Abstract:In this note we derive some consequences from the Mari\~no-Vafa formula and the cut-and-join equation, these include unified simple proofs of the $\lambda_g$ conjecture and some other Hodge integral identities. We also describe a proof of the ELSV formula relating Hurwitz numbers and Hodge integrals by using the cut-and-join equation, following our proof of the Mari\~no-Vafa formula.

Abstract:The left and right homological integrals are introduced for a large class of infinite dimensional Hopf algebras. Using the homological integrals we prove a version of Maschke's theorem for infinite dimensional Hopf algebras. The generalization of Maschke's theorem and homological integrals are the keys to study noetherian regular Hopf algebras of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension one.

Abstract:We derive some Hodge integral identities by taking various limits of the Mariño-Vafa formula using the cut-and-join equation. These identities include the formula of generalλg\lambda _g-integrals, the formula ofλg−1\lambda _{g-1}-integrals onM¯g,1{\overline {\mathcal {M}}}_{g,1}, the formula of cubicλ\lambdaintegrals onM¯g{\overline {\mathcal {M}}}_g, and the ELSV formula relating Hurwitz numbers and Hodge integrals. In particular, our proof of the MV formula by the cut-and-join equation leads to a new and simple proof of theλg\lambda _gconjecture. We also present a proof of the ELSV formula completely parallel to our proof of the Mariño-Vafa formula.

Abstract:We propose a conjectural formula expressing the generating series of some Hodge integrals in terms of representation theory of Kac-Moody algebras. Such generating series appear in calculations of Gromov-Witten invariants by localization techniques. It generalizes a formula conjectured by Mari\~no and Vafa, recently proved in joint work with Chiu-Chu Melissa Liu and Kefeng Liu. Some examples are presented.

Abstract:We treat two quite different problems related to changes of complex structures on Kähler manifolds by using global geometric method. First, by using operators from Hodge theory on compact Kähler manifold, we present a closed explicit extension formula for holomorphic canonical forms in different complex structures. As applications, we give a closed explicit formula for certain canonical sections of Hodge bundles on marked and polarized moduli spaces of projective manifolds, and provide a closed explicit extension formula for holomorphic pluricanonical forms under certain natural conditions. Second, by using the operators in L^2-Hodge theory on Poincaré disk, we present a simple and unified method to solve the Beltrami equations with measurable coefficients for quasi-conformal maps.

Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira-SpencerKuranishi deformation theory of Kähler manifolds. As applications, we present a construction of globally convergent power series of integrable Beltrami differentials on Calabi-Yau manifolds, and use an iteration method to construct global canonical families of holomorphic (n, 0)-forms on the deformation spaces of Kähler manifolds.

Abstract:In this paper we describe a proof of the formulas of Witten [W1], [W2] about the symplectic volumes and the intersection numbers of the moduli spaces of principal bundles on a compact Riemann surface. It is known that these formulas give all the information needed for the Verlinde formula. The main idea of the proof is to use the heat kernel on compact Lie groups, in a way very similar to the heat kernel proof of the Atiyah-Singer index formula and the Atiyah-Bott fixed point formula. The Reidemeister torsion comes into the picture, through a beautiful observation of Witten, as the symplectic volume of the moduli space. It plays the role similar to that played by the Ray-Singer torsion in the path-integral computations on the space of connections. The basic idea is as follows. Consider a smooth map between two compact smooth manifolds f : M → N . Let H(t, x, x0) be the heat kernel of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on N with x0 a fixed regular value of f . Abstract:We prove several formulas related to Hodge theory and the Kodaira-Spencer-Kuranishi deformation theory of Kahler manifolds. Abstract:We conjecture an evaluation of three-partition cyclic Hodge integrals in terms of loop Schur functions. Our formula implies the orbifold Gromov–Witten/Donaldson–Thomas correspondence for toric Calabi–Yau threefolds with transverse An singularities. We prove the formula in the case where one of the partitions is empty, and thus establish the orbifold Gromov–Witten/Donaldson–Thomas correspondence for local toric surfaces with transverse An singularities.

Abstract:We employ combinatorial techniques to present an explicit formula for the coefficients in front of Chern classes involving in the Hattori-Stong integrability conditions. We also give an evenness condition for the signature of stably almost-complex manifolds in terms of Chern numbers. As an application, it can be showed that the signature of a $2n$-dimensional stably almost-complex manifold whose possibly nonzero Chern numbers being $c_n$ and $c_ic_{n-i}$ is even, which particularly rules out the existence of such structure on rational projective planes. Some other related results and remarks are also discussed in this article.

Abstract:We show that the generating series of some Hodge integrals involving one or two partitions are τ-functions of the KP hierarchy or the 2-Toda hierarchy, respectively. We also reformulate the results as a relationship between the relative invariants of some local Calabi-Yau geometries and integrable hierarchies and present some more examples using the topological vertex.

Abstract:In Affine Toda field theory, links among three generating functions for integrals of motion derived from Part (I) are studied, and some classically integrable boundary conditions are obtained. An infinite number of integrals of motion are calculated in ZMS model with quasi-periodic condition. We find the classically integrable boundary conditions and K+/-, matrices of ZMS model with independent boundary conditions on each end. It is identified that an infinite number of integrals of motion does exist and one of them is the Hamiltonian, so this system is completely integrable.

Abstract:As the first step of proving the Hodge-FVH correspondence recently proposed in [17], we derive the Virasoro constraints and the Dubrovin-Zhang loop equation for special cubic Hodge integrals. We show that this loop equation has a unique solution, and provide a new algorithm for the computation of these Hodge integrals. We also prove the existence of gap phenomenon for the special cubic Hodge free energies.

Abstract:In this paper, I generalize the formula that the integration of Chern forms of hermitian line bundles equals the algebraic intersection number of the underlying line bundles. Based on the theory of Yuan and Zhang, I generalize it to a formula on a quasi-projective variety over a complete valuation field which might be archimedean or non-archimedean. Our result has a close relation with the integration of Betti forms and the notion of non-degeneracy of a closed subvariety.

Abstract:Feng-Yun-Zhang have proved a function field analogue of the arithmetic Siegel-Weil formula, relating special cycles on moduli spaces of unitary shtukas to higher derivatives of Eisenstein series. We prove an extension of this formula in a low-dimensional case, and deduce from it a Gross-Zagier style formula expressing intersection multiplicities of cycles in terms of higher derivatives of base-change $L$-functions.

Abstract:In this paper, by treating massive loop momenta as massless momenta in higher dimensions, we are able to treat all-loop scattering equations as tree ones. As an application of the new perspective, we consider the CHY-construction of bi-adjoint ϕ 3 theory. We present the explicit formula for two-loop planar integrands. We discuss in details how to subtract various forward singularities in the construction. We count the number of terms obtained by our formula and by direct Feynman diagram calculation and find the perfect match, thus provide a strong support for our results.
