Abstract:Given a partial (resp. a global) action $\alpha$ of a connected finite groupoid $G$ on a ring $A$, we determine necessary and sufficient conditions for the partial (resp. global) skew groupoid ring $A\star_{\alpha} G$ to be a separable extension of $A$.

Abstract:Let $\alpha=(A_g,\alpha_g)_{g\in G}$ be a group-type partial action of a connected groupoid $G$ on a ring $A=\bigoplus_{z\in G_0}A_z$ and $B=A\star_{\alpha}G$ the corresponding partial skew groupoid ring. In the first part of this paper we investigate the relation of several ring theoretic properties between $A$ and $B$. For the second part, using that every Leavitt path algebra is isomorphic to a partial skew groupoid ring obtained from a partial groupoid action $\lambda$, we characterize when $\lambda$ is group-type. In such a case, we obtain ring theoretic properties of Leavitt path algebras from the results on general partial skew groupoid rings. Several examples that illustrate the results on Leavitt path algebras are presented.

Abstract:We study the interplay between Steinberg algebras and partial skew rings: For a partial action of a group in a Hausdorff, locally compact, totally disconnected topological space, we realize the associated partial skew group ring as a Steinberg algebra (over the transformation groupoid attached to the partial action). We then apply this realization to characterize diagonal preserving isomorphisms of partial skew group rings, over commutative algebras, in terms of continuous orbit equivalence of the associated partial actions. Finally, we show that any Steinberg algebra, associated to a Hausdorff ample groupoid, can be seen as a partial skew inverse semigroup ring.

Abstract:An $S$-ring (a Schur ring) is said to be separable with respect to a class of groups $\mathcal{K}$ if every algebraic isomorphism from the $S$-ring in question to an $S$-ring over a group from $\mathcal{K}$ is induced by a combinatorial isomorphism. A finite group is said to be \emph{separable} with respect to $\mathcal{K}$ if every $S$-ring over this group is separable with respect to $\mathcal{K}$. We provide a complete classification of abelian $p$-groups separable with respect to the class of abelian groups.

Abstract:Given a partial action őĪ of a groupoid G on a ring R , we study the associated partial skew groupoid ring R ‚čä őĪ G , which carries a natural G -grading. We show that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the G -invariant ideals of R and the graded ideals of the G -graded ring R ‚čä őĪ G . We provide sufficient conditions for primeness, and necessary and sufficient conditions for simplicity of R ‚čä őĪ G . We show that every ideal of R ‚čä őĪ G is graded if and only if őĪ has the residual intersection property. Furthermore, if őĪ is induced by a topological partial action őł, then we prove that minimality of őł is equivalent to G -simplicity of R , topological transitivity of őł is equivalent to G -primeness of R , and topological freeness of őł on every closed invariant subset of the underlying topological space is equivalent to őĪ having the residual intersection property. As an application, we characterize condition (K) for an ultragraph in terms of topological properties of the associated partial action and in terms of algebraic properties of the associated ultragraph algebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce the definition of groupoid graded rings. Group graded rings, (skew) groupoid rings, artinian semisimple rings, matrix rings and others can be regarded as special kinds of groupoid graded rings. Our main task is to classify strongly groupoid graded rings by cohomology of groupoids. Some classical results about group graded rings are generalized to groupoid graded rings. In particular, the Clifford Theorem for a strongly groupoid graded ring is given.

Abstract:An $S$-ring (a Schur ring) is said to be separable with respect to a class of groups $\mathcal{K}$ if every algebraic isomorphism from the $S$-ring in question to an $S$-ring over a group from $\mathcal{K}$ is induced by a combinatorial isomorphism. A finite group $G$ is said to be separable with respect to $\mathcal{K}$ if every $S$-ring over $G$ is separable with respect to $\mathcal{K}$. We prove that every abelian group $G$ of order $9p$, where $p$ is a prime, is separable with respect to the class of all finite abelian groups. Modulo previously obtained results, this completes a classification of noncyclic abelian groups of odd order that are separable with respect to the class of all finite abelian groups. Also this implies that the Weisfeiler-Leman dimension of the class of Cayley graphs over $G$ is at most 2.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate primeness of groupoid graded rings. We provide a set of necessary and sufficient conditions for primeness of a nearly-epsilon strongly groupoid graded ring. Furthermore, we apply our main result to get a characterization of prime partial skew groupoid rings, and in particular of prime groupoid rings, thereby generalizing a classical result by Connell and partially generalizing recent results by Steinberg.

