Abstract:An AUV can be utilized to harvest data from sensor nodes on the seafloor by an optical link. This paper addresses issues that related the vehicle motion to the optical communication quality between the vehicle and the sensor node. Channel characterization of the optical communications is simulated by a Monte Carlo method. The Henyey-Greenstein model is used to compute the distribution of scattering angle of the node. After a large number of photons are tracked, an optical power map of light distribution can be calculated. Selections of control parameters such as vehicle path, altitude and velocity are discussed based on light distribution above the sensor node.

Abstract:AIM: Reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) is a well recognized treatment for many shoulder conditions, including rotator cuff arthropathy, primary glenohumeral joint arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and can be utilized in both trauma and revision settings. Over the past 10 years its popularity in New Zealand has been increasing, with a 6-7% annual growth during this period. The proposed advantages of a stemless (sRSA) design are to preserve humeral bone stock, limit periprosthetic fractures and can be indicated in patients with abnormal diaphyseal humeral anatomy. To date there is only one study evaluating the outcomes of Lima stemless SMR implant. We present our data with an aim to report how the stemless reverse arthroplasty compares to a conventional stemmed implant.METHODS: A retrospective review was performed of a consecutive series from a single institution between 2015 to 2020. Endpoints were defined as final follow-up at a minimum of 2 years. Patients were excluded from final analysis if they had a revision. Thirty-three patients were identified as having had sRSA. Thirty patients had PROMS and radiographs at minimum 2 years follow-up. Three patients were revised within 2 years. The same sample size (n=33) of stemmed RSA was selected for comparison RESULTS: A total of 60 patients were included in the final analysis, of which 30 were stemless and 30 stemmed. The demographic characteristics of the two groups were comparable except age at operation which was statistically significant (P=0.001), 77 years (stemmed) vs 65 years (stemless). The mean OSS score in the stemless group was 40.1 versus 40 in the stemmed group. The ASES was 72.9 in the stemless group and 79 in the stemmed group. The patient reported outcome measures, pain scores or satisfaction were not statistically significant between the two groups. In terms of radiographic data, subsidence of two sRSA was observed but the patients had no clinical symptoms. Also in the sRSA group one patient had an acromial stress fracture, and one patient had a superficial wound infection successfully treated with oral antibiotics. In terms of revisions in the sRSA group, one patient was revised due to chronic infection, one revised as a result of a periprosthetic fracture following a fall and one revised for gross instability.CONCLUSIONS: Early results of sRSA are promising and show similar outcomes to a conventional stemmed implant.

Abstract:Background The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of humeral position of Affinis short implant in stemless anatomic total shoulder arthroplasties (STSA) on clinical and radiological results and mid- to long-term survival in the treatment of primary osteoarthritis (OA) of the shoulder. Methods 80 patients treated with a stemless shoulder arthroplasty for OA of the shoulder were evaluated with a mean follow-up (FU) of 92 ± 14 months (range 69 to 116 months) by Constant (CS)-Score, Disability of Shoulder, Arm and Hand (DASH)-Score and active range of motion (ROM). Radiographic assessment for bone adaptations and humeral implant position was performed by plain X-rays. Determination of pre- and postoperative center of rotation (COR) was used to assess the restoration of the geometry of the humeral head. The appraisal of proper humeral component positioning was correlated with the functional outcomes. A Kaplan-Meier analysis was calculated, investigating the influence of humeral implant position compared to survival time. Complications were noted. Results The ROM (p < 0.001), CS-Score (p < 0.001) and DASH-Score (p < 0.001) showed significant improvements after surgery for the entire series. The COR restoration was anatomical in 75 % (n = 60) of all implants and in 25 % (n = 20) non-anatomical (pre- and postoperative COR deviation of 2.7 ± 1.8 mm vs. 5.1 ± 3.2 mm, p = 0.0380). The humeral component position did not affect the functional outcome whereas the ten-year unadjusted cumulative survival rate for the anatomic group was significant higher in comparison with the non-anatomical group (96.7 % vs. 75 %, p = 0.002). The radiological evaluation revealed minor periprosthetic bone adaptions in various forms without clinical significance or further intervention. No revision was necessary due to a failed fixation of the stemless humeral component. Conclusions Regarding primary OA of the shoulder, STSA derives excellent long-term survival and clinical outcome. These types of implants are able to restore the geometry of the humeral head. Non-anatomical reconstruction may influence the survival over a long-term period on different pathways. Further studies are necessary to elucidate the effect of humeral component position in STSA on functionality, pain and implant survival rate.

