Abstract:Based on industry PC and domestic GT400-SV multiaxis motion control card,a new open architecture numerical control shoe last machine tool was developed.The components of system hardware were proposed,and the structure of NC system application software was discussed.The software was designed and developed in the WINDOWS environment.Practicability and characteristics of open architecture were proved when shoe last machining on the control of the NC systems.

Abstract:An open CNC system based on PC and motion controller is discussed, Software and hardware of the system based on the idea of modularization construction is described. According to requirements of system management software, a kind of inheritance modular concentric rings structure as the system management software development model is designed. Then a high degree of integration, low coupling system management software is developed. Finally algorithms based on motion controller two–order interpolations are adopted, rough interpolation using Cubic b-spline curve chord segmentation interpolation algorithm. The actual application shows that the CNC system is effective.

Abstract:Basing on the PCI208 Motion Coordinator and Windows system, the article discusses the research on a Open CNC system software of "NC into PC" structure designed by Microsoft Visual C++6.0. The software succeeds in achieving the functions of Tool compensation, backlash compensation and executing G program to machining control. Further more, the software has a good expansibility, users can change the functions of it by themselves and do secondary research to it.

Abstract:A new method is presented to solve the open architecture problem and to improve the reliability of CNC system by using software reuse and component technology in this paper. At first,the feasibility of developing CNC system with software component is discussed, and the conception of CNC software components and the integrated and normative description of the component are also offered. Under this condition, this paper introduces a method for the analysis of reuse and the common principles that should be followed in the process for developing CNC systems with software component technology. Then the steps for developing software CNC system is described from the points of view of a developer and a consumer respectively. In the end,an example demonstrating the specific implement of this kind of thought is shown. This method is proved to be effective by developing a prototype example.

Abstract:Based on Industry PC and Windows 2000 operating system,a CNC system was built.A PMAC(Programmable Multi-Axis Controller) was invited to act as the numerical controller.The CNC's operating software was programmed by visual C++ and MFC(Microsoft Fundational Class Library).And the numeric controller's power and the IPC's management capability was fully explored.This method was successfully introduced into a numerical controlled drilling milling machine tool.

Abstract:To meet the need of advanced manufacturing technique, an open computer numerical control (CNC) software package for CNC machining is developed. Module library of the software package was of tree structure with a depth of 5. Terminal nodes of the tree were module units with unambiguous functions. Module units which dealt with real-time tasks were developed adopting real-time dynamical linked library (RTDLL), and non-real-time module units were developed with component object model (COM). CNC controllers for various machine tools could be built with the software package. The controllers’ external interfaces were coincident with the serial real-time communication system (SERCOS) international standards, and the internal interfaces followed the open modular architecture controller (OMAC) agreement. Motion controllers for 3-axis linkage milling machine tools and for 5-axis linkage milling machine tools were built using the software package. It is shown by experiments that controllers built can be used for motion control of CNC machine tools and CNC machine tools with the controllers have good processing performances.

Abstract:Several current popular international open numerical control systems are compared,based on the characteristics of the glasses processing industry and the corresponding problems,a type of open design scheme with the idea of"PC(Personal Computer)+ motion control card"is adopted to develop an economical numeric control system for laser welding.The system is stable;it has simple structure and reasonable price.The orientation accuracy and repeatability are both high.With the machine vision and 3D display,the teaching process is more convenient and particularly reduced the technical requirements for workers,so it has high cost-effective.Now,the system has been successfully applied in some glasses manufacturers and been very positive.

Abstract:This paper mainly focuses on designing an open CNC system. At first, the advantages and disadvantages of the three popular open numerical control technologies were discussed, and on the basis of demands analysis, this paper chose motion controller plus PC as the whole system model. Then, according to the system model, this article designed the hardware system for the control system, including choosing multi-axis motion control card, servo motors and their drivers. Thirdly, based on the features of this open numerical control system, the paper designed and put the software into three levels, namely low level of control software, mid-level of communication software, and high-level of management software respectively. Finally, in order to test the control performance of this open numerical control system, some experiments were carried out on a two-dimension motion platform, the results are satisfactory and error analysis on these experiments is also given out.

Abstract:In order to improve the openness, extensibility and efficiency of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) systems, the architecture and its implementation of an open CNC system for multi-axis machine tools based on The Windows Control and Automation Technology (TwinCAT) and .NET is proposed. In the proposed architecture, the real-time tasks, such as interpolation, real-time cutter compensation, coordinate transformation and motion control, are executed in the real-time kernel provided by TwinCAT, and the non-real-time tasks, such as code interpreter, offline cutter compensation and feedrate look-ahead, are executed in the Human Machine Interface (HMI) implemented on .NET platform. Moreover, an event driven data exchange method is proposed to realize the fast data exchange between the real-time tasks and the non-real-time tasks. The whole system is modularized by several independent modules, the inputs and outputs of which are standardized to improve the convenience of system extension and upgrade. Finally, an open CNC system is implemented based on the proposed architecture, on which experiments are conducted to validate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed architecture and its implementation.

Abstract:By analyzing the current development situation of open computer numerical control (CNC) system and architecture/ component software reuse technology, this paper researches on open CNC system based on this technology. Adopting domain engineering method, a CNC system is always organized with its data communication, which plays a role of key link. Furthermore, from which the reusable architecture of an open CNC system is extracted. Also the architecture is instanced to reusable data communication components, which differs from general architecture. The facet modal sorting, expression, storage and retrieval of CNC system components are introduced. Combined with all useful information as above, the integrated development platform of open CNC system is constructed. Supported by this platform, the workflow of developing open CNC systems includes two correlated courses: the development of reusable CNC components, and the construction of an application system with these reusable components. Furthermore, the real-time capability of a CNC application system on MS-Windows can be tested by this platform.
