Abstract:We study module like objects over categorical quotients of algebras by the action of coalgebras with several objects. These take the form of ``entwined comodules'' and ``entwined contramodules'' over a triple $(\mathscr C,A,\psi)$, where $A$ is an algebra, $\mathscr C$ is a coalgebra with several objects and $\psi$ is a collection of maps that ``entwines'' $\mathscr C$ with $A$. Our objective is to prove Frobenius, separability and Maschke type theorems for functors between categories of entwined comodules and entwined contramodules.

Abstract:Given a ring $R$, we have a classical result stating that the ordinary category of modules is the abelianization of the category of augmented $R$-algebras. Analogously, using the framework of infinity categories and higher algebra, Francis showed that the infinity category of $R$-modules is the stabilization of the infinity category of augmented $R$-algebras. In this work we show a dual result for coalgebras over a cooperad $Q$: namely that given a coalgebra $C$, comodules over $C$ are the costabilization of coalgebras over $C$, which is the universal stable category with a finite colimit preserving functor to coalgebras over $C$.

Abstract:We describe the category of homotopy coalgebras, concentrating on properties of relatively cofree homotopy coalgebras, morphisms and coderivations from an ordinary coalgebra to a relatively cofree homotopy coalgebra, morphisms and coderivations between coalgebras of latter type. Cobar- and bar-constructions between counit-complemented curved coalgebras, unit-complemented curved algebras and curved homotopy coalgebras are described. Using twisting cochains an adjunction between cobar- and bar-constructions is derived under additional assumptions.

Abstract:We develop the categorical algebra of the noncommutative base change of a comodule category by means of a Grothendieck category S . We describe when the resulting category of comodules is locally finitely generated, locally noetherian or may be recovered as a coreflective subcategory of the noncommutative base change of a module category. We also introduce the category SHA of relative (A,H) -Hopf modules in S , where H is a Hopf algebra and A is a right H -comodule algebra. We study the cohomological theory in SHA by means of spectral sequences. Using coinduction functors and functors of coinvariants, we study torsion theories and how they relate to injective resolutions in SHA . Finally, we use the theory of associated primes and support in noncommutative base change of module categories to give direct sum decompositions of minimal injective resolutions in SHA .

Abstract:A Koszul duality-type correspondence between coderived categories of conilpotent differential graded Lie coalgebras and their Chevalley-Eilenberg differential graded algebras is established. This gives an interpretation of Lie coalgebra cohomology as a certain kind of derived functor. A similar correspondence is proved for coderived categories of commutative cofibrant differential graded algebras and their Harrison differential graded Lie coalgebras.

Abstract:We define a new cyclic module, dual to the Connes-Moscovici cyclic module, for Hopf algebras, and give a characteristric map for the coaction of Hopf algebras. We also compute the resulting cyclic homology for cocommutative Hopf algebras, and some quantum groups.

Abstract:This paper introduces the concepts of cylinder coalgebras and cylinder coproducts for quasitriangular bialgebras,and points out that there exists an anti-coaigebra isomorphism (H,■)■(H,■),where (H,■) is the cylinder coproduct,and (H,■) is the braided coproduct given by Kass.For any finite dimensional Hopf algebra H,the Drinfel'd double (D(H),■D(H)) is proved to be the cylinder coproduct.Let (H,H,R) be copaired Hopf algebras.If R∈Z(H■ H) with inverse R~(-1) and skew inverse ■,then the twisted coalgebra (H■)~(R~(-1)) is constructed via twice twists,whose comultiplication is exactly the cylinder coproduct.Moreover,for any generalized Long dimodule,some solutions for Yang-Baxter equations,four braid pairs and Long equations are constructed via cylinder twists.

Abstract:We show that the category of partial comodules over a Hopf algebra H is comonadic over Vect k and provide an explicit construction of this comonad using topological vector spaces. The case when H is finite-dimensional is treated in detail. A study of partial representations of linear algebraic groups is initiated; we show that a connected linear algebraic group does not admit partiality.

Abstract:Let H be a coFrobenius Hopf algebra over a field k. Let A be a right H-comodule algebra over k. We recall that the category of right H-comodules admits a certain model structure whose homotopy category is equivalent to the stable category of right H-comodules given in Farina's paper. In the first part of this paper, we show that the category of left A-module objects in the category of right H-comodules admits a model structure, which becomes a model subcategory of the category of H*-equivariant A-modules endowed with a model structure given in the author's previous paper if H is finite dimensional with a certain assumption. Note that this category is not a Frobenius category in general. We also construct a functorial cofibrant replacement by proceeding the similar argument as in Qi's paper. In the latter half of this paper, we see that cyclic H-comodules which give Hopf-cyclic (co)homology with coefficients in Hopf H-modules are contructible in the homotopy category of right H-comodules, and we investigate a Hopf-cyclic (co)homology in slightly modified setting by assuming A a right H-comodule k-Hopf algebra with H-colinear bijective antipode in stable category of right H-comodules and give an analogue of the characteristic map. We remark that, as an expansion of an idea of taking trivial comodule k as the coefficients, if we take an A-coinvariant part of M assuming M a Hopf A-module in the category of right H-comodules, we have the degree shift of cyclic modules.

