Abstract:We prove approximation results about sequences of Berezin transforms of finite sums of finite product of Toeplitz operators (and bounded linear maps, in general) in the spirit of Ramadanov and Skwarczynski theorems that are about convergence of Bergman kernels.

Abstract:We firstly construct generalized Baskakov operators Vn,α,q(f;x) and their truncated sum Bn,α,q(f;γn,x). Secondly, we study the pointwise convergence and the uniform convergence of the operators Vn,α,q(f;x), respectively, and estimate that the rate of convergence by the operators Vn,α,q(f;x) is 1/nq/2. Finally, we study the convergence by the truncated operators Bn,α,q(f;γn,x) and state that the finite truncated sum Bn,α,q(f;γn,x) can replace the operators Vn,α,q(f;x) in the computational point of view provided that limn→∞nγn=∞.

Abstract:This work focuses on the study of approximation properties of functions by Szász type operators involving Frobenius–Euler–Simsek-type polynomials, which have become more popular recently because of their special characteristics and functional organization. The convergence properties such as uniformly convergence and pointwise convergence in terms of modulus of continuity and Peetre-$ \it K $ functional are investigated with the help of these sequences of operators in depth. This paper also includes the estimation of the error of the approximation of these sequences of operators to some particular class of functions. The estimates are depicted using the Maple scientific computing program and presented in tables.

Abstract:In this study, we construct a Stancu-type generalization of bivariate Bernstein–Kantorovich operators that reproduce exponential functions. Then, we investigate some approximation results for these operators. We use test functions to prove a Korovkin-type convergence theorem. Then, we show the rate of convergence by the modulus of continuity and give a Voronovskaya-type theorem. We give a covergence comparison about bivariate Bernstein–Kantorovich–Stancu operators and their exponential form.

Abstract:In the present manuscript, we study the approximation properties of modified Szász Kantorovich operators with a new modification of blending type which depends on parameters, and . Further, we prove a Korovkin-type approximation theorem and obtain the rate of convergence of these operators. Next, their graphical depiction, error analysis and convergence behaviour of these operators for the different functional spaces are discussed. Moreover, univariate and bivariate version of these sequences of operators are introduced in their respective blocks. Rate of convergence, order of approximation, local approximation, global approximation in terms of weight function and A -statistical approximation results are investigated via first and second-order modulus of smoothness, Lipschitz classes, Peetre's K -functional in different spaces of functions.

Abstract:The notions of Lipschitz conditions with L average are introduced to the study of convergence analysis of Gauss–Newton’s method for singular systems of equations. Unified convergence criteria ensuring the convergence of Gauss–Newton’s method for one kind of singular systems of equations with constant rank derivatives are established and unified estimates of radii of convergence balls are also obtained. Applications to some special cases such as the Kantorovich type conditions, γ-conditions and the Smale point estimate theory are provided and some important known results are extended and/or improved.

Abstract:Convergence of the differences between operator norm and spectral radius, operator norm and numerical radius, numerical radius and spectral radius, operator norm and Crawford number, operator norm and subspectral radius of complex Hilbert space operator sequences (which are uniformly convergent) has been investigated. Also, an inequality for the difference of Crawford numbers of two linear bounded operators A and B has been obtained. It is shown that c(A)-c(B)≤ω(A+eiθB)for anyθ∈R,$$\begin{aligned} \qquad \qquad \qquad \left| c(A)-c(B)\right| \le \omega (A+ e^{i\theta } B) \,\,\, \hbox { for any}\ \theta \in \mathbb {R}, \end{aligned}$$where c(·)$$c(\cdot )$$ and ω(·)$$\omega (\cdot )$$ denote the Crawford number and the numerical radius, respectively. The results have been supported by an example. Finally, some applications to operator Hölder functions and operator-functions have been given.

Abstract:In this study, we present a link between approximation theory and summability methods by constructing bivariate Bernstein-Kantorovich type operators on an extended domain with reparametrized knots. We use a statistical convergence type and power series method to obtain certain Korovkin type theorems, and we study certain rates of convergences related to these summability methods. Furthermore, we numerically analyze the theoretical results and provide some computer graphics to emphasize the importance of this study.

Abstract:In this paper, we study some properties of the parametric generalization of the Baskakov–Schurer–Szász operators using a power series summability method. We prove some results in the weighted spaces of continuous functions and the Voronovskaya type theorem. Further, we prove some results related to the statistical convergence of the parametric generalization of the Baskakov–Schurer–Szász operators using the B -transformation. At the end of the paper we give some illustrative computational examples.

Abstract:We consider the Stefan problem, firstly with regular data and secondly with irregular data. In both cases is given a proof for the convergence of an approximation obtained by regularising the problem. These proofs are based on weak formulations and on compactness results in some Sobolev spaces with negative exponents.

Abstract:In the present work, we introduce and study the notion of statistical probability convergence for sequences of random variables as well as the concept of statistical convergence for sequences of real numbers, which are defined over a Banach space via deferred weighted summability mean. We first establish a theorem presenting a connection between them. Based upon our proposed methods, we then prove a new Korovkin-type approximation theorem with periodic test functions for a sequence of random variables on a Banach space and demonstrate that our theorem effectively extends and improves most (if not all) of the previously existing results (in statistical versions). We also estimate the rate of deferred weighted statistical probability convergence and accordingly establish a new result. Finally, an illustrative example is presented here by means of the generalized Fej?r convolution operators of a sequence of random variables in order to demonstrate that our established theorem is stronger than its traditional and statistical versions.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce a general sequence of Kantorovich-type operators associated with some special polynomials and study their approximation properties. Mainly, we compute the rates of A-statistical convergence of these operators, which are observed to be stronger than that of the operators used commonly in Approximation Theory. Furthermore, we present an rth order generalization of our sequence of Kantorovich-type operators.

Abstract:We study the almost sure convergence of bilateral ergodic averages for not necessarily integrable functions and relate it to the ones of the forward and backward averages, hence complementing results of Woś and the second named author. In the case of convergence, using results of Furstenberg on double recurrence, we prove oscillations of the bilateral ergodic averages around the limit.

Abstract:Approximation and some other basic properties of various linear and nonlinear operators are potentially useful in many different areas of researches in the mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences. Motivated essentially by this aspect of approximation theory, our present study systematically investigates the approximation and other associated properties of a class of the Szász-Mirakjan-type operators, which are introduced here by using an extension of the familiar Beta function. We propose to establish moments of these extended Szász-Mirakjan Beta-type operators and estimate various convergence results with the help of the second modulus of smoothness and the classical modulus of continuity. We also investigate convergence via functions which belong to the Lipschitz class. Finally, we prove a Voronovskaja-type approximation theorem for the extended Szász-Mirakjan Beta-type operators.

Abstract:This paper studies the rates of convergence of Chernoff approximations to operator semigroups. We show that the convergence, in general, can be arbitrarily fast or arbitrarily slow. Under natural assumptions, the main result provides an upper estimate for the convergence rates. As an illustration, the result is applied to the study of Chernoff approximations for solutions of one-dimensional parabolic differential equations with variable coefficients.
