Abstract:The Bogomolov multiplier of a group $G$ introduced by Bogomolov in $1988$. After that in $2012$, Moravec introduced an equivalent definition of the Bogomolov multiplier. In this paper we generalized the Bogomolov multiplier with respect to a variety of groups. Then we give some new results on this topic.

Abstract:The Bogomolov multiplier of a group is the unramified Brauer group associated to the quotient variety of a faithful representation of the group. This object is an obstruction for the quotient variety to be stably rational. The purpose of this paper is to study these multipliers associated to nilpotent pro-$p$ groups by transporting them to their associated Lie algebras. Special focus is set on the case of $p$-adic Lie groups of nilpotency class $2$, where we analyse the moduli space. This is then applied to give information on asymptotic behaviour of multipliers of finite images of such groups of exponent $p$. We show that with fixed $n$ and increasing $p$, a positive proportion of these groups of order $p^n$ have trivial multipliers. On the other hand, we show that by fixing $p$ and increasing $n$, log-generic groups of order $p^n$ have non-trivial multipliers. Whence quotient varieties of faithful representations of log-generic $p$-groups are not stably rational. Applications in non-commutative Iwasawa theory are developed.

Abstract:U. Jezernik and P. Moravec have shown that if $G$ is a finite group with a subgroup $H$ of index $n$, then nth power of the Bogomolov multiplier of $G$, $\tilde{B_0}(G)^n$ is isomorphic to a subgroup of $\tilde{B_0}(H)$. In this paper we want to prove a similar result for the center by center by $w$ variety of groups, where $w$ is any outer commutator word.

Abstract:We conduct an in-depth investigation into the structure of the Bogomolov multiplier for groups of order p 7 ( p > 2) and exponent p . We present a comprehensive classification of these groups, identifying those with nontrivial Bogomolov multipliers and distinguishing them from groups with trivial multipliers. Our analysis not only clarifies the conditions under which the Bogomolov multiplier is nontrivial but also refines existing computational methods, enhancing the process of determining these multipliers for the specified class of p -groups.

Abstract:In parallel to the classical theory of central extensions of groups, we develop a version for extensions that preserve commutativity. It is shown that the Bogomolov multiplier is a universal object parametrising such extensions of a given group. Maximal and minimal extensions are inspected, and a connection with commuting probability is explored. Such considerations produce bounds for the exponent and rank of the Bogomolov multiplier.

Abstract:We present the unoriented version of the Schur and Bogomolov multiplier associated with a finite group $G$. We show that the unoriented Schur multiplier is isomorphic to the second cohomology group $H^2(G;\mathbb{Z}_2)$. We define the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier as the quotient of the unoriented Schur multiplier by the subgroup generated by classes over the disjoint union of tori, Klein bottles, and projective spaces. Disregarding the subgroup generated by the trivial $G$-bundle over the projective space, we show that the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier is a complete obstruction. This means that a free surface action over an unoriented surface equivariantly bounds if and only if the class in the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier is trivial. We show that the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier is trivial for abelian, dihedral, and symmetric groups. Because the group cohomology $H^2(G;\mathbb{Z}_2)$ is trivial for a group of odd order, there are plenty of examples where the usual Bogomolov multiplier is not trivial while the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier is trivial. However, we show that there is a group of order $64$ where the unoriented Bogomolov multiplier is non-trivial.

Abstract:We compute the co-multiplication of the algebraic Morava K-theory for split orthogonal groups. Abstract:We describe the -invariant of a semisimple algebraic group over a generic splitting field of a Tits algebra of in terms of the -invariant over the base field. As a consequence we prove a 10-year-old conjecture of Quéguiner-Mathieu, Semenov, and Zainoulline on the -invariant of groups of type . In the case of type we also provide explicit formulas for the first component and in some cases for the second component of the -invariant.

Abstract:In this paper we prove an abstract homomorphism theorem for bilinear multipliers in the setting of locally compact Abelian (LCA) groups. We also provide some applications. In particular, we obtain a bilinear abstract version of K. de Leeuw's theorem for bilinear multipliers of strong and weak type. We also obtain necessary conditions on bilinear multipliers on non-compact LCA groups, yielding boundedness for the corresponding operators on products of rearrangement invariant spaces. Our investigations extend some existing results in Euclidean spaces to the framework of general LCA groups, and yield new boundedness results for bilinear multipliers in quasi Banach spaces.

