Abstract:Free Steiner triple systems (STS) are infinite structures that are naturally characterised by a universal property. We consider the class of free STSs from a model theoretic viewpoint. We show that free STSs on any number of generators are elementarily equivalent. We axiomatise their theory and show that it is stable.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the notion of system of quotients of Lie triple systems and investigate some properties which can be lifted from a Lie triple system to its systems of quotients. We relate the notion of Lie triple system of Martindale-like quotients with respect to a filter of ideals and the notion of system of quotients, and prove that the system of quotients of a Lie triple system is equivalent to the algebra of quotients of a Lie algebra in some sense, and these allow us to construct the maximal system of quotients for nondegenerate Lie triple systems.

Abstract:We study the structures of arbitrary split Leibniz triple systems. By developing techniques of connections of roots for this kind of triple systems, under certain conditions, in the case of $T$ being of maximal length, the simplicity of the Leibniz triple systems is characterized.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is mainly to build a new representation-theoretic realization of finite root systems through the so-called Frobenius-type triangular matrix algebras by the method of reflection functors over any field. Finally, we give an analog of APR-tilting module for this class of algebras. The major conclusions contains the known results as special cases, e.g. that for path algebras over an algebraically closed field and for path algebras with relations from symmetrizable cartan matrices. Meanwhile, it means the corresponding results for some other important classes of algebras, that is, the path algebras of quivers over Frobenius algebras and the generalized path algebras endowed by Frobenius algebras at vertices.

Abstract:We consider a class of Poincaré superalgebras for which the nested bracket of three supercharges is necessarily zero only in dimensions greater than three. In lower dimensions, we give a precise characterisation of the data which encodes any such Poincaré superalgebra in terms of a more elementary embedding superalgebra. Up to isomorphism, we classify every classical embedding superalgebra that defines a Poincaré superalgebra. More generally, we show how to construct an embedding superalgebra in dimensions one, two and three from a certain type of triple system whose product structure encodes the nested bracket of three supercharges in the associated Poincaré superalgebra.

Abstract:Association schemes on triples (ASTs) are ternary analogues of classical association schemes, whose relations and adjacency algebras are ternary instead of binary. We provide a survey of the current progress in the study of ASTs, highlighting open questions, suggesting research directions, and producing some related results. We review properties of the ternary adjacency algebras of ASTs, ASTs whose relations are invariant under some group action, and ASTs obtained from 2-designs and two-graphs. We also provide a notion of fusion and fission ASTs, using the AST obtained from the affine special linear group $ASL(2,q)$ as an example.

Abstract:There are four non-isomorphic configurations of triples that can form a triangle in a $3$-uniform hypergraph. Forbidding different combinations of these four configurations, fifteen extremal problems can be defined, several of which already appeared in the literature in some different context. Here we systematically study all of these problems solving the new cases exactly or asymptotically. In many cases we also characterize the extremal constructions.

Abstract:Although algebraic structures are frequently analyzed using unary and binary operations, they can also be effectively defined and unified through ternary operations. In this context, we introduce structures that contain two constants and a ternary operation. We demonstrate that these structures are isomorphic to various significant algebraic systems, including Boolean algebras, de Morgan algebras, MV-algebras, and (near) rings of characteristic two. Our work highlights the versatility of ternary operations in describing and connecting diverse algebraic structures.

Abstract:We investigate the notion of subsystem in the framework of spectral triple as a generalized notion of noncommutative submanifold. In the case of manifolds, we consider several conditions on Dirac operators which turn embedded submanifolds into isometric submanifolds. We then suggest a definition of spectral subtriple based on the notion of submanifold algebra and the already existing notions of Riemannian, isometric, and totally geodesic morphisms. We have shown that our definitions work at least in some relevant almost commutative examples.

Abstract:From algebraic geometry perspective database relations are succinctly defined as Finite Varieties. After establishing basic framework, we give analytic proof of Heath theorem from Database Dependency theory. Next, we leverage Algebra/Geometry dictionary and focus on algebraic counterparts of finite varieties, polynomial ideals. It is well known that intersection and sum of ideals are lattice operations. We generalize this fact to ideals from different rings, therefore establishing that algebra of ideals is Relational Lattice. The final stop is casting the framework into Linear Algebra, and traversing to Quantum Theory.

Abstract:We give an elementary introduction to the theory of triangulated categories covering their axioms, homological algebra in triangulated categories, triangulated subcategories, and Verdier localization. We try to use a minimal set of axioms for triangulated categories and derive all other statements from these, including the existence of biproducts. We conclude with a list of examples.

Abstract:On this work we study associative triple systems of the second kind. We show that for simple triple systems the automorphism group scheme is isomorphic to the automorphism group scheme of the $3$-graded associative algebra with involution constructed by Loos. This result will allow us to prove our main result which is a complete classification up to isomorphism of the gradings of structurable algebras.

A categorical view of varieties and equations

Abstract:We present a common framework to study varieties in great generality from a categorical point of view. The main application of this study is in the setting of algebraic categories, where we introduce Birkhoff varieties which are essentially subvarieties of algebraic categories, and we get a generalization of Birkhoff's variety theorem. In particular, we show that Birkhoff varieties are coreflexive equalizers. The key of this generalization is to give a more general concept of equation for subvarieties of algebraic categories. In order to get our characterization of Birkhoff varieties, we study inserters over algebraic categories, where we generalize some well-known results of algebras for finitary endofunctors over $Set$. By duality, we obtain a characterization of cosubvarieties of coalgebraic categories. Surprisingly, these cosubvarieties turn to be varieties according to our theory of varieties.

Abstract: We invent a new cohomology theory for Lie triple algebras. Using this cohomology, we introduce the notions of 2-term $L_\infty$-triple algebras and Lie triple 2-algebras. We prove that the category of 2-term $L_\infty$-triple algebras is equivalent to the category of Lie triple 2-algebras. Crossed modules of Lie triple algebras are studied in detail.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce notions of (proto-, quasi-)twilled Lie triple systems and give their equivalent descriptions using the controlling algebra and bidegree convention. Then we construct an $L_\infty$-algebra via a twilled Lie triple system. Besides, we establish the twisting theory of Lie triple systems and then characterize the twisting as a Maurer-Cartan element in the constructed $L_\infty$-algebra. Finally, we clarify the relationship between twilled Lie triple systems and matched pairs and clarify the relationship between twilled Lie triple systems and relative Rota-Baxter operators respectively so that we obtain the relationship between matched pairs of Lie triple systems and relative Rota-Baxter operators.
