Abstract:For the sequence of ρ˜-mixing identically distributed random variables, we show two general strong laws of large numbers (SLLNs) in which the coefficient of sum and the weight are both general functions, and as a consequence we obtain the Marcinkiewicz SLLN. Finally, we get a Chung type SLLN for ρ˜-mixing random variables.

Abstract:We establish strong invariance principles for sums of stationary ρ-mixing random variables with finite and infinite second moments under weaker mixing rates.Some earlier results are improved.As applications,some results of the law of the iterated logarithm with finite and infinite variance are obtained,also a conjecture raised by Shao in 1993 is solved.

Abstract:In this paper we obtain two inequalities of the maximum of partial sums of an Lq-mixingale array, and as corollary a strong law of large numbers (SLLN) for an Lq-mixingale sequence is shown by using the moment inequality. Finally, we prove a weak law of large numbers (WLLN) for an Lq-mixingale array without the condition of uniform integrability which is needed in Andrews [Andrews, D.W.K., 1988. Abstract:In this paper we obtain weak laws of large numbers (WLLNs) for arrays of random variables under the uniform Cesàro-type condition. As corollary, we obtain the result of Hong and Oh [Hong, D. H., Oh, K. S., 1995. On the weak law of large numbers for arrays. Statist. Probab. Lett. 22, 55–57]. Furthermore, we obtain a WLLN for an Lp-mixingale array without the conditions that the mixingale is uniformly integrable and the Lp-mixingale numbers decay to zero at a special rate.

Abstract:Given a sequence of mixing random variables {X, X (n) ; n >= 1} taking values in a separable Banach space B, and S (n) denoting the partial sum, a general law of the iterated logarithm is established, that is, we have with probability one, lim sup (n ->infinity) parallel to S (n parallel to)/c (n) = alpha (0) < infinity for a regular normalizing sequence {c (n) }, where alpha (0) is a precise value.

Let S n = Σ k =1 n X k and a n = O (√ n /(log 2 n ) γ ) for some γ > 1/2. We prove that lim_ε↘√(2)√(ε ^2 - 2)∑_n = 3^∞1/nP(|S_n | ⩾ε√(ES_n^2 log_2 n) + a_n ) = √(2) . . The results of Gut and Spătaru (2000) are special cases of ours.

Abstract:In this paper, a notion of negative side ϱ-mixing (ϱ −-mixing) which can be regarded as asymptotic negative association is defined, and some Rosenthal type inequalities for ϱ −-mixing random fields are established. The complete convergence and almost sure summability on the convergence rates with respect to the strong law of large numbers are also discussed for ϱ −-mixing random fields. The results obtained extend those for negatively associated sequences and ϱ * random fields.

Abstract:In this paper, by establishing a Borel–Cantelli lemma for a capacity which is not necessarily continuous, and a link between a sequence of independent random variables under the sub-linear expectation and a sequence of independent random variables on ℝ∞ under a probability, we give the sufficient and necessary conditions of the strong law of large numbers for independent and identically distributed random variables under the sub-linear expectation, and the sufficient and necessary conditions for the convergence of an infinite series of independent random variables, without the assumption on the continuity of the capacities. A purely probabilistic proof of a weak law of large numbers is also given.

Abstract:The sub-linear expectation space is a nonlinear expectation space having advantages of modeling the uncertainty of probability and distribution. In the sub-linear expectation space, we use capacity and sub-linear expectation to replace probability and expectation of classical probability theory. In this paper, the method of selecting subsequence is used to prove Marcinkiewicz’s strong law of large numbers under sub-linear expectation space. This result is a natural extension of the classical Marcinkiewicz’s strong law of large numbers to the case where the expectation is nonlinear. In addition, this paper also gives a theorem about convergence of a random series.