Abstract:Purpose: Our purpose was to quantify stresses in the bone surrounding stemless implants in various configurations. Methods: A detailed finite element model of the glenohumeral joint was used to simulate abduction kinematics before and after arthroplasty and to measure bone stresses around the implants. Two digital patients were simulated: one healthy and one with supraspinatus muscle impairment (deficiency). Two anatomic total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) configurations were placed in a 135° cutting plane. Two reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) configurations with cutting angles of 135° and 145° were simulated with asymmetrical and symmetrical polyethylene cups, respectively, to obtain humeral neck-shaft angles of 145°. Results: Compared with preoperative models, TSA preserved and RSA restored abduction kinematics. The bone mechanical stresses were located mainly around the central stud of the TSA and were more peripheral to the RSA humeral components. The RSA configuration with the 145° cutting angle and symmetrical cup generated the lowest maximal bone stress and bone volume involvement. Stresses in the scapular cortical bone were highest in the supraspinatus fossa for TSA and the crest of the acromion for RSA. Conclusion: Early stability and glenohumeral bone stress change with implant configuration and should not be extrapolated from anatomic clinical data to reverse configurations. Abstract:BACKGROUND: The utilization of short humeral stems in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) has gained attention in recent times. However, concerns regarding the risk of misalignment during implant insertion are associated with their use.METHODS: Eight fresh-frozen cadaveric shoulders were prepared for dissection and biomechanical testing. A bespoke humeral implant was fabricated to facilitate assessment of neutral, varus, and valgus alignments using a single stem, and 10° was established as the maximum permissible angle for misalignments. Shift in humerus position and changes in deltoid length attributable to misalignments relative to the neutral position were evaluated using a Microscribe 3DLx system. The impingement-free range of motion (IFROM), encompassing abduction, adduction, internal rotation (IR), and external rotation (ER), was gauged using a digital goniometer. The capacity for abduction was evaluated at maximal abduction angles under successive loading on the middle deltoid. A specialized traction system coupled with a force transducer was employed to measure anterior dislocation forces.RESULTS: Relative to the neutral alignment, valgus alignment resulted in a more distal (10.5 ± 2.4 mm) and medial (8.3 ± 2.2 mm) translation of the humeral component, whereas the varus alignment resulted in the humerus shifting more superiorly (11.2 ± 1.3 mm) and laterally (9.9 ± 0.9 mm) at 0° abduction. The valgus alignment exhibited the highest abduction angle than neutral alignment (86.2°, P<0.001). Conversely, the varus alignment demonstrated significantly higher adduction (18.4±7.4°, P<0.001), IR (68.9±15.0°, P=0.014), and ER (45.2±10.5°, P=0.002) at 0° abduction compared to the neutral alignments. Anterior dislocation forces were considerably lower (23.8N) in the varus group compared to the neutral group at 0°ER (P=0.047). Additionally, abduction capability was markedly higher in varus alignment at low deltoid loads than the neutral alignment (5N, P=0.009; 7.5N, P=0.007).CONCLUSIONS: The varus position enhances rotational ROM but increases instability, while the valgus position does not significantly impact ROM or instability compared to the neutral position.

Abstract:INTRODUCTION The measurement of transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcpO2) is a non-invasive method to quantify skin oxygenation at capillary level and their nutritive ability needed to heal the ischemic defect. TcpO2 pressure values below 30 mm Hg are specific for critical limb ischemia and predict complicated healing. The purpose of this study was to verify the cut-off pressure in patient unable to undergo vascular reconstruction, and to verify the possibility of using this method to evaluate the effectiveness of vascular reconstructive surgery. METHODS The group included 52 patients (35 men and 17 women). The mean age of patients in the group was 66.5 years (max. 85, min. 44). RESULTS In our group of patients we confirmed that the TcpO2 values of successfully healed ischemic wounds were equal or greater than 30 mm Hg (mean TcpO2 value at the dorsum of the foot was 37.0 mm Hg ± 9.5 mm Hg), compared to the group of unsuccessfully healed patients whose values were lower (mean TcpO2 value at the dorsum of the foot was 9.0 mm Hg ± 5.3 mm Hg). CONCLUSION TcpO2 is a suitable method in predicting the healing of ischemic defects and any possible need for surgical or endovascular revascularization. Thanks to its non-invasive nature and undemanding measurement, it surely helps to make better decisions in choosing the therapeutic procedure needed to heal the defect.
The risk of postoperative scapular spine fracture following reverse shoulder arthroplasty is increased with an onlay humeral stem

