Design of Open NC System Based on Motion Controller

Abstract:In order to study the dynamic characteristics of machine tools,and to improve the motion control accuracy and the error compensation technology of NC system,an open NC system was developed.In the system,industrial computer was used as upper computer while motion controller was used as lower computer.In the design,the motion controller was set in the open-loop mode and the motion control system was designed through the upper computer.Operating on a high real-time operating system DOS,the system has an open control system kernel and can be used to collect signals from encoder and scalar for system analysis.The results indicate that the system has good real time performance,reliability and stability.
