Abstract:We study irreducible modules for map Heisenberg-Virasoro algebras. In particular, we give a complete classification of irreducible Harish-Chandra modules for map Heisenberg-Virasoro algebras. We will also classify non-weight irreducible modules for map Heisenberg-Virasoro algebras whose restriction on the degree zero part of the universal enveloping algebra of Witt algebra is free of rank 1.

Abstract:By using methods developed in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="math/0602181" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/math/0602181">arXiv:math/0602181</a> we study the irreducibility of certain Wakimoto modules for $\widehat{sl_2}$ at the critical level. We classify all $\chi \in {\Bbb C}((z))$ such that the corresponding Wakimoto module $W_{\chi}$ is irreducible. It turns out that zeros of Schur polynomials play important rule in the classification result.

Classification of irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over full toroidal Lie algebras and higher-dimensional Virasoro algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we completely classify the irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over the full toroidal Lie algebra, which is a natural higher-dimensional analogue of the affine-Virasoro algebra. As a by-product, we also obtain the classification of all possible irreducible Harish-Chandra modules over the higher-dimensional Virasoro algebra, which was introduced by Rao--Moody [Comm. Math. Phys. 1994] These directly generalize the well-known result of O. Mathieu [Invent. Math. 1992] for the classical Virasoro algebra and also the recent work of Billig-Futorny [J. Reine Angew. Math. 2016] for the higher rank Witt algebra. In particular, we show that any irreducible Harish-Chandra module over the higher-dimensional Virasoro algebra turns out to be either a quotient of a module of tensor fields on a torus or a highest weight type module up to a twist of an automorphism, as conjectured by Eswara Rao in 2004.

Abstract:This paper builds upon J. Nilsson's classification of rank one $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-free modules by extending the analysis to modules without rank restrictions, focusing on the category $\mathfrak{A}$ of $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-finite $\mathfrak{g}$-modules. A deeper investigation of the weighting functor $\mathcal{W}$ and its left derived functors, $\mathcal{W}_*$, led to the proof that simple $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-finite modules of infinite dimension are $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-torsion free. Furthermore, it is shown that these modules are $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-free if they possess non-integral or singular central characters. It is concluded that the existence of $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-torsion-free $\mathfrak{g}$-modules is restricted to Lie algebras of types A and C. The concept of an almost-coherent family, which generalizes O. Mathieu's definition of coherent families, is introduced. It is proved that $\mathcal{W}(M)$, for a $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-torsion-free module $M$, falls within this class of weight modules. Furthermore, a notion of almost-equivalence is defined to establish a connection between irreducible semi-simple almost-coherent families and O. Mathieu's original classification. Progress is also made in classifying simple modules within the category $\mathfrak{A}^{\text{irr}}$, which consists of $\mathcal{U}(\mathfrak{h})$-finite modules $M$ with the property that $\mathcal{W}(M)$ is an irreducible almost-coherent family. A complete classification is achieved for type C, with partial classification for type A. Finally, a conjecture is presented asserting that all simple $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1)$-modules in $\mathfrak{A}^{\text{irr}}$ are isomorphic to simple subquotients of exponential tensor modules, and supporting results are proved.

Abstract:We consider the possible role that chiral orbifold conformal field theories may play in describing the edge state theories of quantum Hall systems. This is a generalization of work that already exists in the literature, where it has been shown that 1+1 chiral bosons living on a n-dimensional torus, and which couple to a U_1 gauge field, give rise to anomalous electric currents, the anomaly being related to the Hall conductivity. The well known $O(n,n;Z)$ duality group associated with such toroidal conformal field theories transforms the edge states and Hall conductivities in a way which makes interesting connections between different theories, e.g. between systems exhibiting the integer and fractional quantum Hall effect. In this paper we try to explore the extension of these constructions to the case where such bosons live on a n-dimensional orbifold. We give a general formalism for discussing the relevant quantities like the Hall conductance and their transformation under the duality groups present in orbifold compactifications. We illustrate these ideas by presenting a detailed analysis of a toy model based on the two-dimensional Z_3 orbifold. In this model we obtain new classes of filling fractions, which generally the correspond to fermionic edge states carrying fractional electric charge. We also consider the relation between orbifold edge theories and Luttinger liquids (LL's), which in the past have provided important insights into the physics of quantum Hall systems.

Non-Weight modules over affine Nappi-Witten Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we study the representation theory of affine Nappi-Witten Lie algebra $\widehat{H_4}$ corresponding to the Nappi-Witten Lie algebra $H_4$. We completely classify all Cartan-free modules of rank one for the Nappi-Witten Lie algebra $H_4$. With the help of Cartan free $H_4$ modules we classify all Cartan-free modules of rank one over affine Nappi Witten Lie algebra. We also give a necessary and sufficient condition for these modules to be irreducible. Finally as an application we classify Cartan free modules of rank one for affine-Virasoro Nappi-Witten Lie algebras.