Abstract:We obtain criteria for when a ring with enough idempotents is left/right artinian or noetherian in terms of local criteria defined by the associated complete set of idempotents for the ring. We apply these criteria to object unital category graded rings in general and, in particular, to the class of skew category algebras. Thereby, we generalize results by Nastasescu-van Oystaeyen, Bell, Park, and Zelmanov from the group graded case to groupoid, and in some cases category, gradings.

Abstract:We define and characterise completely dg-separable dg-extensions $\varphi:(A,d_A)\rightarrow (B,d_B)$. We completely characterise the case of graded commutative dg-division algebras in characteristic different from $2$. We prove that for a dg-separable extension a short exact sequence of dg-modules over $(B,d_B)$ splits if and only if the restriction to $(A,d_A)$ splits, giving that $(B,d_B)$ is acyclic and $\ker(d_B)$ graded-semisimple in case $(A,d_A)$ is a graded commutative dg-division algebra with $d_A=0$.

Abstract:We provide a necessary and sufficient condition to the existence of an ordered globalization of a partial ordered action of an ordered groupoid on a ring and we also present criteria to obtain uniqueness. Furthermore, we apply those results to obtain a Morita context and to show that an inverse semigroup partial action has a globalization (unique up to isomorphism) if, and only if, it is unital.

Abstract:We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the finite separability of finitely generated commutative rings. Namely, we prove that every such ring is a finite extension of its torsion ideal $I_k$ where $k$ is square-free, and $I_k$ is a subdirect product of a finite ring and finitely many zero divisor-free rings of prime characteristic each of which is an entire extension of any of its infinite monogenic subrings.

Abstract:We prove a Galois correspondence theorem for groupoids acting orthogonally and partially on commutative rings. We also consider partial actions that are not orthogonal, presenting two correspondences in this case: one for strongly Galois partial groupoid actions and one for global groupoid actions (without restriction). Some examples are illustrated.

Abstract:Let $A$ be an additively cancellative semialgebra over an additively cancellative semifield $K$ as defined in [9]. For a given partial action $\alpha$ of a group $G$ on an algebra, the associativity of partial skew group ring together with the existence and uniqueness of enveloping (global) action were studied by M. Dokuchaev and R. Exel [2] which were extended for semialgebras with some restriction by Sharma et. al. using the ring of differences. In a similar way, we extend the results of [2,3] for semialgebras regarding partial representations.

Abstract:In this article, we introduce the concept of partial groupoid actions on R- semicategories as well as we give criteria for existence of a globalization of it. This point of view is a generalization of the notions of partial groupoid actions on rings and partial group action on an R-semicategory. We also define the notions of partial skew groupoid category, smash product and describe functorial relations between them, in particular we show that the smash product is a Galois covering of its associated skew groupoid category.

Abstract:Let $X$ be a finite partially ordered set, $R$ an associative unital ring and $\sigma$ an endomorphism of $R$. We describe some properties of the skew incidence ring $I(X,R,\sigma)$ such as invertible elements, idempotents, the Jacobson radical and the center. Moreover, if the skew incidence rings $I(X,R,\sigma)$ and $I(Y,S,\tau)$ are isomorphic and the only idempotents of $R,S$ are the trivial ones, we show that the partially ordered sets $X$ and $Y$ are isomorphic.

Abstract:We present some constructions of groupoids as: direct product, semidirect product, and we give necessary and sufficient conditions for a groupoid to be embedded into a direct product of groupoids. Also, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions to determine when a semidirect product is direct. Moreover, we establish an equivalence between the category of strict partial groupoid actions and the category of star injective functors. Finally, we give a relation of categorical type between the actions groupoids (G, X) and (G, Y), being Y a universal globalization of X.

Abstract:In this article, we work with a unital twisted partial action of a group G on a ring R . We study when the twisted partial skew generalized power series rings are Von Newman regular. Moreover, we study when the partial skew Malcev-Newman ring is simple, we provide some examples where the assumption of our principal results about Von Newman regularity can not be dropped and we discuss a conjecture given by Tuganbaev in the case of partial actions.
