Abstract:In this paper, we classify all simple Harish-Chandra modules over the super affine-Virasoro algebra $\widehat{\mathcal{L}}=\mathcal{W}\ltimes(\mathfrak{g}\otimes \mathcal{A})\oplus \mathbb{C}C$, where $\mathcal{A}=\mathbb{C}[t^{\pm 1}]\otimes\Lambda(1)$ is the tensor superalgebra of the Laurent polynomial algebra in even variable $t$ and the Grassmann algebra in odd variable $\xi$, $\mathcal{W}$ is the Lie superalgebra of superderivations of $\mathcal{A}$, and $\mathfrak{g}$ is a finite-dimensional perfect Lie superalgebra.

Abstract:We obtain a classification of simple modules with finite weight multiplicities over basic classical map superalgebras. Any such module is parabolic induced from a simple cuspidal bounded module over a cuspidal map superalgebra. Further on, any simple cuspidal bounded module is isomorphic to an evaluation module. As an application, we obtain a classification of all simple Harish-Chandra modules for basic classical loop superalgebras. Extending these results to affine Kac-Moody Lie superalgebras obtained by adding the degree derivation, we construct a family of bounded simple modules of level zero, and conjecture that all bounded simple cuspidal modules belong to this family. Finally, we show that for affine Kac-Moody Lie superalgebras of type I the Kac induction functor reduces the classification of all simple bounded modules to the classification of the same class of modules over the even part, whose classification is claimed by Dimitrov and Grantcharov.

Abstract:In this article, classification of all irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over (W) over tilde(alpha, beta) (the universal central extension of W(alpha, beta)) for a(i) = 0, b(i) not equal 1, i = 1, 2 is given. In addition, classification of irreducible weight modules with a finite dimensional weight space over (W) over tilde(alpha, beta) for a(i) = 0, -1 <= b(i) not equal 1 if b(i) is an element of Z, i = 1, 2 is also obtained. Finally, we study the irreducibility of Verma modules over a subalgebra of (W) over tilde(alpha, beta). .

Abstract:We find that a compatible graded left-symmetric algebra structure on the Witt algebra induces an indecomposable module of the Witt algebra with 1-dimensional weight spaces by its left multiplication operators. From the classification of such modules of the Witt algebra, the compatible graded left-symmetric algebra structures on the Witt algebra are classified. All of them are simple and they include the examples given by Chapoton and Kupershmidt. Furthermore, we classify the central extensions of these graded left-symmetric algebras which give the compatible graded left-symmetric algebra structures on the Virasoro algebra. They coincide with the examples given by Kupershmidt.

Abstract:In this paper, we classify simple smooth modules over the mirror Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra , and simple smooth modules over the twisted Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra with non-zero level. To this end we generalize Sugawara operators to smooth modules over the Heisenberg algebra, and develop new techniques. As applications, we characterize simple Whittaker modules and simple highest weight modules over . A vertex-algebraic interpretation of our result is the classification of simple weak twisted and untwisted modules over the Heisenberg–Virasoro vertex algebras. We also present a few examples of simple smooth -modules and -modules induced from simple modules over finite dimensional solvable Lie algebras, that are not tensor product modules of Virasoro modules and Heisenberg modules. This is very different from the case of simple highest weight modules over and which are always tensor products of simple Virasoro modules and simple Heisenberg modules.

Abstract:In this paper, we completely classify the irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over the full toroidal Lie algebra, which is a natural higher-dimensional analogue of the affine-Virasoro algebra. As a by-product, we also obtain the classification of all possible irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over the higher-dimensional Virasoro algebra, which was introduced by Rao--Moody [Comm. Math. Phys. 1994] These directly generalize the well-known result of O. Mathieu [Invent. Math. 1992] for the classical Virasoro algebra and also the recent work of Billig-Futorny [J. Reine Angew. Math. 2016] for the higher rank Witt algebra. In particular, we show that any irreducible Harish-Chandra module over the higher-dimensional Virasoro algebra turns out to be either a quotient of a module of tensor fields on a torus or a highest weight type module up to a twist of an automorphism, as conjectured by Eswara Rao in 2004.

Abstract:We show that the support of a simple weight module over the Neveu-Schwarz algebra, which has an infinite-dimensional weight space, coincides with the weight lattice and that all non-trivial weight spaces of such module are infinite-dimensional. As a corollary we obtain that every simple weight module over the Neveu-Schwarz algebra, having a non-trivial finite-dimensional weight space, is a Harish-Chandra module (and hence is either a highest or lowest weight module, or else a module of the intermediate series). This result generalizes a theorem which was originally given on the Virasoro algebra.

Abstract:We construct a large class of simple modules for the Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra. These modules are determined by the simple modules over the finite-dimensional quotient algebras of certain natural subalgebras. The known simple modules such as the highest weight modules and Whittaker modules are included. In particular, we recover one of the main results of Billig (2003) in [3] and reobtain the simplicity of the Verma modules in a special case of Arbarello et al. (1988) in [1]. We also characterize a large subclass of these modules as simple modules with locally finite actions of elements in certain positive part.

Abstract:In Benkart and Ondrus (Represent. Theory 13 , 141–164 2009 ), Benkart and Ondrus investigated Whittaker modules for generalized Weyl algebras. Following the results of Benkart and Ondrus, we study Whittaker modules for three special kinds of generalized Weyl algebras in this note, including Rueda’s algebras, the algebras U q ( f ( K )) and U q ( f ( K , H )). In particular, we acquire the centers of the last two classes of algebras before giving an explicit description of their simple Whittaker modules.

Abstract:For any nonzero complex number q, there is a Lie algebra of Block type, denoted by B(q). In this paper, we classify the unitary Harish-Chandra modules for these algebras. We first give a description of conjugate-linear anti-involutions on B(q). Then we obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions for irreducible uniformly bounded unitary Harish-Chandra modules and irreducible unitary highest (lowest) weight Harish-Chandra modules.

Abstract:We classify all the pairs of a commutative associative algebra with an identity element and its finite-dimensional commutative locally-finite derivation subalgebra such that the commutative associative algebra is derivation-simple with respect to the derivation subalgebra over an algebraically closed field with characteristic 0. Such pairs are the fundamental ingredients for constructing generalized simple Lie algebras of Cartan type. Moreover, we determine the isomorphic classes of the generalized simple Lie algebras of Witt Type. The structure space of these algebras is given explicitly.

Abstract:In this article, a large class of simple modules over the Schrödinger–Virasoro algebra G are constructed, which include highest weight modules and Whittaker modules. These modules are determined by the simple modules over the finite-dimensional quotient algebras of some subalgebras. Moreover, we show that all simple modules of G with locally finite actions of elements in a certain positive part belong to this class of simple modules. Similarly, a large class of simple modules over the W-algebra W(2,2) are constructed.
