From "Blueprint" to "Text":Change of the View on the Present Curriculum Contents

Abstract:The view on the "blueprint" curriculum content emphasizes on the purpose or original intention of the author or composer,which holds on the view of "the central theory of the writers or works",and regards the relationship between article and reader as the one between favor and acceptance ;it also focuses on the logicality and criterion of knowledge and requiring teachers to instruct as following prescribed order step by step and pays much attention to recitation,recollection and mechanical training.In the real teaching context,the view on the "blueprint" brings about a series of problems as follows:the missing of the communication between teacher and student,the degeneration of teaching as "discipline",and the lost of the true meaning of life,and the opposite tendency of curriculum knowledge with the free spirit of human beings.With the further implementation of new curriculum reform and the gradual establishment of new educational ideas,the view on "blueprint" curriculum content will be replaced by the new one — the view on the "text" curriculum content,which is not only the internal requirement of the new view on the essence of curriculum,but also the overall challenge to the "blueprint" of traditional teaching in all-direction,because of the special character of text.