Rigidification of connective comodules

Abstract:Let $\mathbb{k}$ be a commutative ring with global dimension zero. We show that we can rigidify homotopy coherent comodules in connective modules over the Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectrum of $\mathbb{k}$. That is, the $\infty$-category of homotopy coherent comodules is represented by a model category of strict comodules in non-negative chain complexes over $\mathbb{k}$. These comodules are over a coalgebra that is strictly coassociative and simply connected. The rigidification result allows us to derive the notion of cotensor product of comodules and endows the $\infty$-category of comodules with a symmetric monoidal structure via the two-sided cobar resolution.

Homological algebra of semimodules and semicontramodules: Semi-infinite homological algebra of associative algebraic structures

Abstract:We develop the basic constructions of homological algebra in the (appropriately defined) unbounded derived categories of modules over algebras over coalgebras over noncommutative rings (which we call semialgebras over corings). We define double-sided derived functors SemiTor and SemiExt of the functors of semitensor product and semihomomorphisms, and construct an equivalence between the exotic derived categories of semimodules and semicontramodules. Certain (co)flatness and/or (co)projectivity conditions have to be imposed on the coring and semialgebra to make the module categories abelian (and the cotensor product associative). Besides, for a number of technical reasons we mostly have to assume that the basic ring has a finite homological dimension (no such assumptions about the coring and semialgebra are made). In the final sections we construct model category structures on the categories of complexes of semi(contra)modules, and develop relative nonhomogeneous Koszul duality theory for filtered semialgebras and quasi-differential corings. Our motivating examples come from the semi-infinite cohomology theory. Comparison with the semi-infinite (co)homology of Tate Lie algebras and graded associative algebras is established in appendices, and the semi-infinite homology of a locally compact topological group relative to an open profinite subgroup is defined. An application to the correspondence between complexes of representations of an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra on the complementary central charge levels ($c$ and $26-c$ for the Virasoro) is worked out.

Abstract:We dualise the classical fact that an operad with multiplication leads to cohomology groups which form a Gerstenhaber algebra to the context of cooperads: as a result, a cooperad with comultiplication induces a homology theory that is endowed with the structure of a Gerstenhaber coalgebra, that is, it comes with a graded cocommutative coproduct which is compatible with a coantisymmetric cobracket in a dual Leibniz sense. As an application, one obtains Gerstenhaber coalgebra structures on Tor groups over bialgebras or Hopf algebras, as well as on Hochschild homology for Frobenius algebras.

Abstract:In this paper we propose unifying the categories of cochain complexes $\text{Ch}(\mathcal{C})$ and modules $\widehat{A}\text{-mod}$ over a repetitive algebra $\widehat{A}$. Motivated by their striking similarities and importance, we introduce a novel category encompassing both. Our analysis explores key properties of this unified category, highlighting its parallels and divergences from the original structures. We study whether it preserves crucial aspects like limits, colimits, products, coproducts, and abelianity. Besides, we establish a family of projective and injective indecomposable objects within this framework. Moving beyond theoretical foundations, we examine the influence and interaction over these novel categories of the category of endofunctors and its monoidal structure. Finally, we explore the implications of our constructions over representation theory of algebras and algebraic geometry.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider compatible Hom-associative algebras as a twisted version of compatible associative algebras. Compatible Hom-associative algebras are characterized as Maurer-Cartan elements in a suitable bidifferential graded Lie algebra. We also define a cohomology theory for compatible Hom-associative algebras generalizing the classical case. As applications of cohomology, we study abelian extensions and deformations of compatible Hom-associative algebras.

Abstract:Quantum categories have been recently studied because of their relation to bialgebroids, small categories, and skew monoidales. This is the first of a series of papers based on the author's PhD thesis in which we examine the theory of quantum categories developed by Day, Lack, and Street. A quantum category is an opmonoidal monad on the monoidale associated to a biduality $R\dashv R^{\circ}$, or enveloping monoidale, in a monoidal bicategory of modules $\mathsf{Mod}(\mathcal{V})$ for a monoidal category $\mathcal{V}$. Lack and Street proved that quantum categories are in equivalence with right skew monoidales whose unit has a right adjoint in $\mathsf{Mod}(\mathcal{V})$. Our first important result is similar to that of Lack and Street. It is a characterisation of opmonoidal \emph{arrows} on enveloping monoidales in terms of a new structure named \emph{oplax action}. We then provide three different notions of comodule for an opmonoidal arrow, and using a similar technique we prove that they are equivalent. Finally, when the opmonoidal arrow is an opmonoidal monad, we are able to provide the category of comodules for a quantum category with a monoidal structure such that the forgetful functor is monoidal.

Duality for coalgebras for Vietoris and monadicity

Abstract:We prove that the opposite of the category of coalgebras for the Vietoris endofunctor on the category of compact Hausdorff spaces is monadic over Set. We deliver an analogous result for the upper, lower and convex Vietoris endofunctors acting on the category of stably compact spaces. We provide axiomatizations of the associated (infinitary) varieties. This can be seen as a version of Jonsson-Tarski duality for modal algebras beyond the 0-dimensional setting.