Abstract:Let $G$ be the semidirect product $N \rtimes \mathbb{R}$, where $N$ is a stratified Lie group and $\mathbb{R}$ acts on $N$ via automorphic dilations. Homogeneous left-invariant sub-Laplacians on $N$ and $\mathbb{R}$ can be lifted to $G$, and their sum $\Delta$ is a left-invariant sub-Laplacian on $G$. In previous joint work of Ottazzi, Vallarino and the first-named author, a spectral multiplier theorem of Mihlin--Hörmander type was proved for $\Delta$, showing that an operator of the form $F(\Delta)$ is of weak type $(1,1)$ and bounded on $L^p(G)$ for all $p \in (1,\infty)$ provided $F$ satisfies a scale-invariant smoothness condition of order $s > (Q+1)/2$, where $Q$ is the homogeneous dimension of $N$. Here we show that, if $N$ is a group of Heisenberg type, or more generally a direct product of Métivier and abelian groups, then the smoothness condition can be pushed down to the sharp threshold $s>(d+1)/2$, where $d$ is the topological dimension of $N$. The proof is based on lifting to $G$ weighted Plancherel estimates on $N$ and exploits a relation between the functional calculi for $\Delta$ and analogous operators on semidirect extensions of Bessel--Kingman hypergroups.

Abstract:Let $G$ be a finite abeilian group. A sequence $S$ with terms from $G$ is zero-sum if the sum of terms in $S$ equals zero. It is a minimal zero-sum sequence if no proper, nontrivial subsequence is zero-sum. The maximal length of a minimal zero-sum subsequence in $G$ is the Davenport constant, denoted $D(G)$. For a rank 2 group $G=C_n \oplus C_n$, it is known that $D(G)=2n-1$. However, the structure of all maximal length minimal zero-sum sequences remains open. If every such sequence contains a term with multiplicity $n-1$, then $C_n \oplus C_n$ is said to have Property B, and it is conjectured that this is true for all rank 2 groups $C_n \oplus C_n$. In this paper, we show that Property B is multiplicative, namely, if $G=C_n \oplus C_n$ and $G=C_m \oplus C_m$ both satisfy Property B, with $m, n\geq 3$ odd and $mn>9$, then $C_{mn}\oplus C_{mn}$ satisfies Property B also. Combined with previous work in the literature, this reduces the question of establishing Property B to the prime cases, and in such case the complete structural description of the sequence follows.

Abstract:Ó. Blasco and S. Pott showed that the supremum of operator norms over $L^2$ of all bicommutators (with the same symbol) of one-parameter Haar multipliers dominates the biparameter dyadic product BMO norm of the symbol itself. In the present work we extend this result to the Bloom setting, and to any exponent $1<p<\infty$. The main tool is a new characterization in terms of paraproducts and two-weight John--Nirenberg inequalities for dyadic product BMO in the Bloom setting. We also extend our results to the whole scale of indexed spaces between little bmo and product BMO in the general multiparameter setting, with the appropriate iterated commutator in each case.

On Ginzburg-Kaplan gamma factors and Bessel-Speh functions for finite general linear groups

Abstract:We give a new construction of tensor product gamma factors for a pair of irreducible representations of $\operatorname{GL}_c\left(\mathbb{F}_q\right)$ and $\operatorname{GL}_k\left(\mathbb{F}_q\right)$. This construction is a finite field analog of a construction of doubling type due to Kaplan in the local field case and due to Ginzburg in the global case, and it only assumes that one of the representations in question is generic. We use this construction to establish a relation between special values of Bessel functions attached to Speh representations and exotic matrix Kloosterman sums. Using this relation, we establish various identities, including the multiplicativity identity of exotic matrix Kloosterman sums.

Abstract:We prove a polynomial Bogolyubov type lemma for the special linear group over finite fields. Specifically, we show that there exists an absolute constant $C>0,$ such that if $A$ is a density $\alpha$ subset of the special linear group, then the set $AA^{-1}AA^{-1}$ contains a subgroup $H$ of density $\alpha^C$. Moreover, this subgroup is isomorphic to a special linear group of a smaller rank. We also show that if $A$ is an approximate subgroups then it can be covered by the union of few cosets of $H$. Our proof makes use of the Gurevich--Howe notion of tensor rank, and of a strengthened Bonami type Lemma for global functions on the bilinear scheme. We also present applications to spectral bounds for global convolution operators, global product free sets, and covering numbers corresponding to global sets.
