Abstract:In this article, we introduce a class of generalized matrix algebras, in which each algebra is called a normally upper triangular gm algebra, and characterise Gorenstein projective modules over this class of algebras. Moreover, a sufficient condition of strongly Gorenstein projective modules over normally upper triangular gm algebras is given. The importance of normally upper triangular gm algebras for us is that it includes the so-called path algebras of quivers over algebras and generalized path algebras. Due to this, we characterize Gorenstein projective modules and strongly Gorenstein projective modules over path algebras of quivers over algebras and generalized path algebras as applications of the main results on normally upper triangular gm algebras. At last, we give an example to show how all indecomposable Gorenstein projective modules over a given algebra are constructed by the result on generalized path algebras.

Abstract:This article explores the connection between radical isogenies and modular curves. Radical isogenies are formulas designed for the computation of chains of isogenies of fixed small degree $N$, introduced by Castryck, Decru, and Vercauteren at Asiacrypt 2020. One significant advantage of radical isogeny formulas over other formulas with a similar purpose is that they eliminate the need to generate a point of order $N$ that generates the kernel of the isogeny. While radical isogeny formulas were originally developed using elliptic curves in Tate normal form, Onuki and Moriya have proposed radical isogeny formulas of degrees $3$ and $4$ on Montgomery curves and attempted to obtain a simpler form of radical isogenies using enhanced elliptic and modular curves. In this article, we translate the original setup of radical isogenies in Tate normal form into the language of modular curves. Additionally, we solve an open problem introduced by Onuki and Moriya regarding radical isogeny formulas on $X_0(N).$

Abstract:We call a Krasner right S‐hypermodule A regular if each cyclic subhypermodule of A is a direct summand of A, and we also call A semiregular if every finitely generated subhypermodule of A lies above a direct summand of A. In this study, some properties of such hypermodules are achieved. This paper consists of concentrating over the radical, as well as their connections with (semi)regularity of hypermodules. Finally, the relationship between f‐supplement submodule and semiregularity is given.

Abstract:We introduce the concepts of lifting modules and (quasi-)discrete modules relative to a given left module. We also introduce the notion of SSRS-modules. It is shown that (1) if M is an amply supplemented module and 0→N′→N→N″→0 an exact sequence, then M is N-lifting if and only if it is N′-lifting and N″-lifting; (2) if M is a Noetherian module, then M is lifting if and only if M is R-lifting if and only if M is an amply supplemented SSRS-module; and (3) let M be an amply supplemented SSRS-module such that Rad(M) is finitely generated, then M=K⊕K′, where K is a radical module and K′ is a lifting module.

Abstract:The coincidence of the set of all nilpotent elements of a ring with its prime radical has a module analogue which occurs when the zero submodule satisfies the radical formula. A ring $R$ is 2-primal if the set of all nilpotent elements of $R$ coincides with its prime radical. This fact motivates our study in this paper, namely, to compare 2-primal submodules and submodules that satisfy the radical formula. A demonstration of the importance of 2-primal modules in bridging the gap between modules over commutative rings and modules over noncommutative rings is done and new examples of rings and modules that satisfy the radical formula are also given.

A new notion of semiprime submodules

Abstract:We introduce a new concept of a semiprime submodule. We show that a submodule of a finitely generated module over a commutative ring is semiprime if and only if it is radical, that is, an intersection of prime submodules. Using our notion, we also provide a new characterization of radical submodules of finitely generated modules over commutative rings.

Abstract:In this paper, we give a more down-to-earth introduction to the connection between Gelfand-Tsetlin modules over and diagrammatic KLRW algebras and develop some of its consequences. In addition to a new proof of this description of the category Gelfand-Tsetlin modules appearing in earlier work, we show three new results of independent interest: (1) we show that every simple Gelfand-Tsetlin module is a canonical module in the sense of Early, Mazorchuk and Vishnyakova, and characterize when two maximal ideals have isomorphic canonical modules, (2) we show that the dimensions of Gelfand-Tsetlin weight spaces in simple modules can be computed using an appropriate modification of Leclerc's algorithm for computing dual canonical bases, and (3) we construct a basis of the Verma modules of which consists of generalized eigenvectors for the Gelfand-Tsetlin subalgebra. Furthermore, we present computations of multiplicities and Gelfand-Kirillov dimensions for all integral Gelfand-Tsetlin modules in ranks 3 and 4; unfortunately, for ranks , our computers are not adequate to perform these computations.

Abstract:We study a modified version of the classical Ulrich modules, which we call $c$-Ulrich. Unlike the traditional setting, $c$-Ulrich modules always exist. We prove that these modules retain many of the essential properties and applications observed in the literature. Additionally, we reveal their significance as obstructions to Cohen-Macaulay properties of tensor products. Leveraging this insight, we show the utility of these modules in testing the finiteness of homological dimensions across various scenarios.

Supramolecular Free Radicals: Fabrication, Modulation and Functions

Abstract:Modulating the activity of radicals is of great importance for the applications in radical-based materials and radical-mediated reactions. To this end, we have proposed a new concept of "supramolecular free radicals", which refers to the free radicals stabilized or activated through supramolecular approaches. Based on the host-guest chemistry of cucurbiturils (CB), we have fabricated three kinds of supramolecular free radicals to modulate the activity and realize diverse functions. Firstly, radical anions can be stabilized by the steric effect and electrostatic effect of CB. As a result, we have constructed a highly efficient near-infrared photothermal conversion system, which displays selective antibacterial performance. Secondly, owing to the electrostatic effect of CB, radical cations can be activated to induce a significant acceleration of Fenton oxidation reaction. Thirdly, by taking advantage of the dynamic nature of host-guest interactions, we can endow the reaction intermediate with adaptive reactivity, which greatly improves the catalytic efficiency of alcohol oxidation. It is highly anticipated that this series of research opens a new horizon in supramolecular materials and supramolecular catalysis.

