Abstract:The purpose of this article is threefold. The first is to construct a Nevanlina theory for meromorphic mappings from a polydisc to a compact complex manifold. In particular, we give a simple proof of Lemma on logarithmic derivative for nonzero meromorphic functions on $\mathbb{C}^l.$ The second is to improve the definition of the non-integrated defect relation of H. Fujimoto \cite{F2} and to show two theorems on the new non-integrated defect relation of meromorphic maps from a closed submanifold of $\mathbb{C}^l$ to a compact complex manifold. The third is to give a unicity theorem for meromorphic mappings from a Stein manifold to a compact complex manifold.

Local Normal Forms of Noncommutative Functions

Abstract:This article describes local normal forms of functions in noncommuting variables, up to equivalence generated by isomorphism of noncommutative Jacobi algebras, extending singularity theory in the style of Arnold's commutative local normal forms into the noncommutative realm. This generalisation unveils many new phenomena, including an ADE classification when the Jacobi ring has dimension zero and, by suitably taking limits, a further ADE classification in dimension one. These are natural generalisations of the simple singularities and those with infinite multiplicity in Arnold's classification. We obtain normal forms away from some exceptional Type E cases. Remarkably these normal forms have no moduli, and the key new feature is that the noncommutative world affords larger families. This theory has a range of immediate consequences to the birational geometry of 3-folds. The normal forms of dimension zero are the analytic classification of smooth 3-fold flops, and one outcome of NC singularity theory is the first complete list of all Type D flopping germs, with variants covering Type E. The normal forms of dimension one have further ramifications to divisorial contractions to a curve. In addition, the general techniques also give strong evidence towards new contractibility criteria for rational curves.

Nevanlinna theory on complete Kähler manifolds with non-negative Ricci curvature

Abstract:The paper develops an equidistribution theory of meromorphic mappings from a complete Kähler manifold with non-negative Ricci curvature into a complex projective manifold intersecting normal crossing divisors. When the domain manifolds are of maximal volume growth, one obtains a second main theorem with a refined error term. As a result, we prove a sharp defect relation in Nevanlinna theory. Furthermore, our results are applied to the propagation problems of algebraic dependence. As major consequences, we set up several unicity theorems for dominant meromorphic mappings on complete Kähler manifolds. In particular, we prove a five-value theorem on complete Kähler manifolds, which gives an extension of Nevanlinna's five-value theorem for meromorphic functions on $\mathbb C.$

Abstract:Let f be a transcendental meromorphic function on the complex plane ℂ, let a be a non-zero finite complex number and let n and k be two positive integers. In this paper, we prove that if n≥k+1, then $\smash{f+a(f^{(k)})^n}$ assumes each value b∈ℂ infinitely often. Also, the related normal criterion for families of meromorphic functions is given. Our results generalize the related results of Fang and Zalcman.

Abstract:In this paper we generalize a result of Ye, Pang and Yang[12] on the normality of a family of holomorphic curves in $P^N(\mathbb{C})$. Further we obtain a normality criterion for family of meromorphic functions that partially share wandering holomorphic functions with their derivatives. We also devise a tractable representation of complex valued holomorphic functions from D as functions from D to $P^2(\mathbb{C})$ obtain a normality criterion that leads to a counterexample to the converse of Bloch's principle.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove a normal criteria for family of meromorphic functions. As an application of that result, we establish a uniqueness theorem for entire function concerning a conjecture of R. Bruck. The above uniqueness theorem is an improvement of a problem studied by L. Z. Yang et. al [14]. However, our method differs the method of L. Z. Yang et. al [14]. We mainly use normal family theory and combine it with Nevanlinna theory instead of using only the Nevanlinna theory as in [14].

Abstract:In this paper, we extend a result of Schwick concerning normality and sharing values in one complex variable for families of holomorphic curves taking values in $\mathbb{P}^n$. We consider wandering moving hyperplanes (i.e., depending on the respective holomorphic curve in the family under consideration), and establish a sufficient condition of normality concerning shared hyperplanes.

Abstract:In this paper, we focus on the associated primes of powers of monomial ideals and asymptotic behavior properties such as normally torsion-freeness, normality, the strong persistence property, and the persistence property. In particular, we introduce the concept of monomial ideals of well-nearly normally torsion-free type, and show that these ideals are normal. After that, we present some results on the existence of embedded associated prime ideals in the associated primes set of powers of monomial ideals. Further, we employ them in investigating the edge and cover ideals of cones of graphs. Next, we present counterexamples to several questions concerning the relations between relevant algebraic properties of the edge ideals of clutters and complement clutters. We conclude by providing counterexamples to questions on the possible connections between normally torsion-freeness and normality of monomial ideals under polarization.

Abstract:We review a recent generalization of Normal Form Theory to systems (Hamiltonian ones or general ODEs) where the perturbing term is not periodic in one coordinate variable. The main difference with the standard case relies on the non uniqueness of the Normal Form and the total absence of the small divisors problem. The exposition is quite general, so as to allow extensions to the case of more non--periodic coordinates, and more functional settings. Here, for simplicity, we work in the real--analytic class.

Abstract:In this paper, we explore a generalization of one-dimensional tropical Nevanlinna theory developed by Halburd & Southall and Laine & Toghe for a scheme on general locally finite graphs. We first give a probabilistic interpretation of a fundamental observation in one-dimensional tropical Nevanlinna theory on the graph with countably infinitely many vertices of degree two, aiming at its extension in terms of one-dimensional Brownian motion. A counterpart of Lemma on the logarithmic derivative in the classical Nevanlinna theory was proved by Halburd and Southall (cf. Int. Math. Res. Not. 2009:887–911, 2009, https://doi.org/10.1093/imrn/rnn150). Taking advantage of the stochastic analytical interpretation, we prove an analogous result to their lemma on the logarithmic derivative on infinite graphs admitting tree structure.

Abstract:In this paper, we prove some normality criteria concerning transitivity of normality from one family of meromorphic functions to another which improve and generalize some recent results. We also prove some value distribution results for certain differential polynomials which lead to some normality criteria involving sharing of holomorphic functions with certain differential polynomials. As a consequence, a counterexample to the converse of the Bloch's principle is also given.

Abstract:This paper consists of three parts. First, we give so far the best condition under which the shift invariance of the counting function, and of the characteristic of a subharmonic function, holds. Second, a difference analogue of logarithmic derivative of a δ-subharmonic function is established allowing the case of hyper-order equal to one and minimal hyper-type, which improves the condition of the hyper-order less than one. Finally, we make a careful discussion of a well-known difference equation and give out the possible forms of the equation under a growth condition for the solutions.

Abstract:We propose a new approach to the theory of normal forms for Hamiltonian systems near a non-resonant elliptic singular point. We consider the space of all Hamiltonian functions with such an equilibrium position at the origin and construct a differential equation in this space. Solutions of this equation move Hamiltonian functions towards their normal forms. Shifts along the flow of this equation correspond to canonical coordinate changes. So, we have a continuous normalization procedure. The formal aspect of the theory presents no difficulties. The analytic aspect and the problems of convergence of series are as usual non-trivial.