Abstract:Background: The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of lateralization and distalization on scapular spine fracture (SSF) after reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA). The hypothesis was that postoperative distalization would increase the risk of SSF, whereas lateralization would not. Methods: A multicenter retrospective review was performed at a minimum of 1 year postoperatively on primary RSAs with 3 different implants, 2 with an inlay design (n = 342) and 1 with an onlay design (n = 84). Functional outcome, range of motion, stem design, and radiographic measurements, including acromiohumeral distance and lateralization, were compared between groups with and without fracture. Results: The incidence of SSF in the onlay group (11.9%) was significantly higher compared with the inlay group (4.7%; P = .043). Postoperative acromiohumeral distance was approximately 4 mm higher in the SSF group (37.5 mm) compared with the control group (33.7 mm; P = .042), whereas lateralization was similar between the 2 groups (52.8 mm vs. 53.9 mm; P = .362). Higher return to activity (92.1% vs. 71.4%; P < .001) as well as postoperative forward flexion was observed in the group without fracture (135° vs. 120°; P = .009). Conclusion: Increased postoperative distalization is associated with an increased risk of SSF after RSA. An onlay stem resulted in a 10 mm increase in distalization compared with an inlay stem, and a 2.5 times increased risk of SSF. Lateralization, however, does not appear to increase the risk of SSF.

Abstract:Background Optimal glenosphere positioning in reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) remains highly debated. We aimed to characterize the association between the prosthesis scapular neck angle (PSNA) and postoperative range of motion (ROM) and clinical outcome scores. Methods A retrospective review of 284 RSAs using a single design with minimum 2-year follow-up was performed. Glenosphere tilt was measured postoperatively using PSNA. ROM and functional outcome scores were assessed preoperatively and at latest follow-up. The PSNA was dichotomized to inferior or superior groups (>90° vs ≤ 90°, respectively) and stratified into quartiles; ROM and outcome score measures were compared between groups controlling for inferior glenosphere overhang. Results No range of PSNA was consistently associated with superior ROM, clinical outcome scores, or rates of complications including scapular notching. However, greater preoperative to postoperative improvement in active FE was found for superiorly (PSNA ≤ 90°) versus inferiorly tilted glenospheres (37° ± 33° vs 53° ± 35°, P = 0.005) and the greater improvement in active FE (57° ± 35°, P = 0.004) was further isolated to the first quartile (mean 85.1° ± 3.5°). Discussion A lack of variation in clinical outcomes based on PSNA suggests negligible short-term (median follow-up 3.1 years) clinical significance when glenosphere tilt falls within the distribution of this cohort (mean 92.6° ± 6.2°).

