Abstract:Let l be a positive integer, be a constant, and ( ) be a function holomorphic in a domain D , all of whose zeros have multiplicity at most l , and let be a family of meromorphic functions defined in D . If, for every function , (a) all zeros of f are multiple, and ; (b) ; (c) all poles of f have multiplicity at least , then is normal in D . Also, we give an example to show that the number is sharp, and prove that the counterexample is unique in some sense.

Abstract:In this paper, a normality criterion concerning a sequence of meromorphic functions and their differential polynomials is obtained. Precisely, we have proved: Let $\left\{f_j\right\}$ be a sequence of meromorphic functions in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ such that, for each $j,$ $f_j$ has poles of multiplicity at least $m,~m\in\mathbb{N}.$ Let $\left\{h_j\right\}$ be a sequence of holomorphic functions in $\mathbb{D}$ such that $h_j\rightarrow h$ locally uniformly in $\mathbb{D},$ where $h$ is holomorphic in $\mathbb{D}$ and $h\not\equiv 0.$ Let $Q[f_j]$ be a differential polynomial of $f_j$ having degree $\lambda_Q$ and weight $\mu_Q.$ If, for each $j,$ $f_j(z)\neq 0$ and $Q[f_j]-h_j$ has at most $\mu_Q + \lambda_Q(m-1)-1$ zeros, ignoring multiplicities, in $\mathbb{D},$ then $\left\{f_j\right\}$ is normal in $\mathbb{D}.$

Abstract:In this paper we generalize a result of Ye, Pang and Yang[12] on the normality of a family of holomorphic curves in $P^N(\mathbb{C})$. Further we obtain a normality criterion for family of meromorphic functions that partially share wandering holomorphic functions with their derivatives. We also devise a tractable representation of complex valued holomorphic functions from D as functions from D to $P^2(\mathbb{C})$ obtain a normality criterion that leads to a counterexample to the converse of Bloch's principle.

Suppose that for all f in F the second iterate of f does not have fixed points for which the modulus of the multiplier is greater than K. We show that then F is normal. This is deduced from a result about the multipliers of iterated polynomials.

Abstract:We study second order linear homogeneous differential equations a(x)y'' + b(x)y' + c(x)y = 0 with analytic coefficients in a neighborhood of a regular singularity in the sense of Frobenius. These equations are model for a number of natural phenomena in sciences and applications in engineering. We address questions which can be divided in the following groups: (i) Regularity of solutions. (ii) Analytic classification of the differential equation. (iii) Formal and differentiable rigidity. (iv) Synthesis and uniqueness of ODEs with a prescribed solution. Our approach is inspired by elements from analytic theory of singularities and complex foliations, adapted to this framework. Our results also reinforce the connection between classical methods in second order analytic ODEs and (geometric) theory of singularities. Our results, though of a clear theoretical content, are important in justifying many procedures in the solution of such equations.

Abstract:We show that the solution to the semi-linear Klein–Gordon equation on the circle with a nonlinearity satisfying a convenient condition, exists almost globally, for almost every positive mass, provided that it is either even or odd as a function of the space variable. We also show, that if the nonlinearity is independent of the space derivative of the unknown and if it is also even as a function of the time derivative, then the solution exists almost globally, for almost every positive mass. The results are based on the method of normal forms. The difficulty is to find a structure of the nonlinearity so that the process of normal forms can be performed up to any order.

The adaptation of general linear methods is considered. It is proved that A-stable general linear methods can inherit the asymptotic stability of underlying linear systems. Abstract:In this paper, we find that the integrated form $d_F$ of a complex Finsler metric $F$ is inner. The distance $d_F$ is complete if and only if every closed bounded subset of a complex manifold $M$ is compact. We prove a version of theorem for normal families of holomorphic mappings between two complex Finsler manifolds, i.e, the theorem of Montel in complex Finsler manifolds. Our results extend the basic theorem of strongly negatively curved families for a Hermitian manifold [Wu, Acta Math. 119(1967), 193-233] or [Grauert, Reckziegel, Math. Z. 89(1965), 108-125]. As applications, we obtain a complex Finsler version of theorems $A$-$F$ in [Wu, Acta Math. 119(1967), 193-233], including the Cartan-Carathéodory-Kaup-Wu theorem, the theorem of the automorphism group on a complex Finsler manifold and some rigid results.

Abstract:We are concerned with solutions of the following quasilinear Schrödinger equations − div ( φ 2 ( u ) ∇ u ) + φ ( u ) φ ′ ( u ) | ∇ u | 2 + λ u = f ( u ) , x ∈ R N with prescribed mass ∫ R N u 2 d x = c , where N ⩾ 3, c > 0, λ ∈ R appears as the Lagrange multiplier and φ ∈ C 1 ( R , R + ). The nonlinearity f ∈ C ( R , R ) is allowed to be mass-subcritical, mass-critical and mass-supercritical at origin and infinity. Via a dual approach, the fixed point index and a global branch approach, we establish the existence of normalized solutions to the problem above. The results extend previous results by L. Jeanjean, J. J. Zhang and X.X. Zhong to the quasilinear case.

Abstract:In this paper, we extend a result of Schwick concerning normality and sharing values in one complex variable for families of holomorphic curves taking values in $\mathbb{P}^n$. We consider wandering moving hyperplanes (i.e., depending on the respective holomorphic curve in the family under consideration), and establish a sufficient condition of normality concerning shared hyperplanes.

Abstract:This paper offers a new and complete description of subnormal solutions of certain non-homogeneous second order periodic linear differential equations first studied by Gundersen and Steinbart in 1994. We have established a previously unknown relation that the general solutions (\textit{i.e.}, whether subnormal or not) of the DEs can be solved explicitly in terms of classical special functions, namely the Bessel, Lommel and Struve functions, which are important because of their numerous physical applications. In particular, we show that the subnormal solutions are written explicitly in terms of the degenerate Lommel functions $S_{\mu, \nu}(\zeta)$ and several classical special polynomials related to the Bessel functions. In fact, we solve an equivalent problem in special functions that each branch of the Lommel function $S_{\mu, \nu}(\zeta)$ degenerates if and only if $S_{\mu, \nu}({\rm e}^z)$ has finite order of growth in $\mathbf{C}$. We achieve this goal by proving new properties and identities for these functions. A number of semi-classical quantization-type results are obtained as consequences. Thus our results not only recover and extend the result of Gundersen and Steinbart \cite{GS94}, but the new identities and properties found for the Lommel functions are of independent interest in a wider context.
