We give several upper bounds for the -Berezin number of block matrices on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space and prove inequalities for the A -Berezin number of Hilbert space operators. Our results in this paper generalize and refine earlier the A -Berezin number inequalities.

Abstract:We establish new upper bounds for Berezin number and Berezin norm of operator matrices, which are refinements of the existing bounds. Among other bounds, we prove that if $A=[A_{ij}]$ is an $n\times n$ operator matrix with $A_{ij}\in\mathbb{B}(\mathcal{H})$ for $i,j=1,2\dots n$, then $\|A\|_{ber} \leq \left\|\left[\|A_{ij}\|_{ber}\right]\right\|$ and $\textbf{ber}(A) \leq w([a_{ij}]),$ where $a_{ii}=\textbf{ber}(A_{ii}),$ $a_{ij}=\big\||A_{ij}|+|A^*_{ji}|\big\|^{\frac{1}{2}}_{ber} \big\||A_{ji}|+|A^*_{ij}|\big\|^{\frac{1}{2}}_{ber}$ if $i<j$ and $a_{ij}=0$ if $i>j$. Further, we give some examples for the Berezin number and Berezin norm estimation of operator matrices on the Hardy-Hilbert space.

Abstract:Using the error bound results established in the present paper for approximate solutions, we study the stability issues when perturbed by possibly nonaffine smooth maps E for the abstract inequality system F >=(K) 0 defined by a (possible nonclosed) convex cone K and a Frechet differentiable function F satisfying the (extended) weak gamma-condition. We provide some sufficient conditions, in terms of the information at a solution x(0), for ensuring the lower semicontinuity and/or the Lipschitz-like continuity at x(0) of the solution mapping for the perturbed system F + E >=(K) 0 with smooth perturbation E. Explicit upper bounds of the Lipschitz-like moduli are also provided.

Abstract:The Berezin-Lieb inequalities provide upper and lower bounds for a partition function based on phase space integrals that involve the Glauber-Sudarshan and Husimi representations, respectively. Generalizations of these representations have recently been introduced by the present authors, and in this article, we extend the use of these new representations to develop numerous analogs of the Berezin-Lieb inequalities that may offer improved bounds. Several examples illustrate the use of the new inequalities. Although motivated by problems in quantum mechanics, these results may also find applications in time-frequency analysis, a valuable cross fertilization that has been profitably used at various times in the past.

Abstract:We prove new inequalities for the essential generalized and the essential joint spectral radius of Hadamard (Schur) weighted geometric means of bounded sets of infinite nonnegative matrices that define operators on suitable Banach sequence spaces and of bounded sets of positive kernel operators on $L^2$. To our knowledge the obtained inequalities are new even in the case of singelton sets.

Abstract:Abstract We provide a simple, general argument to obtain improvements of concentration-type inequalities starting from improvements of their corresponding isoperimetric-type inequalities. We apply this argument to obtain robust improvements of the Brunn-Minkowski inequality (for Minkowski sums between generic sets and convex sets) and of the Gaussian concentration inequality. The former inequality is then used to obtain a robust improvement of the Riesz rearrangement inequality under certain natural conditions. These conditions are compatible with the applications to a finite-range nonlocal isoperimetric problem arising in statistical mechanics

Abstract:We prove a new type of pointwise estimate of the Kalamajska-Mazya-Shaposhnikova type, where sparse averaging operators replace the maximal operator. It allows us to extend the Gagliardo-Nirenberg interpolation inequality to all rearrangement invariant Banach function spaces without any assumptions on their upper Boyd index, i.e. omitting problems caused by unboundedness of maximal operator on spaces close to $L^1$. In particular, we remove unnecessary assumptions from the Gagliardo-Nirenberg inequality in the setting of Orlicz and Lorentz spaces. The applied method is new in this context and may be seen as a kind of sparse domination technique fitted to the context of rearrangement invariant Banach function spaces.

