Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira-SpencerKuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi-Yau manifolds, and use an iteration method to construct global canonical families of holomorphic (n, 0)-forms on the deformation spaces of Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:Let p : chi -> S be a proper Kahler fibration and epsilon -> chi a Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle. As motivated by the work of Berndtsson ([Bern09]), by using basic Hodge theory, we derive several general curvature formulas for the direct image p(*) (K-chi/S circle times epsilon) for general Hermitian holomorphic vector bundle epsilon in a simple way. A straightforward application is that, if the family chi -> S is infinitesimally trivial and Hermitian vector bundle epsilon is Nakano-negative along the base S, then the direct image p(*) (K-chi/S circle times epsilon) is Nakano-negative. We also use these curvature formulas to study the moduli space of projectively flat vector bundles with positive first Chern classes and obtain that, if the Chern curvature of direct image p(*)(K-X circle times E)-of a positive projectively flat family (E, h(t))(t is an element of D) -> X-vanishes, then the curvature forms of this family are connected by holomorphic automorphisms of the pair (X, E).

Abstract: We prove the existence of global sections trivializing the Hodge bundles on the Hodge metric completion space of the Torelli space of Calabi--Yau manifolds, a global splitting property of these Hodge bundles. We also prove that a compact Calabi--Yau manifold can not be deformed to its complex conjugate. These results answer certain open questions in the subject. A general result about the period map to be bi-holomorphic from the Hodge metric completion space of the Torelli space of Calabi--Yau type manifolds to their period domains is proved and applied to the cases of K$3$ surfaces, cubic fourfolds, and hyperk\"ahler manifolds.

Abstract:We want to discuss various applications of modular forms in topology. The starting point is elliptic genus and its generalizations. The main techniques are the Atiyah-Singer index theorem, the Atiyah-Bott-Segal-Singer Lefschetz fixed point formula, Kac-Moody Lie algebras, modular forms and theta-functions. Just as the representations theory of classical Lie groups has close connections with the Atiyah-Singer index formula as exposed in [A1], the representation theory of loop groups plays very important role in our study. One of the most important new features of loop group representations is the modular invariance of the Kac-Weyl character formula, which allows us to derive many interesting new results and to unify many important old results in topology. In this paper we will develope along this line. We hope that the other features of loop group representations, such as fusion rules and tensor category structure may also be applied to topology. See the discussions in §3. The contents of this paper is organized in the following way. In §1 we introduce elliptic genus by combining index theory and the representation theory of loop groups. The relation of the classical index theory with representation theory of classical Lie groups was discussed in [A1]. Here one finds that just replacing the classical Lie groups by their corresponding loop groups, we get the complete theory of elliptic genus, or more generally the index theory on loop space. Especially the Dirac operator and the Witten genus of loop space are derived more convincingly in this way. Then all of the other well-known properties of elliptic genus, such as functional equations, characterizations by rigidity and fibrations, can be easily obtained. Here we only pick some less well-known results to discuss, for example the expressions of the parameters in elliptic genera in terms of theta-functions. Different from the classical Lie group case, a new feature in our situation appears, the modular invariance which, by combining with index theory, is applied to obtain many new topological results. This is the content of §2. Most results in this section are special cases of more general results. For simplicity we only give the main ideas of the proofs. We make some geometric constructions in §3 to understand elliptic cohomology. The construction in §3.3 is motivated by the vertex operator algebra construction of the monstrous moonshine module. Abstract:In 2015, Codesido-Grassi-Marino laid the foundation of a connection between local CY 3-folds and the spectra of operators attached to their mirror curves in the context of Topological String Theory. In a 2024 paper with C. Doran and M. Kerr, the author previously deduced two consequences of this conjecture; one relating zeroes of higher normal function to the spectra of operators of genus one curves, the other connecting integral regulators of $K_2$-classes on mirror curves to dilogarithm values at algebraic arguments. We now show that the latter continues to hold in the presence of a mass parameter, thus expanding the range of the conjecture.

Abstract:In this paper, by using the regulator map of Beilinson-Deligne on a curve, we show that the quantization condition posed by Gukov is true for the SL2(ℂ) character variety of the hyperbolic knot in S3. Furthermore, we prove that the corresponding ℂ*-valued closed 1-form is a secondary characteristic class (Chern-Simons) arising from the vanishing first Chern class of the flat line bundle over the smooth part of the character variety, where the flat line bundle is the pullback of the universal Heisenberg line bundle over ℂ* × ℂ*. Based on this result, we give a reformulation of Gukov's generalized volume conjecture from a motivic perspective.

Abstract:In this paper, we find the extended charge vectors for disc invariants of outer branes in a toric Calabi–Yau 3-orbifold, and use these extended charge vectors to establish a quantum McKay correspondence for disc invariants of branes intersecting effective outer legs, and give an enumerative explanation to the integrality of open–closed mirror map in terms of Ooguri–Vafa invariants.

