Abstract:The"abstract human being"is the theoretical basis of "realistic individual".Marx’s criticism on the"abstract human being"began with"1844 economy philosophy manuscript"published in "The German Ideology",which presented the development of the"realistic individual"from a simple conception to a mature one."Realistic individual"is specifically identified in the process of production and relevant social relations.The basic characteristics of "realistic individual"can be understood from several integrations: natural and social,perceptual and rational,interests and needs,material production and human life itself.As a philosophical conception,"realistic individual"is quite abstract."The people"is the logical extension under certain historical conditions of "realistic individual",which tends to be abstract."People in civil society"is a"regression"and concrete manifestation of"realistic individual"in the contemporarily social and political life and is also the reflection of time spirit.Reshaping the "people in civil society"and constructing civil society are the request of the time.

Abstract:Marx's Doctoral Dissertation opens its unique vision in the horizon of the theory of meaning from the analysis of the Epicurean philosophy, which is expressed notably by the concept ”self-consciousness.” In his doctoral dissertation, Marx uses this concept in two ways that is different from Hegel and Bruno Bauer. And furthermore, he shows its particularity in the theory of meaning that can be concluded as the followings: first, the self-consciousness determined by the ”form” with the meaning of ”absolute negativity” is the method for self-consciousness to express itself; second, the self-consciousness determined by the ”form” with the meaning of ”shaping” determines the appearance of existence as being and material; third, the method of phenomena appearance and the nature is put forward by the sensible self-consciousness determined by the time as the ”absolute form” of phenomena; and finally, the relationship between self-consciousnesses is the method of liberty appearance.

Abstract:The introduction of the concept of life\|world has served to intenasify enlightenment of the notion of praxis.but we are cautioned not to expect too much of it both in real life situations and in academic studies.After all,it is a concept introduced from the West without a definite idea even in the Western academic circle.Theoretical basis of modern philosophy,the author suggests,should aim to realize transformation of non\|Westernized cultural tradition through self\|criticism of life\|world,developing from individualism of existence to the social historic notion of survival of mankind.Only in this way can the stage of conscious construction of the existentia be arrived at.

Abstract:Today Geistesleben(spiritual life)has abandoned its transcendency and willingly attached itself to and become assimilated with a pale and vulgar form of reification,resulting in the reification of Geistesleben itself.Geistesleben has gained sensual diversity and,led by commodity fetishism and its cultural industry and popular culture,has fallen into the pitfall of irrational sensual pleasure and hedonism.Pathological conditions have appeared in people's Geistesleben.The globalization of capitalism has made the situation worse.The essential nature of reification remains alienation.It reflects the fact that the present age is a transitional and immature period in the development of world history,as seen in the failure of the individualization and socialization of the present time to create a pattern of Geistesleben that is consistent with modern civilization.Reification reveals in a profound manner the nihilism of our time.Nihilism is evident not only in the current crisis of Geistesleben in the West,but also in its spread as a universal cancer in this era of global capitalism.Cultural construction in contemporary China must address this problem of nihilism.

Abstract:We present an analysis of a notion of the meaning of life, according to which our lives have meaning if we spend them intentionally producing what has value for ourselves or others. In this sense our lives can have meaning even if a science-inspired view of the world is correct, and they are only transient phenomena in a vast universe. Our lives are more or less meaningful in this sense due to the difference in value for ourselves and others we intentionally create while leading them. These inequalities are morally unjustifiable because they are ultimately due to factors beyond our responsibility and control. But from the point of view of eternity these differences in meaningfulness and value dwindle to insignificance, and this offers some consolation for the unjustifiable inequalities.

Abstract:Wangbi's epistemology comprises two parts: analysis between words and meaning(yanyizhibian)and experience of non-being (tiwu). The former is put forward in zhouyilveli·mingxiang, which has two paragraphs. Compared with first paragraph, second paragraph has gotten less attention. However, it has profound thought, which is the meaning is in front of image. It made important influence on Chinese Aesthetics. The latter is ultimate aim of wangbi's philosophy. There are inner connections between both, which works to our understanding about wangbi's philosophy. The experience of non-being can be thought as final horizon of Chinese philosophy and Chinese Aesthetics.

Abstract:In Chinese,"being" has quite a few definitions,including the definition of "existence".However,its basic usage is a link verb.In Western philosophy,"being" and "existence" are two completely different concepts because "existence" cannot reveal the implications of "being" or vice versa."Being" as a core concept reflects Western philosophy as a disciplinary category in terms of epistemology and mirrors the basic way of understanding the world and mankind himself.In this case,"being" should be understood as "to be" rather than "existence" and its understanding should be related to "truth" and the examples in Western philosophy and "ways of being" all the time.Thus,a correct understanding of "being" should rely on an understanding of its historical development in Western philosophy rather than the surface meaning of the Chinese translation.

Abstract:The modern world is a secular society characterized by rationalization,differentiation,free individual and pluralism.The traditionally organized religions have been moved away from its central position to the edge in modern world.From the perspectives of Simmel and Luckmann,the change can be called transformations of "religion" into "religiousness" and "visible religion" into "invisible religion".However,the marginalization of the traditionally organized religions does not mean a complete disappearance of religious significance in modern human lives.On the contrary,the individualistic orientation of modern religion indicates that religion has put its root into the existence of life,which does not necessarily lead to collapse of the foundation of modern ethical life.Indeed the consensus on the meaning of modern ethical life has been involved in difficulties.Therefore,to reconstruct the religious domain of individual life and to hold it as being both immanent and transcendent is the orientation of religion in modern world.To fulfill it,interactions between individuals in their life circles are needed.