Abstract:We present estimates for the covering numbers of the unit ball of Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces (RKHSs) of functions on $M^d$ a d-dimensional compact two-point homogeneous space. The RKHS is generated by a continuous zonal/isotropic positive definite kernel. We employ the representation in terms of the Schoenberg/Fourier series expansion for continuous isotropic positive definite kernels, given in terms of a family of orthogonal polynomials on $M^d$. The bounds we present carry accurate information about the asymptotic constants depending on the dimension of the manifold and the decay or growth rate of the coefficients of the kernel. The results we present extend the estimates previously known for continuous isotropic positive definite kernels on the d-dimensional unit sphere. We present the weak asymptotic equivalence for the order of the growth of covering numbers associated to kernels on $M^d$ with a convergent geometric sequence of coefficients. We apply our estimates in order to present a bound for the covering numbers of the spherical Gaussian kernel, and to present bounds for formal examples on $M^d$.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to investigate inequalities that are analogous to the Minkowski and Hölder inequalities by replacing the addition and the multiplication by a more general operation, and instead of using power means, generalized Bajraktarević means are considered, in particular, Gini means. Abstract:The Berezin range of a bounded operator $T$ acting on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ is the set $B(T)$ := $\{\langle T\hat{k}_{x},\hat{k}_{x} \rangle_{\mathcal{H}} : x \in X\}$, where $\hat{k}_{x}$ is the normalized reproducing kernel for $\mathcal{H}$ at $x \in X$. In general, the Berezin range of an operator is not convex. Primarily, we focus on characterizing the convexity of the Berezin range for a class of composition operators acting on the Fock space on $\mathbb{C}$ and the Dirichlet space of the unit disc $\mathbb{D}$. We prove an analogue of the elliptic range theorem for the unitarily equivalent Berezin range of an operator on a two-dimensional reproducing kernel Hilbert space and characterize the convexity of the unitarily equivalent Berezin range for a bounded operator $T$ on a reproducing kernel Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$.

Abstract:We generalize several inequalities involving powers of the numerical radius for product of two operators acting on a Hilbert space. For any $A, B, X\in \mathbb{B}(\mathscr{H})$ such that $A,B$ are positive, we establish some numerical radius inequalities for $A^\alpha XB^\alpha$ and $A^\alpha X B^{1-\alpha}\,\,(0 \leq \alpha \leq 1)$ and Heinz means under mild conditions.

Abstract:We discuss properties of the index hypergeometric transform (it is named also the Jacobi transform or the Olevsky transform) interpolating analysis of Berezin kernels on rank 1 symmetric spaces. We discuss a unitary intertwining operator from $L^2$ on symmetric space to Berezin deformation of $L^2$. We also find images of some differential operators under the index transform.

Abstract:In this paper we investigate the boundedness of sublinear operators generated by fractional integrals as well as sublinear operators generated by Calderòn-Zygmund operators on generalized weighted Morrey spaces and generalized weighted mixed-Morrey spaces. In particular we are interested in the strong-type estimate for $1<p<\infty$ and the weak estimate for $p=1$. Under some assumptions, we prove that the operators and their commutator with a BMO function are bounded on those function spaces with different weights. The results then imply the boundedness of fractional integrals with Gaussian kernel bounds as well as with rough kernels, fractional maximal integrals with rough kernels, and sublinear operators with rough kernels generated by Calderòn-Zygmund operators. Using the results, we obtain some regularity properties of the solution of some partial differential equations.

Abstract:The starting point of this paper is the construction of a general family of positive linear operators of discrete type. Considering the sequence of iterates of one of such operators, , our goal is to find an expression of the upper edge of the error , , where is the fixed point of The estimate makes use of the error formula for the sequence of successive approximations in Banach's fixed point theorem and the error of approximation of the operator Examples of special operators are inserted. Some extensions to multidimensional approximation operators are also given.

Abstract:This paper studies the rates of convergence of Chernoff approximations to operator semigroups. We show that the convergence, in general, can be arbitrarily fast or arbitrarily slow. Under natural assumptions, the main result provides an upper estimate for the convergence rates. As an illustration, the result is applied to the study of Chernoff approximations for solutions of one-dimensional parabolic differential equations with variable coefficients.