Abstract:In this article, we study modules for twisted full toroidal lie algebras (TFTLA). We define a category of bounded modules for TFTLA and classify all the irreducible modules in that category. A class of irreducible bounded modules is explicitly constructed by Michael Lau and Yuly Billig using Vertex Operator Algebras. We show that they exhaust all the irreducible bounded modules. We prove that the top spaces of both these classes of modules are the same and hence the corresponding irreducible modules are also the same.

Abstract:Toroidal Lie algebras are $n$ variable generalizations of affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras. Full toroidal Lie algebra is the semidirect product of derived Lie algebra of toroidal Lie algebra and Witt algebra, also it can be thought of $n$-variable generalization of Affine-Virasoro algebras. Let $\tilde{\mathfrak{h}}$ be a Cartan subalgebra of a toroidal Lie algebra as well as full toroidal Lie algebra without containing the zero-degree central elements. In this paper, we classify the module structure on $U(\tilde{\mathfrak{h}})$ for all toroidal Lie algebras as well as full toroidal Lie algebras which are free $U(\tilde{\mathfrak{h}})$-modules of rank 1. These modules exist only for type $A_l (l\geq 1)$, $C_l (l\geq2)$ toroidal Lie algebras and the same is true for full toroidal Lie algebras. Also, we determined the irreducibility condition for these classes of modules for both the Lie algebras.

Abstract:In <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1811.04649" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1811.04649">arXiv:1811.04649</a>, we extended the Dong-Mason theorem on irreducibility of modules for cyclic orbifold vertex algebras to the entire category weak modules and applied this result to Whittaker modules. In this paper we present further generalizations of these results for nonabelian orbifolds of vertex operator superalgebras. Let $V$ be a vertex superalgebra with a countable dimension and let $G$ be a finite subgroup of $\mathrm{Aut}(V)$. Assume that $h\in Z(G)$ where $Z(G)$ is the center of the group $G$. For any irreducible $h$-twisted (weak) $V$-module $M$, we prove that if $M\not\cong g\circ M$ for all $g\in G$ then $M$ is also irreducible as $V^G$-module. We also apply this result to examples and give irreducibility of modules of Whittaker type for orbifolds of Neveu-Schwarz vertex superalgebras, Heisenberg vertex algebras, Virasoro vertex operator algebra and Heisenberg-Virasoro vertex algebra.

Abstract:Ulm's Theorem presents invariants that classify countable abelian torsion groups up to isomorphism. Barwise and Eklof extended this result to the classification of arbitrary abelian torsion groups up to $L_{\infty \omega}$-equivalence. In this paper, we extend this classification to a class of mixed $\mathbb{Z}_p$-modules which includes all Warfield modules and is closed under $L_{\infty\omega}$-equivalence. The defining property of these modules is the existence of what we call a partial decomposition basis, a generalization of the concept of decomposition basis. We prove a complete classification theorem in $L_{\infty\omega}$ using invariants deduced from the classical Ulm and Warfield invariants.
Tensor product weight modules over the affine-Virasoro algebra

Abstract:In this paper, we study the tensor products of irreducible highest weight modules with irreducible loop modules over the affine-Virasoro algebra with aid of the ``shifting technique" established for the Virasoro algebra in [H. Chen, X. Guo, K. Zhao, Tensor product weight modules over the Virasoro algebra, J. Lond. Math. Soc. 88(2013), 829-844.]. All such tensor product modules are indecomposable modules with infinite-dimensional weight spaces. Moreover, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for such tensor product modules to be irreducible. Therefore, we obtain a class of new irreducible weight modules over the affine-Virasoro algebra. Finally, the necessary and sufficient conditions for any two such tensor product modules to be isomorphic are also determined.

Abstract:This paper is about the highest weight module theory for affine superalgebra of and loop superalgebra . Among the main results, we obtain (i) a necessary and sufficient condition for Verma type -highest weight -modules to be irreducible; (ii) a free field(-like) realization of all irreducible -highest weight -modules; (iii) a character formula for all irreducible -highest weight -modules with finite dimensional weight spaces. We also obtain three similar results for highest weight -modules.

Refining the grading of irreducible Lie colour algebra representations

Abstract:We apply the loop module construction of <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="1504.05114" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/1504.05114">arXiv:1504.05114</a> in the context of Lie colour algebras. We construct a bijection between the equivalence classes of all finite-dimensional graded irreducible Lie colour algebra representations from the irreducible representations for Lie superalgebras. This bijection is obtained by applying the loop module construction iteratively to simple groups in the Jordan--Hölder decomposition of the grading group. Restricting to simple groups in this way greatly simplifies the construction. Despite the bijection between Lie colour algebra representations and Lie superalgebra representations, Lie colour algebras maintain a non-trivial representation theory distinct from that of Lie superalgebras. We demonstrate the applicability of the loop module construction to Lie colour algebras in two examples: a Hilbert space for a quantum mechanical model and representations of a colour version of $ \mathfrak{sl}_2 $.