Abstract:As an analog of a well-known theorem on the bilinear fractional integral on R-n by Kenig and Stein, we establish the similar boundedness property for a bilinear fractional integral on a compact Lie group. Our result is also a generalization of our recent theorem about the bilinear fractional integral on torus.

Abstract:The existence of lower dimensional KAM tori is shown for a class of nearly integrable Hamiltonian systems where the second Melnikov's conditions are relaxed, at the cost of the stronger regularity of the perturbed nonlinear term. As a consequence, it is proved that there exist many linearly stable invariant tori and thus quasi-periodic solutions for nonlinear wave equations of non-local nonlinearity and of higher spatial dimension.

Abstract:Let G be a connected real reductive group. Orbit integrals define traces on the group algebra of G. We introduce a construction of higher orbit integrals in the direction of higher cyclic cocycles on the Harish-Chandra Schwartz algebra of G. We analyze these higher orbit integrals via Fourier transform by expressing them as integrals on the tempered dual of G. We obtain explicit formulas for the pairing between the higher orbit integrals and the K-theory of the reduced group C*-algebra, and discuss their applications to representation theory and K-theory.

The integral Chow rings of moduli of Weierstrass fibrations

Abstract:We compute the Chow rings with integral coefficients of moduli stacks of minimal Weierstrass fibrations over the projective line. For each integer $N\geq 1$, there is a moduli stack $\mathcal{W}^{\mathrm{min}}_N$ parametrizing minimal Weierstrass fibrations with fundamental invariant $N$. Following work of Miranda and Park--Schmitt, we give a quotient stack presentation for each $\mathcal{W}^{\mathrm{min}}_N$. Using these presentations and equivariant intersection theory, we determine a complete set of generators and relations for each of the Chow rings. For the cases $N=1$ (respectively, $N=2$), parametrizing rational (respectively, K3) elliptic surfaces, we give a more explicit computation of the relations.

Abstract:Chen-Gounelas-Liedtke recently introduced a powerful regeneration technique, a process opposite to specialization, to prove existence results for rational curves on projective $K3$ surfaces. We show that, for projective irreducible holomorphic symplectic manifolds, an analogous regeneration principle holds and provides a very flexible tool to prove existence of uniruled divisors, significantly improving known results.

Abstract:We establish an integral formula on a smooth, precompact domain in a Kahler manifold. We apply this formula to study holomorphic extension of CR functions. Using this formula we prove an isoperimetric inequality in terms of a positive lower bound for the Hermitian curvature of the boundary. Combining with a Minkowski type formula on the complex hyperbolic space we prove that any closed, embedded hypersurface of constant mean curvature must be a geodesic sphere, provided the hypersurface is Hopf. A similar result is established on the complex projective space.

Abstract:We will formulate and prove a certain reciprocity law relating certain residues of the differential symbol dlog^2 from the K_2 of a Mumford curve to the rigid analytic regulator constructed by the author in a previous paper. We will use this result to deduce some consequences on the kernel and image of the rigid analytic regulator analogous to some old conjectures of Beilinson and Bloch on the complex analytic regulator. We also relate our construction to the symbol defined by Contou-Carrere and to Kato's residue homomorphism, and we show that Weil's reciprocity law directly implies the reciprocity law of Anderson and Romo.

Infinitesimal dilogarithm on curves over truncated polynomial rings

Abstract:Let $C$ be a smooth and projective curve over the truncated polynomial ring $k_m:=k[t]/(t^m), $ where $k$ is a field of characteristic 0. Using a candidate for the motivic cohomology group ${\rm H}^{3}_{\pazocal{M}}(C,\mathbb{Q}(3))$ based on the Bloch complex of weight 3, we construct regulators to $k$ for every $m<r<2m.$ Specializing this construction, we obtain an invariant $\rho_{m,r}(f \wedge g \wedge h)$ of rational functions $f,$ $g$ and $h$ on $C.$ The current work is a twofold generalization of our work on the infinitesimal Chow dilogarithm: we sheafify the previous construction and therefore do not restrict ourselves to triples of rational functions and we construct the regulator for any $m<r<2m,$ rather than only for $m=2.$ We also define regulators of cycles, which we expect to give a complete set of invariants for the infinitesimal part of ${\rm CH}^{2}(k_{m},3). $ This generalizes Park's work, where the additive Chow cycles, namely the case of cycles close to 0, is handled for $r=m+1.$ In this paper, we generalize the reciprocity theorem to pairs of cycles which are the same modulo $(t^m)$ and for any $m<r<2m.$ We expect the theory of the paper to give regulators on categories of motives over rings with nilpotents.
