Abstract:The jury award winner's work in the international student design competition of the 44~(th) Annual IFLA World Congress 2007 in Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya,Malaysia,is introduced in this article.The project is about a waste dump of Yongfushan in Wenzhou,which has been dreadfully threatening surrounding environment and raising social problems in the process of urbanization.Environmental protecting technology,synthetically combined with landscape planning and design strategies,was applied into the process of converting the waste dump into a self-sustainable ecosystem with high biodiversity in the high density urban environment,which would not only benefit the site itself but also the prospect of the whole city.It is the dramatic conversion that will bring the human's long-held dream of better building human living environment and ultimately edenizing the world into reality.