Abstract:In this paper, we study irreducible non-weight modules over the mirror Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra $\mathcal{D}$, including Whittaker modules, $\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{C} d_0)$-free modules, and their tensor products. More precisely, we give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the Whittaker modules to be irreducible. We determine all $\mathcal{D}$-module structures on $\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{C} d_0)$, and find the necessary and sufficient conditions for these modules to be irreducible. At last we determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for the tensor products of Whittaker modules and $\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{C} d_0)$-free modules to be irreducible, and obtain that any two such tensor products are isomorphic if and only if the corresponding Whittaker modules and $\mathcal{U}(\mathbb{C} d_0)$-free modules are isomorphic. These lead to many new irreducible non-weight modules over $\mathcal{D}$.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a class of infinite Lie conformal algebras , which are the semi-direct sums of Block type Lie conformal algebra and its non-trivial conformal modules of -graded free intermediate series. The annihilation algebras are a class of infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, which include a lot of interesting subalgebras: Virasoro algebra, Block type Lie algebra, twisted Heisenberg–Virasoro algebra and so on. We give a complete classification of all finite non-trivial irreducible conformal modules of for . As an application, the classifications of finite irreducible conformal modules over a series of finite Lie conformal algebras for are given.

Abstract:Let $L((n-\tfrac 3 2)\Lambda_0)$, $n \in \Bbb N$, be a vertex operator algebra associated to the irreducible highest weight module $L((n-\tfrac 3 2)\Lambda_0)$ for a symplectic affine Lie algebra. We find a complete set of irreducible modules for $L((n-\tfrac 3 2)\Lambda_0)$ and show that every module for $L((n-\tfrac 3 2)\Lambda_0)$ from the category $\Cal O$ is completely reducible.

Abstract:We define a congruence module $\Psi_A(M)$ associated to a surjective $\mathcal O$-algebra morphism $\lambda\colon A \to \mathcal{O}$, with $\mathcal{O}$ a discrete valuation ring, $A$ a complete noetherian local $\mathcal{O}$-algebra regular at $\mathfrak{p}$, the kernel of $\lambda$, and $M$ a finitely generated $A$-module. We establish a numerical criterion for $M$ to have a free direct summand over $A$ of positive rank. It is in terms of the lengths of $\Psi_A(M)$ and the torsion part of $\mathfrak{p}/\mathfrak{p}^2$. It generalizes results of Wiles, Lenstra, and Diamond, that deal with the case when the codimension of $\mathfrak{p}$ is zero. Number theoretic applications include integral (non-minimal) $R=\mathbb T$ theorems in situations of positive defect conditional on certain standard conjectures. Here $R$ is a deformation ring parametrizing certain Galois representations and $\mathbb T$ is a Hecke algebra. An example is a modularity lifting for 2-dimensional $\ell$-adic Galois representations over an imaginary quadratic field. The proofs combine our commutative algebra results with a generalization due to Calegari and Geraghty of the patching method of Wiles and Taylor--Wiles and level raising arguments that go back to Ribet. The results provide new evidence in favor of the intriguing, and as yet fledgling, torsion analog of the classical Langlands correspondence. We also prove unconditional integral $R=\mathbb T$ results for Hecke algebras $\mathbb T$ acting on weight one cohomology of Shimura curves over $\mathbb Q$. This leads to a torsion Jacquet--Langlands correspondence comparing integral Hecke algebras acting on weight one cohomology of Shimura curves and modular curves. In this case the cohomology has abundant torsion and so our correspondence cannot be deduced by means of the classical Jacquet--Langlands correspondence.

Abstract:Let (H, R) be a finite dimensional semisimple and cosemisimple quasi-triangular Hopf algebra over a field k. In this paper, we give the structure of irreducible objects of the Yetter-Drinfeld module category (HYD)-Y-H. Let H-R be the Majid's transmuted braided group of (H, R), we show that H-R is cosemisimple. As a coalgebra, let H-R = D-1 circle plus ... circle plus D-r be the sum of minimal H-adjoint-stable subcoalgebras. For each i (1 <= i <= r), we choose a minimal left coideal W-i of D-i, and we can define the R-adjoint-stable algebra N-wi of W-i Using Ostrik's theorem on characterizing module categories over monoidal categories, we prove that V is an element of (HYD)-Y-H is irreducible if and only if there exists an i (1 <= i <= r) and an irreducible right N-wi-module U-i, such that V congruent to U-i circle times(Nwi) (H circle times W-i). Our structure theorem generalizes the results of DijkgraafPasquier-Roche and Gould on Yetter-Drinfeld modules over finite group algebras. If k is an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0, we stress that the R-adjoint-stable algebra N-w(i) is an algebra over which the dimension of each irreducible right module divides its dimension. Abstract:We obtain exhaustive classification of inequivalent realizations of the Witt and Virasoro algebras by Lie vector fields of differential operators in the space $\mathbb{R}^3$. Using this classification we describe all inequivalent realizations of the direct sum of the Witt algebras in $\mathbb{R}^3$. These results enable constructing all possible (1+1)-dimensional classically integrable equations that admit infinite dimensional symmetry algebra isomorphic to the Witt or the direct sum of Witt algebras. In this way the new classically integrable nonlinear PDE in one spatial dimension has been obtained. In addition, we construct a number of new nonlinear (1+1)-dimensional PDEs admitting infinite symmetries.