Abstract:BackgroundRadiostereometry (RSA) measurements of early micromotion can predict later failure in hip and knee prostheses. In hip implants, RSA has been particularly helpful in the evaluation of composite-beam stem designs. The Spectron EF Primary stem (Smith & Nephew, London, UK) has shown inferior performance compared with its predecessors in both clinical studies and registry reports. Early RSA studies have shown somewhat greater subsidence for the Spectron EF Primary stem compared with the earlier Spectron EF, but still within boundaries considered to be safe.Questions/purposesOur primary research question was whether stem subsidence and rotation for this stem design measured with RSA at 2 years can predict later stem failure. A secondary question was whether high femoral stem offset and small stem sizes, both features specific to the Spectron EF Primary stem compared with its predecessors, are associated with stem failure rate.MethodsTwo hundred forty-seven hips (209 patients with median age 63 years [range, 29–80 years], 65% female, and 77% primary osteoarthritis) with a valid RSA examination at 2 years were selected from four different RSA studies (totaling 279 hips in 236 patients) in our department. The studies were primarily aimed at evaluating cup fixation, bone cement, and polyethylene types. All study patients received a cemented Spectron EF Primary stem. The selected hips had complete followup until stem failure, death, or the end of the followup period. Stem failure was defined as revision of a loose femoral stem or radiological failure with significant osteolysis in Gruen zones 2 to 6. Cox regression analyses were performed to evaluate if stem subsidence and rotation after 2 years, adjusted for age, sex, stem size, standard/high stem offset, and conventional/highly crosslinked polyethylene, could predict later clinical aseptic failure of the stem. We identified 32 stem failures (27 revisions, five radiological failures) at 14 years median followup (range, 3–18 years). Ten-year stem survival was 94% (95% confidence interval [CI], 90%–96%).ResultsStem subsidence at 2 years (adjusted hazard ratio [HR], 6.0; 95% CI, 2.5–15; p < 0.001) and retrotorsion of the stem (adjusted HR, 1.7; 95% CI, 1.1–2.5; p = 0.018) were associated with later stem failure. Further risk factors were male sex (subsidence analysis HR, 6.9; p > 0.001), use of the two smallest stem sizes (HRsize 1, 8.0; p > 0.001, HRsize 2, 1 [reference], HRsize 3+, 0.06; p = 0.035), and the high offset option (HR, 3.1; p = 0.005).ConclusionsStem subsidence and retrotorsion at 2 years can predict later failure in the Spectron EF Primary stem, consistent with earlier findings on composite-beam cemented stems. Small stem size and high-offset stems comprise the main group of underperforming stems. We recommend that premarket small-scale RSA studies be performed after any design change to a THA femoral component, because even seemingly minor design changes may unexpectedly result in inferior performance.Level of EvidenceLevel III, therapeutic study.

Comparison of Short Uncemented Metaphyseal Stem and Long-Stem Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty in Proximal Humerus Fractures: Preliminary Study at 2-Year Follow-Up

Abstract:Introduction: In the last few years, short metaphyseal-socket prosthetic humeral stems have been introduced for reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA). A short stem may have advantages in humeral force distribution, reducing shear stress and preserving bone stock, keeping in mind the need for possible future revision surgery. The main objective of our study was to validate the use of a short stem prosthesis in the surgical treatment of humeral fractures by comparing clinical and radiological outcomes of our studied implant with those obtained with the use of traditional long-stem implants. Methods: In this multicentric, controlled prospective study, 125 patients with proximal three- or four-fragment humerus fractures were selected and treated with RSA. A short stem was used in group A (n = 53, mean age: 75.6 ± 5.6 years old), and a long stem was used in group B (n = 72, mean age: 71.76 ± 3). Active range of motion (ROM), Constant score (CS), Quick DASH, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Shoulder (ASES) score, and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) scores were collected and analyzed at 2 years mean follow-up, as well as humeral and glenoid bone resorption (sum Inoue scores and Sirveaux scores were used). Results: No statistically significant differences were observed between group A and B in ROM, Constant score (51.69 ± 15.8 vs. 53.46 ± 15.96, p > 0.05), Quick DASH (31.5 ± 21.81 vs. 28.79 ± 13.72, p = 0.85), ASES (82.53 ± 17.79 vs. 84.34 ± 15.24, p = 0.57), or the VAS (0.53 ± 1 vs. 0.56 ± 1.07, p = 0.14) at the final follow-up. No statistically significant differences were found in the radiographic parameters between the two groups. No statistically significant differences were found for the average degree of humeral and glenoid bone resorption either. Conclusions: The use of a short metaphyseal-socket stem can be considered a safe, effective, and feasible option in reverse shoulder arthroplasty for treating proximal humerus fractures. Our results are encouraging, with no statistically significant differences identified between the proposed treatment and traditional long stems.
Pediatric Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire (PQ-LES-Q): reliability and validity.

