Abstract:In this paper, we show a mean convergence theorem for a mapping with an attractive point in a Hilbert space by using a quasinonexpansive extension of the mapping and a mean convergence theorem for a quasinonexpansive mapping.

Abstract:We discuss the approximation method of finding a common fixed point of two certain mappings defined on a Banach space. This paper deals with three modes of convergence, namely, weak, strong, and △‐convergences in the presence of the uniform convexity of the norm. It is worth mentioning that the △‐convergence which is closely connected with the weak convergence is discussed without assuming the Opial's condition. Our results not only generalize the results recently announced by Garodia et al. but also rectify a gap in their paper. Finally, some concrete numerical examples are shown that our results are genuine generalizations of a number of results in the literature.

Abstract:In this paper,we consider an iterative scheme for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of a relatively nonexpansive mapping and the set of solutions of the variational inclusion for an inverse-strongly accretive mapping and m-accretive mapping in a real Banach space.Then we show that the sequence converges strongly to a common element of two sets.

Abstract:The purpose of this article is to prove strong convergence theorems for common fixed points of two closed hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces. In order to get the strong convergence theorems, the monotone hybrid algorithms are presented and are used to approximate the common fixed points. Finally, a new simplified hybrid algorithm has been proposed and relative convergence theorem has been proved by using the new method for proofs. The results of this article modify and improve the results of Matsushita, Takahashi [S. Matsushita, W. Abstract:Inexact proximal point methods are extended to find singular points for multivalued vector fields on Hadamard manifolds. Convergence criteria are established under some mild conditions. In particular, in the case of proximal point algorithm, that is, ε _n=0 for each n , our results improve sharply the corresponding results in Li et al. ( 2009 ). Applications to optimization problems, variational inequality problems and gradient methods are also given.

Abstract:In this paper, some properties of the generalized f-projection operator are proved in Banach spaces. Using these results, the strong convergence theorems for relatively nonexpansive mappings are studied in Banach spaces. Abstract:Consider a nonexpansive self-mapping T of a bounded closed convex subset of a Banach space. Banach's contraction principle guarantees the existence of approximating fixed point sequences for T. However such sequences may not be strongly convergent, in general, even in a Hilbert space. It is shown in this paper that in a real smooth and uniformly convex Banach space, appropriately constructed approximating fixed point sequences can be strongly convergent.

Abstract:The notions of Lipschitz conditions with L average are introduced to the study of convergence analysis of Gauss–Newton’s method for singular systems of equations. Unified convergence criteria ensuring the convergence of Gauss–Newton’s method for one kind of singular systems of equations with constant rank derivatives are established and unified estimates of radii of convergence balls are also obtained. Applications to some special cases such as the Kantorovich type conditions, γ-conditions and the Smale point estimate theory are provided and some important known results are extended and/or improved.

Abstract:We give a brief account on a basic result (Lemma \ref{lem2}) which is a very useful tool in proving various convergence theorems in the framework of the iterative approximation of fixed points of demicontractive mappings in Hilbert spaces. This Lemma relates the class of quasi-nonexpansive mappings, by one hand, and the class of $k$-demicontractive mappings (quasi $k$-strict pseudocontractions), on the other hand and essentially states that the class of demicontractive mappings, which strictly includes the class of quasi-nonexpansive mappings, can be embedded in the later by means of an averaged perturbation. From the point of view of the fixed point problem, this means that any convergence result for Krasnoselskij-Mann iterative algorithms in the class of $k$-demicontractive mappings can be derived from its corresponding counterpart from quasi-nonexpansive mappings.

Abstract:Recently, CQ method has been investigated extensively. However, it is mainly applied to modify Mann, Ishikawa and Halpern iterations to get strong convergence. In this paper, we study the properties of CQ method and proposed a framework. Based on that, we obtain a series of strong convergence theorems. Some of them are the extensions of previous results. On the other hand, CQ method, monotone Q method, monotone C method and monotone CQ method, used to be given separately, have the following relations: CQ method TRUE $\Rightarrow$ monotone Q method TRUE $\Rightarrow$ monotone C method TRUE $\Leftrightarrow$ monotone CQ method TRUE.
