Abstract:This paper is devoted to the study of the relative Lipschitz saturation of complex algebraic varieties. More precisely, we investigate the concept of Lipschitz saturation of a variety in another, and we focus on the case where the dominant morphism between the two varieties is not necessarily finite. In particular, we answer, in the case of algebraic varieties, an open question of Pham and Teissier concerning the finiteness of the Lipschitz saturation of general algebras. Finally, we use the Lipschitz saturation to provide algebraic criteria for two algebraic varieties to be linked by an algebraic morphism, which is a locally biLipschitz homeomorphism on the closed points of the variety.

Abstract:In this paper, we pursue three aims. The first one is to apply Amitsur's relations and radicals theory to the study of the lattices of closed two-sided ideals of C*-algebras A . We show that many new and many well-known results about C*-algebras follow naturally from this approach. Abstract:Let $\mfp(d)$ be a standard parabolic subalgebra of $\mfsl_{n+1}(K)$ and $\mfu$ be the corresponding nilradical defined over an algebraically closed field $K$ of characteristic $p>0$. We construct a finite connected quiver $Q(d)$, through which we provide a combinatorial characterization of the centralizer $c_{\mfu}(x(d))$ of the Richardson element $x(d)$. We specifically focus on the centralizer when the levi factor of $\mfp(d)$ is determined by either one or two simple roots. This allows us to demonstrate that, under certain mild restrictions, the saturation rank of $\mfu$ equals the semisimple rank of the algebraic $K$-group $\SL_{n+1}(K)$.

Abstract:Over the past 50 years, Nelson algebras have been extensively studied by distinguished scholars as the algebraic counterpart of Nelson's constructive logic with strong negation. Despite these studies, a comprehensive survey of the topic is currently lacking, and the theory of Nelson algebras remains largely unknown to most logicians. This paper aims to fill this gap by focussing on the essential developments in the field over the past two decades. Additionally, we explore generalisations of Nelson algebras, such as N4-lattices which correspond to the paraconsistent version of Nelson's logic, as well as their applications to other areas of interest to logicians, such as duality and rough set theory. A general representation theorem states that each Nelson algebra is isomorphic to a subalgebra of a rough set-based Nelson algebra induced by a quasiorder. Furthermore, a formula is a theorem of Nelson logic if and only if it is valid in every finite Nelson algebra induced by a quasiorder.

Abstract:We present here basic results in Lipschitz Geometry of semialgebraic surface germs. Although bi-Lipschitz classification problem of surface germs with respect to the inner metric was solved long ago, classification with respect to the outer metric remains an open problem. We review recent results related to the outer and ambient bi-Lipschitz classification of surface germs. In particular, we explain why the outer Lipschitz classification is much harder than the inner classification, and why the ambient Lipschitz Geometry of surface germs is very different from their outer Lipschitz Geometry. In particular, we show that the ambient Lipschitz Geometry of surface germs includes all of the Knot Theory.

Our axiomatization is based on a relation algebraic version of Tarski's axioms of the real numbers. It was already shown that the addition of such an object forms a dense, linear ordered abelian group. In the current paper we will focus on the least-upper-bound property of such an object.

Abstract:We begin the study of Lipschitz saturation for germs of toric singularities. By looking at their associated analytic algebras, we prove that if (X,0) is a germ of toric singularity with smooth normalization then its Lipschitz saturation is again toric. Finally we show how to calculate the Lipschitz saturation for some families of toric singularities starting from the semigroup that defines them.

We prove that the Lusternik-Schnirelmann category of a relative Sullivan algebra is finite if such invariants of the base algebra and fiber algebra are both finite. Furthermore, we provide a similar estimation for the Toomer invariant.

Abstract:Suppose $\Lambda$ is a special biserial algebra over an algebraically closed field. Schröer showed that if $\Lambda$ is domestic then the radical of the category of finitely generated (left) $\Lambda$-modules is nilpotent, and the least ordinal, denoted $\mathrm{st}(\Lambda)$, where the decreasing sequence of powers of the radical stabilizes satisfies $\mathrm{st}(\Lambda)<\omega^2$. With Gupta and Sardar, the third author conjectured that if $\Lambda$ has at least one band then $\omega\le\mathrm{st}(\Lambda)<\omega^2$ even when $\Lambda$ is non-domestic. In this paper we settle this conjecture in the affirmative. We also describe an algorithm to compute $\mathrm{st}(\Lambda)$ up to a finite error. We also show that for each $\omega\leq\alpha<\omega^2$ there is a finite-dimensional tame representation type algebra $\Gamma$ with $\mathrm{st}(\Gamma)=\alpha$.

Koszul Lie algebras and their subalgebras

Abstract:This paper examines (restricted) Koszul Lie algebras, a class of positively graded Lie algebras with a quadratic presentation and specific cohomological properties. The study employs HNN-extensions as a key tool for decomposing and analysing these algebras. Building on a previous work on Koszul Lie algebras ("Kurosh theorem for certain Koszul Lie algebras", S. Blumer), this paper also deals with Bloch-Kato Lie algebras, which constitute a distinguished subclass of that of Koszul Lie algebras where all subalgebras generated by elements of degree $1$ have a quadratic presentation. It is shown that Bloch-Kato Lie algebras satisfy a version of the Levi decomposition theorem and that they satisfy the Toral Rank Conjecture. Two new families of such Lie algebras are introduced, including all graded Lie algebras generated in degree $1$ and defined by two quadratic relations. Throughout the paper, we show many properties of right-angled Artin graded (RAAG) Lie algebras, which form a large class of Koszul Lie algebras.