Abstract:OBJECTIVE The pediatric version of the Short Form of the Quality of Life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire (PQ-LES-Q) was developed to aid in the assessment of an important aspect of life experience in children and adolescents. METHOD The reliability and validity of the PQ-LES-Q was tested using data from a sample of 376 outpatient children (6-11 years old) and adolescents (12-17 years old) with major depressive disorder. RESULTS The internal consistency coefficients at screening, baseline, and endpoint were high (0.87, 0.90, 0.89, respectively) as was the 1-week test-retest intraclass correlation coefficient of reliability (0.78). The correlations of the PQ-LES-Q total score with concurrent measures of severity of illness were in the moderate range (e.g., Global Clinical Impression of Severity, -0.40; Children's Global Assessment Scale, 0.36; Children's Depression Rating Scale total score, -0.45), as were the correlations with measures of change between baseline and endpoint (e.g., Clinical Global Impression of Severity, -0.34; Children's Global Assessment Scale, 0.33; Children's Depression Rating Scale total score, -0.45). CONCLUSIONS These findings support the use of the PQ-LES-Q as an additional measure of current clinical status and outcome because it taps dimensions that are not covered by the commonly used global severity of illness or symptomatic measures.
Impact of humeral and glenoid component variations on range of motion in reverse geometry total shoulder arthroplasty: a standardized computer model study

Abstract:Background: Multiple modifications of reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RTSA) since the first Grammont design have developed to improve range of motion (ROM) and avoid notching. The effect of these changes in shoulder kinematics and the best compromise for ROM is still under debate. This computer simulation study evaluates the influence of humeral design, humeral neck-shaft angle (NSA), glenoid lateralization, and glenoid eccentricity on ROM of RTSA. Methods: We created a 3-dimensional computer model from computed tomography scans of 13 patients with primary osteoarthritis simulating implantation of a standardized reverse shoulder arthroplasty. We analyzed the effect of 4 different variables on impingement-free ROM: humeral design (inlay vs. semi-inlay vs. onlay), humeral NSA (135° vs. 145° vs. 155°), glenoid lateralization, and glenoid eccentricity on ROM. Results: The use of different humeral stem designs did not have a significant effect on total global ROM. Reducing NSA demonstrated a significant increase in adduction, and external and internal rotation in adduction, whereas a decrease in abduction and external rotation in abduction. Glenosphere lateralization was the most effective method for increasing total global ROM (P < .0001); however, extreme lateralization (+12 mm) did not show significant benefit compared with moderate lateralization (+4 mm). Glenosphere eccentricity increased only adduction and internal rotation in adduction. Conclusion: Only glenoid lateralization has a significant effect on increasing total global ROM in RTSA. The use of the semi-inlay 145° model combined with 4 mm lateralization and 2 mm inferior eccentricity represents the middle ground and the most universal approach in RTSA.

Abstract:Background: This study aimed to investigate the influence of curved short stem alignment within the proximal humerus on the clinical outcomes of reverse shoulder arthroplasty. We hypothesized that the varus/valgus alignment would yield clinical outcomes comparable to those of a neutral alignment. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 167 patients who underwent reverse shoulder arthroplasty using the Aequalis Ascend Flex implant between January 2017 and December 2021. The study categorized the patients into 3 groups based on the angle difference between the humeral axis and the stem axis: neutral group (GN, defined as within ±5°), valgus group (GL), and varus group (GR). Functional outcomes were assessed using the visual analog scale pain score, subjective shoulder value, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons score, University of California Los Angeles shoulder score, and active range of motion. Routine radiographic evaluations were also conducted to assess the filling ratio and bone resorption. Results: Among 138 patients, 89 were in the GN group, 37 (27%) in the GL group, and 12 (9%) in the GR group. The average degree of varus alignment was 6 (range from 5 to 7°), while the average degree of valgus alignment was -7 (range from -8 to -5°). According to our findings, the clinical outcomes did not exhibit significant differences among the 3 groups. Furthermore, the radiologic outcomes showed no significant differences among the 3 groups. Conclusions: Compared to neutral alignment, varus or valgus alignment of the humeral stem in reverse shoulder arthroplasty using a curved short stem does not significantly affect clinical outcomes.