Abstract:We introduced and studied GF-regular modules as a generalization of π-regular rings to modules as well as regular modules (in the sense of Fieldhouse). An R-moduleM is called GF-regular if for each x ∈ M and r ∈ R, there exist t ∈ R and a positive integer n such that rntrnx = rx. The notion of G-pure submodules was introduced to generalize pure submodules and proved that an RmoduleM isGF-regular if and only if every submodule ofM isG-pure iffMM is aGF-regular RM-module for each maximal ideal M of R. Many characterizations and properties of GF-regular modules were given. An R-moduleM isGF-regular iff R/ann(x) is a π-regular ring for each 0 ̸ = x ∈ M iff R/ann(M) is a π-regular ring for finitely generated moduleM. IfM is a GF-regular module, then J(M) = 0.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to develop an `external' Kurosh-Amitsur radical theory of semirings and, using this approach, to obtain some fundamental results regarding two Jacobson type of radicals --- the Jacobson-Bourne, J-, radical and a very natural its variation, J_{s}-radical --- of hemirings, as well as the Brown-McCoy, R_{BM}-, radical of hemirings. Among the new central results of the paper, we single out the following ones: Theorems unifying two, internal and external, approches to the Kurosh-Amitzur radical theory of hemirings; A characterization of J-semisimple hemirings; A description of J-semisimple congruence-simple hemirings; A characterization of finite additively-idempotent J_{s}-semisimple hemirings; Complete discriptions of R_{BM}-semisimple commutative and lattice-ordered hemirings; Semiring versions of the well-known classical ring results---Nakayama's and Hopkins Lemmas and Jacobson-Chevalley Density Theorem; Establishing the fundamental relationship between the radicals J, J_{s}, and R_{BM} of hemirings R and matrix hemirings M_{n}(R); Establishing the matric-extensibleness of the radical classes of the Jacobson, Brown-McCoy, and J_{s}-, radicals of hemirings; Showing that the J-semisimplicity, J_{s}-semisimplicity, and R_{BM}-semisimplicity of semirings are Morita invariant properties.

Abstract:In this paper, we pursue three aims. The first one is to apply Amitsur's relations and radicals theory to the study of the lattices of closed two-sided ideals of C*-algebras A . We show that many new and many well-known results about C*-algebras follow naturally from this approach. Abstract:Let $R$ be a commutative unital ring and $N$ be a submodule of an $R$-module $M$. The submodule $\langle E_M(N)\rangle$ generated by the envelope $E_M(N)$ of $N$ is instrumental in studying rings and modules that satisfy the radical formula. We show that: 1) the semiprime radical is an invariant on all the submodules which are respectively generated by envelopes in the ascending chain of envelopes of a given submodule; 2) for rings that satisfy the radical formula, $\langle E_M(0)\rangle$ is an idempotent radical and it induces a torsion theory whose torsion class consists of all nil $R$-modules and the torsionfree class consists of all reduced $R$-modules; 3) Noetherian uniserial modules satisfy the semiprime radical formula and their semiprime radical is a nil module; and lastly, 4) we construct a sheaf of nil $R$-modules on $\text{Spec}(R)$.

On Solutions of Some Functional Equations of Radical Type

Abstract:Many authors have studied various functional equations of forms patterned on the equation expressed as ga2+b2=g(a)+g(b), which can be considered, e.g., for real functions. Such equations are usually referred to as radical functional equations or of the radical type. Authors mainly study the so-called Ulam stability of such equations, i.e., they investigate how much the mappings satisfying the equations approximately (in a sense) differ from the exact solutions of these equations. Quite often, information about the solutions of these equations is also provided, but unfortunately, sometimes, such information is given in a misleading or incomplete way. It seems, therefore, that there is a need for a publication containing simple descriptions of such solutions (with appropriate examples), which would help in easy correction of such information and avoidance of similar problems for future authors. This is the main motivation for this expository paper. We present a general approach to the topic and consider two general forms of such equations. Moreover, the results presented in this paper show significant symmetry between the solutions of numerous functional equations and the solutions of equations of the radical type that correspond to them. To make this publication accessible to a wider audience, we omit various related information, avoid advanced generalizations, and present several simple examples.

Abstract:A diradical with engineered g‐asymmetry was synthesized by grafting a nitroxide radical onto the [Y(Pc)2] ̇ radical platform. Various spectroscopic techniques and computational studies revealed that the electronic structures of the two spin systems remained minimally affected within the diradical system. Fluid‐solution Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) experiments revealed a weak exchange coupling with |J| ~ 0.014 cm‐1, subsequently rationalized by CAS‐SCF calculations. Frozen solution continuous‐wave (CW) EPR experiments showed a complicated and power‐dependent spectrum that eluded analysis using the point‐dipole model. Pulse EPR manipulations with varying microwave powers, or under varying magnetic fields, demonstrated that different resonances could be selectively enhanced or suppressed, based on their different tipping angles. In particular, Field‐Swept Echo‐Detected (FSED) spectra revealed absorptions of MW power‐dependent intensities, while Field‐Swept Spin Nutation (FSSN) experiments revealed two distinct Rabi frequencies. This study introduces a methodology to synthesize and characterize g‐asymmetric two‐spin systems, of interest in the implementation of spin‐based CNOT gates.
