opening, mixing, carding, lapping, needle-punching, as well as hot-pressing processes. In this paper, biocomponent low- T m /high- T m polyester fiber content, needle-punching density, and hot-pressing temperature were changed to evaluate the tensile strength, bursting strength and static puncture resistance of resulting nonwoven fabrics as related to aforementioned three parameters based on response surface methodology. The result shows that the tensile strength is highly related to needle-punching density and hot-pressing temperature; but the bursting strength and static puncture resistance are significantly involved with the aforementioned three parameters. The tensile strength, bursting strength, and static puncture resistance all present increasing and then decreasing trend with increase of its respective concerning parameters. Moreover, the static puncture resistance strength has linear dependence on bursting strength.

Abstract:Functional nonwoven products have superiority such as quick mass-production, short processing time, wide sources for raw material, low cost and high output etc. They have been widely studied and promoted in advanced countries. However, comparing with selvedge processing, they brings considerable burden to environment. So in this paper, we chose low cost polyester (LPE) and low melting point fiber (LMPE) respectively blending by 50 wt% through the process of mixing, blowing, carding, laying, and needle punching etc. to form nonwoven fabric in which the needle density was adjusted. Finally it is found that 103 needles/cm2 was optimal after mechanical testing. And then different proportions of PP selvedges were placed in the middle of two optimal nonwoven layers by sandwich structure, and mechanical properties of PET/LMPET/PP fabric produced after thermo bonding and cooling was tested. According to the optimal production evaluation for functionality, these products may apply to reinforced interlayer in general protective clothing, protective glove, reinforcement in simple building structure and stiffening geotextiles in the future.
