Abstract:In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(26)H(33)N(3)O(4), there are two crystallographically independent mol-ecules. The two cyclohexane rings are trans-fused; the ring neighboring the phenyl group is in a half-chair conformation and the other is in a chair conformation. The two nitro groups and the benzene ring of the dinitro-phenyl group are almost coplanar. Intra-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak inter-molecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds are observed.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C(13)H(10)N(4)O(4), were obtained from a condensation reaction of benzaldehyde and 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule assumes an approximately planar E configuration. Within the dinitrophenyl moiety, the average distance for the aromatic C-C bonds close to the imino group [1.417 (3) A] is appreciably longer than the average distance for the other aromatic C-C bonds in the same phenyl ring [1.373 (3) A]. This increased distance may be a result of the overlap of the non-bonding orbital of the imino N atom with the pi orbitals of the arene. It is likely that pi-pi stacking exists in the crystal structure.

Abstract:In the title compound, C(12)H(16)O(2), the plane of the carboxylic acid group is almost perpendicular to the benzene ring [dihedral angle 80.9 (3)°] and the tert-butyl unit is disordered over two sets of sites in a 0.503 (6):0.497 (6) ratio. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetric dimers arise from pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the carboxylic acid groups.

Abstract:The title compound {4-[2-(9-hexyl-9hexyl-carbazol-3-yl)vinyl]phenyl} dimethylamine has been synthesized by the well known Wittig reaction, and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 47.87(2), b = 10.222(4), c = 9.612(4) Aring;, β = 92.401(9)°, V= 4699(3) Å3, Z = 8, C28H32N2, M r = 396.56, Dc = 1.121 g/cm3, F(000) = 1712 and μ/(Moka) = 0.065 mm 1 .The final R and wR are 0.0793 and 0.1983, respectively for 3524 observed reflections with I> 2σ(I). In the title compound, the bond lengths are normal, and the crystal is stabilized by Van der Waals' forces.

Abstract:Crystals of the title compound, C15H14ClN3O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2-chloro-3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine. Within the nitrophenyl moiety, the distances of 1.401 (2) and 1.399 (2) A for the two C—C bonds adjacent to the imino group are appreciably longer than the average distance of 1.377 (2) A for the other aromatic C—C bonds in the same benzene ring. The crystal packing involves π–π stacking effects.

Abstract:The crystals of the title compound, C15H15N3O4, were obtained from a condensation reaction of 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 4-nitrophenylhydrazine. The molecule displays a nearly planar structure. The overlapped arrangement of nearly parallel benzene rings of neighboring molecules and centroid-centroid distance of 3.5642 (16) Angstrom suggest pi,pi stacking. Adjacent molecules are linked to each other via N-H...O hydrogen bonds to form a helical supramolecular structure.

Significantly different C-N(nitro) and N-O bond distances are observed for the o- and p-nitro groups. The aromatic C-C bonds close to the imino group are longer than the others in the same benzene ring. The overlapped arrangement of nearly parallel benzene rings from neighboring molecules and centroid-to-centroid distance of 3.9370 (9) Angstrom suggest pi-pi stacking.
