Abstract:Human beings are embodied beings whose ontological characteristics are that they depend on the physical bodies, and at the same time their subjectivity are ontologically irreducible. Therefore, how to coherently and completely explain and understand human beings becomes a big problem in the philosophy of mind. If we adhere to the coherency of the basic positions of modern world view, there would have been the completeness in the explanation and understanding of consciousness in the sense of the hard problem. Roughly, there are three approaches to the situation of the completeness. However, because of a fundamental limitation, i.e. it is impossible to there be epistemologically an equivalent transformation between the two kinds of ontological forms (being and non-being), all the three approaches fail to realize the desire of both coherency and completeness in principle. The result is epistemologically pessimistic, but on the other hand, it is positive, because it indicates that individual experiences are unique.

Abstract:The"abstract human being"is the theoretical basis of "realistic individual".Marx’s criticism on the"abstract human being"began with"1844 economy philosophy manuscript"published in "The German Ideology",which presented the development of the"realistic individual"from a simple conception to a mature one."Realistic individual"is specifically identified in the process of production and relevant social relations.The basic characteristics of "realistic individual"can be understood from several integrations: natural and social,perceptual and rational,interests and needs,material production and human life itself.As a philosophical conception,"realistic individual"is quite abstract."The people"is the logical extension under certain historical conditions of "realistic individual",which tends to be abstract."People in civil society"is a"regression"and concrete manifestation of"realistic individual"in the contemporarily social and political life and is also the reflection of time spirit.Reshaping the "people in civil society"and constructing civil society are the request of the time.

Abstract:The inquiry into the relationships of awareness with reflection is concerned with the clarification of the nature of consciousness.This paper first argues that the judgment of consciousness has to come out of the self-evidence of first-person experience,so the nature of consciousness consists in awareness and its self-awareness in first-person experiential present.Based on this argument,the paper makes a key analysis of the differences between awareness and reflection,and shows that the essence of reflection lies in,with the help of memory and language,a capability for the latter conscious events making the deposited images of the former conscious event as its experiential content.The structure of reflection is "I"-am-aware-of-that-"I-was-aware-of-X",and the very double awareness of reflection constitutes the semantic intension of the word of "know".Finally,this paper makes a brief analysis of the similarities of the demarcation between primary consciousness and higher-order consciousness by A.Damasio with the demarcation between awareness and reflective consciousness by us.

It then explores the problem of text world identif ication further and illustrates a principle for identifying the text world. Abstract:There is a paradox of reality in the linguistic construction of truth and realistic fictional truth, which pursues maximum reality. This paper discusses the relations between reality and linguistic construction and between truth and fiction. And by analyzing some examples in George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four, it concludes that maximum fictional reality is achieved by the author's deliberate linguistic stylistic devices of toning down the assertiveness and committing less to fictional propositions, and that these stylistic features serve to trick the readers into believing what is nothing but fiction.

Abstract:In order to reject the notion that information is always about something, the "It from Bit" idea relies on the nonexistence of a realistic framework that might underly quantum theory. This essay develops the case that there is a plausible underlying reality: one actual spacetime-based history, although with behavior that appears strange when analyzed dynamically (one time-slice at a time). By using a simple model with no dynamical laws, it becomes evident that this behavior is actually quite natural when analyzed "all-at-once" (as in classical statistical mechanics). The "It from Bit" argument against a spacetime-based reality must then somehow defend the importance of dynamical laws, even as it denies a reality on which such fundamental laws could operate.

Abstract:According to Adorno,Husserl's conceptual abstraction theory is entangled n the predicament of intermediate theory,the ambiguity of "here this" and the tautology paradox,hence being a failure in the very foundation.However,in Husserl's view,Adorno substantially misses the inherent relationships between intentionality and experience,between dependent content and representation,and between the dependent stuff and intentionality,thus having shadowed the modern value of Husserl's conceptual abstraction theory.

Abstract:The concept of "reality" is often raised in the context of philosophical foundations of physics or interpretations of quantum mechanics. When this term is so raised, it is a warning to me that I am about to be led down a rabbit hole. Such diversions usually lead nowhere unless you consider endless discussions of Schrodinger's cat, wave function collapse, quantum non-locality, and parallel universes to be useful. A prime example is the famous Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen paper wherein they concluded that the quantum wave function cannot provide a complete description of physical reality. In this essay I suggest that, in physics discourse, the term "reality" should be avoided at all costs.

Abstract:In Chinese,ZHEN and ZHENLI are two different concepts with different meaning.The former means while the latter mainly something like great or correct theory.The author insists on translating truth in the Western philosophy with the concept ZHEN instead of ZHENLI for two reasons.One is that the original and literal meaning of is being true and the other that it is the common topic both for Western logicians and philosophers who understand and interpret it quite differently.Besides,one of the most important issues and concepts with which the Western philosophers are most concern is not that in the sense of great or correct theory,but that in the sense of being true.It is here that we can see the great difference between Chinese philosophy and Western Philosophy.

Abstract:Defining reality and the mechanisms by which people perceive it is a difficult and challenging task in this age of post-truth, where everything is relative, interpretable, and dynamic, without generally accepted norms. However, there is a close relationship between the human and the social environment. This binomial is a construction that integrates the human mind, body, spirit and environment. The continuous interaction between the human and the social environment creates the reality that manifests itself as a continuous process of coding and decoding. But, the way we interpret a situation determines the consequences of our actions and even the way things can evolve, so starting from the wrong premises, from a wrong interpretation of a situation, people behave accordingly. Therefore, in this material starting from the way the representation of the individual is formed about the environment, society, world from the perspective of neuroscience, social psychology, cognitive sociology, the main aspects of how to construct reality will be reviewed.

Abstract:In Chinese,"being" has quite a few definitions,including the definition of "existence".However,its basic usage is a link verb.In Western philosophy,"being" and "existence" are two completely different concepts because "existence" cannot reveal the implications of "being" or vice versa."Being" as a core concept reflects Western philosophy as a disciplinary category in terms of epistemology and mirrors the basic way of understanding the world and mankind himself.In this case,"being" should be understood as "to be" rather than "existence" and its understanding should be related to "truth" and the examples in Western philosophy and "ways of being" all the time.Thus,a correct understanding of "being" should rely on an understanding of its historical development in Western philosophy rather than the surface meaning of the Chinese translation.

Abstract:The Western style of liberal democracy as a description of political life may carry with it a propensity of "one-dimensionalisation",namely making flat human aspirations and demands.At the same time,considering the global phenomenon of western countries exporting their own paradigm(s) of "a political life of liberal democracy",this "one-dimensionalisation" also means prescribing to other countries a single model of imagining political life,rendering them without no means and mental capacity to realise and proactively break the limitation imposed by such paradigmatic prescription.This ideologicalised export of "political life",however,may become the starting point for our innovation if viewed from the other perspective around.For instance,the concept of "qingli" in and of itself contains both a demand for location and that for particularisation of living contexts,thus normatively enabling us to have a greater possibility of imagining and innovating upon political life.
