From Engineering to Ecology and Art——Yangfushan Landfill Sealing Disposal and Ecological Restoration Project in Wenzhou

Abstract:The Yangfusan landfill sealing disposal and ecological restoration project in Wenzhou is introduced in this artical. In this project, landscape architects collaborated with engineers in the environmental protection discipline. Cooperation of landscape architects and environment project engineers over two disciplines was experimented. From the perspective of landscape architecture, the landfill was not only treated as an environmental project object, but also taken as the physical base of ecological restoration. Meanwhile, environmental project equipments and landscape facilities were arranged and managed as a whole, all under a form of land art. On the base of this experiment, the idea of synthesis of the engineering technology, ecological restoration and impression of art was proposed.
