A Research into Competency Model of Middle Management in Domestic Commercial Banks

Abstract:This paper presents a theoretical framework of competency model on the basis of enterprise development strategy and constructs a competency model for middle management of domestic commercial banks,which includes three types of model factors:physical factor,psychological factor and capacity factor.In detail,physical factor includes 3 secondary indicators,such as physical health;psychological factor is consist of 10 secondary indicators,such as integrity;capacity factor has 17 secondary indicators,such as risk management capacity.According to the test results based on structural equation,analysis with consideration of enterprise's development strategy is an effective approach to establishing competency model and can be popularized.Such model can provide scientific basis for the recruitment,configuration,training and assessment of middle management of commercial banks,which is in favour of enhancing the banks' core competence.
