Abstract:Rural planning and construction carries influential natural, economic, social and cultural connotation. The problem of rural features deficiency has prevailed in current Chinese rural planning and construction practice. Based on the problems revealed in rural planning and construction process in Zhejiang Province in China, the article presented a way of recognizing different rural landscape styles, and put forward guiding ideas and spatial strategies for the planning and construction of rural features, from the perspective of ecological system, production system, and living system (namely “EPL” system). Such research might provide guidance for the current construction of Chinese rural features.

Abstract:The Yangfusan landfill sealing disposal and ecological restoration project in Wenzhou is introduced in this artical. In this project, landscape architects collaborated with engineers in the environmental protection discipline. Cooperation of landscape architects and environment project engineers over two disciplines was experimented. From the perspective of landscape architecture, the landfill was not only treated as an environmental project object, but also taken as the physical base of ecological restoration. Meanwhile, environmental project equipments and landscape facilities were arranged and managed as a whole, all under a form of land art. On the base of this experiment, the idea of synthesis of the engineering technology, ecological restoration and impression of art was proposed.

Abstract:AbstractSince the new century, with the changing and development of the times, cultural characteristics such as informatization, digitalization and consumerization have been continuously highlighted. New science and technology are rapidly flooding urban space, and people’s lifestyle and value orientation have undergone subversive changes. In the field of public art, the works of public art in the city are no longer the aesthetic expression of a single individual, but the reaction medium of the interactive relationships between people and things, person and person, people and natural world. Interactive, experiential and participatory design methods are increasingly valued and become the most direct manifestation of the “publicity” of art. This article will take interactive design in urban public art as the main research object, carry out a local investigation on the practice of urban public art in Shanghai area, relying on the case, focus on analyzing the presentation types, formal characteristics and connotation levels of interactive design, and discuss the construction way of emotional ties and cultural identity among artists, designers and the public. The purpose of this study is to explore the new trend of the development of interactive creative forms and design methods of urban public art, and to recognize that the future practices of urban public art is bound to grow dynamically and is an organic art that includes science and technology, experience and feedback, thoughts and expressions, aesthetic activities and the overall environment of life.

Abstract:In the early stages of the reform and opening-up, the concept of co-construction gradually entered the public consciousness. China began to emphasize community development, community participation, and grassroots governance. Over time, China has increasingly emphasized multi-party participation, democratic decision-making, and collaborative construction in urban renewal, community governance, rural transformation, and cultural development. This emphasis on social participation and collaborative construction has gradually embedded the concept of co-construction, filled with a spirit of humanistic care, into the hearts of the people. This paper aims to delve into the "publicness" in public art under the perspective of the co-construction concept. By introducing relevant concepts such as co-construction, the paper clarifies the core concept of "publicness" under the co-construction perspective. It thoroughly analyzes the inseparable relationship between the co-construction concept and publicness in public art, elaborating on how the co-construction concept influences and guides the practice of public art design.

Abstract:In order to find a way to combine traditional culture with modern living needs, taking “Chinese painting” as the breakthrough point, through the study of the development process and artistic characteristics of Chinese painting, four aspects of classical philosophy, natural landscape image, brush and ink composition artistic conception, and abstract aesthetic conception contained in Chinese painting are summed up. The results of the study provide enlightenment for contemporary residential landscape design, and summarize the methods of creating Chinese paintings in residential landscape design. Thus, a residential landscape model with the characteristics of “Chinese painting” is found out.

Abstract:Ecological design concept is a design concept aimed at advocating green environmental protection and sustainable development, which is widely used in different cases of environmental design including urban and kindergarten. In our study, using literature research, case reference, and field research as research methods, through the theoretical research of domestic and foreign kindergarten environment design and interpretation of typical cases to summarize the ecological design method and design strategy, can be further applied in larger field such as urban, basin, and/or region. Then, take “Chenguang” kindergarten in Beijing as example to analyze ecological element in there. Aiming at ecological landscape, ecological humanities, and ecological experience as the goal, the kindergarten’s architectural appearance and indoor and outdoor environment have been transformed and redesigned. Ecological principle and ecological strategy from our study present an important reference meaning in improving the quality of urban space environment and shaping a good city image which are of great significance.

Abstract:"Eco-Landscape Infrastructure" has attracted people's attention with emerging practice,cases,and technology in the present world.Its role in reshaping contemporary landscapes through major public works has been witnessed all over the world.In terms of long-term social benefits,Eco-infrastructure is the blood of the cities,which is slow and long-lasting.When completed,its economic returns can also be slow and long-term.On one hand,infrastructure is a means to the end of a journey serving as a device for transporting,supporting and maintenance.On the other hand,it is also a catalyst,laying the foundations for social,economic and cultural changes and making the real world full of poetic meanings.Ecological civilization is a worldwide issue.It also has great significance for contemporary China.In the 16th National Congress it is made clear that Ecological civilization is one of the most important contents for socialist construction.As a result,we should not only attach great importance to ecological issues and thus solve the eco-environmental problems,but also view it as an important part for the construction of socialism with Chinese features as well as a significant issue for global development and human survival.Accordingly,with this ideological guidance,we can better recognize that the conventional infrastructure system,which was built based on population growth,is now unable to meet the challenges and needs of the ecological and sustainable urban development.Accordingly,it is even more challenging to achieve the goal of ecological civilization.It is under such a background that we put forward the theory of "Eco-landscape Infrastructure",which will be greatly helpful for exploring an effective way to control urban growth and protect its ecological and cultural characteristics.

Abstract:During the more than 100 years of modern urban landscape design and construction, in addition to the continuous deductive changes of design thinking, concepts, methods and means, the construction concept and design thinking have also changed for a long time. In different periods, the degree of involvement and the role and the function of the public art involved in the landscape are different, and the applied technology is always changing. This paper emphatically analyzes the role of public art design of digital technology and multisensor fusion technology in the construction of urban landscape in China in recent years, and reveals that after the digital technology and multisensor fusion technology art design are involved in the construction of urban space landscape, they have shifted from the important power of shaping urban space aesthetics to the development of ecological aesthetics. At the same time, in this process, public art and urban design have developed to a new stage, that is, from the physical space to the construction of the spiritual field, which has become the most vivid visual text of today's urban landscape, so as to further understand the significance and value of art in urban space.

Abstract:The concept of "historic buildings" is cultural with evolutionary characteristics, mainly constructed in the category of historical culture and people's living settlements. "Public art" is an artistic asset with aesthetic attributes in urban living spaces. It contains two connotations, "cultural landscape" and "cultural route", which form an artistic symbol of urban architectural space at the same time. Along with the progress of an urban renewal plan, a local culture characterized the urban landscape, making architecture a tool used to convey cultural identity spatially. Two coexisting issues can be seen through the accumulated structure and long-term changes of historic buildings, a region's appearance, and the content of the traditional architectural styles—cultural value preservation and modern urban renewal—which ferment and generate decision-making discussion of design subtly in every corner of a city. This study examines the extant literature and the design model of public art landscape setting to construct a design model that balances the cultural value of historic buildings, and the landscape of public art has been proposed as a result of this study.
