Abstract:Two coupled small parameter ordinary differential equations were considered. The solutions of differential equations will change rapidly near both sides of the boundary layer. Firstly, the properties were studied for differential equations. Secondly, the asymptotic properties of differential equations were discussed. Thirdly, the numerical methods with zero approximation were constructed for both left side and right side singular component differential equations. Finally, error analyses were given.

Abstract:This paper provides a class of upper and lower solution definitions for second-order coupled systems by transforming the fourth-order differential equation into a second-order differential system. Then, by constructing a homotopy parameter and utilizing the maximum principle, we propose an upper and lower solutions method for studying a class of second-order coupled systems with Dirichlet boundary conditions and obtain an existence result.

Abstract:In this paper, we use the monotone iterative technique combined with cone theory to investigate the existence of solutions to the Cauchy problem for Caputo fractional differential equations in Banach spaces. New existence theorems are obtained for the case of a cone P being normal and fully regular respectively. Moreover, two examples are given to illustrate the abstract results.

Abstract:In this paper we develop the monotone method in the presence of upper and lower solutions for the 2nd order Lidstone boundary value problem [ u^(2n) (t) = f(t, u(t), u”(t),...,u^(2(n - 1)) (t)), 0 < t < 1,; u^(2i) (0) = u^(2i) (1) = 0, 0 ⩽ i ⩽ n - 1,; ] where f : [0, 1] × ℝ n → ℝ is continuous. We obtain sufficient conditions on f to guarantee the existence of solutions between a lower solution and an upper solution for the higher order boundary value problem.

Abstract:This paper is concerned with periodic problem of first-order implicit differential equations.By substituting the periodic viscosity upper-lower solutions for the classical periodic upper-lower solutions, the existence of periodic viscosity solutions which are Lipschitz is proved.On one hand,these results improve the corresponding ones in the literature in the way that they weaken the conditions in the literature. The approach here is mainly based on the viscosity solution theory developed in recent decades and the classical upper-lower solutions method.

We first deal with a corresponding linear problem and establish a maximum principle.
