Study of YSZ Electrolyte Film Fabricated by Suspension

Abstract:Dense 27 μm,20 μm thickness 8% Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2(YSZ) electrolyte films were separately deposited on NiO-YSZ anode substrate by drop-coating.,and the cathode is fabricated through brush-painting.A single fuel cell was tested with hydrogen as the fuel and the cathode was exposed to air.The maximum power densities of two cells were 0.46 W/cm2 and 0.81 W/cm2 at 850℃,respectively.As a result,the cells reached excellent performance with its electrolyte film fabricated by suspension.