Abstract:Background Glenoid-sided lateralization in reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) decreases bony impingement and improves rotational range of motion, but has been theorized to increase the risk of acromial or scapular spine fractures (ASF). The purpose of this study was to assess the if glenoid-sided lateralization even up to 8 mm increases risk for stress fracture following RSA with a 135° inlay humeral component. Methods A retrospective review was performed from a multicenter prospectively collected database on patients who underwent primary RSA from 2015-2021. All RSAs were performed with a 135° inlay humeral component. Varying amounts of glenoid lateralization were used from 0 to 8 mm. Preoperative radiographs were reviewed for the presence of acromial thinning, acromiohumeral distance (AHD), and inclination. Postoperative implant position (distalization, lateralization, and inclination) as well as the presence of ASF were evaluated on minimum 1-year postoperative radiographs. Regression analyses was performed on component and clinical variables to assess for factors predictive of ASF. Results Acromial or scapular spine fractures were identified in 26 out of 470 shoulders (5.5%). Glenoid-sided lateralization was not associated with ASF risk ( p = 0. 890). Furthermore, the incidence of fracture did not vary based on glenoid-sided lateralization (0-2mm - 7.4%, 4mm - 5.6%, 6mm - 4.4%, 8mm - 6.0%; p > .05 for all comparisons ). RSA on the dominant extremity was predictive of fracture (OR 2.21, 95% CI 1.20-5.75 p = 0.037 ), but there was no relationship between patient age, sex, preoperative acromial thinning, or diagnosis and risk of fracture. While there was no difference in mean postoperative AHD between groups ( p = .443) , the pre- to postoperative delta AHD was higher in the stress fracture group (2.0 ± 0.7 cm vs. 1.7 ± 0.7 cm; p = 0.015) . For every centimeter increase in delta AHD, there was a 121% increased risk for fracture (OR 2.21, 95% CI 1.33-3.68; p = 0.012) Additionally, for 1 mm increase in inferior glenosphere overhang, there was a 19% increase in fracture risk ( p = 0.025) . Conclusion Up to 8 mm of glenoid-sided metallic lateralization does not appear to increase the risk of ASF when combined with a 135° inlay humeral implant. Humeral distalization increases the risk of ASF, particularly when there is a larger change between pre- and postoperative AHD or higher inferior glenosphere overhang. In cases of pronounced preoperative superior humeral migration, it may be a consideration to avoid excessive postoperative distalization, but minimizing bony impingement via glenoid-sided lateralization appears to be safe.

Abstract:Background Optimal glenosphere positioning in a lateralized reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) to maximize functional outcomes has yet to be clearly defined. Center of rotation (COR) measurements have largely relied on AP radiographs which allow assessment of lateralization and inferior position, but ignore scapular Y radiographs which may provide an assessment of posterior and inferior position relative to the acromion. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the COR in the sagittal plane and assess the effect of glenosphere positioning with functional outcomes utilizing a 135° inlay stem with a lateralized glenoid. Methods A retrospective review was performed on a prospectively maintained multicenter database on patients who underwent primary RSA from 2015-2021 with a 135° inlay stem. The COR was measured on minimum 2-year postoperative sagittal plain radiographs using a perfect-circle fit method. A perfect circle was made on the glenosphere and the center was marked. From there, four measurements were made: 1) center to the inner cortex of the coracoid, 2) center to the inner cortex of the anterior acromion, 3) center to the inner cortex of the middle acromion, 4) center to the inner cortex of the posterior acromion. Regression analysis was performed to evaluate any association between the position of the COR relative to bony landmarks with functional outcomes. Results A total of 136 RSAs met the study criteria. There was no relation with any of the distances with outcome scores (ASES, VAS). In regards to range of motion (ROM), each distance had an effect on at least one parameter. The COR to coracoid distance had the broadest association with ROM with improvements in forward flexion (FF), external rotation (ER0), and internal rotation with arm at 90° (IR90) ( p = <0.001, 0.031, <0.001; respectively). The COR to coracoid distance was also the only distance to affect the final FF and IR90. For every 1 mm increase in this distance, there was a 1.8° increase in FF and 1.5° increase in IR90 (ß = 1.78; 95% CI 0.85 – 2.72, p = <0.001, ß = 1.53; 95% CI 0.65 – 2.41, p = <0.001; respectively). Conclusion Evaluating the COR following RSA in the sagittal plane suggests that posteroinferior glenosphere position may improve ROM when using a 135° inlay humeral component and a lateralized glenoid.
