Abstract:A theorem of Functorial Affinization of Nash's manifold is proven here giving necessary and sufficient conditions to lift a holomorphic arc to the smooth locus of the Nash manifold. In addition a theorem about valuations is proven.

Abstract:In this paper we discuss lifting laws which, roughly, are ways of "lifting" elements of the open orbit of one prehomogeneous vector space to elements of the minimal nonzero orbit of another prehomogeneous vector space. We prove a handful of these lifting laws, and show how they can be used to help solve certain problems in arithmetic invariant theory. Of the results contained in this article are twisted versions of certain parametrization theorems of Bhargava.

Abstract:The effective freeness in Fujita's conjecture states that, for an ample line bundle $L$ on a complex projective manifold $X$, the adjoint bundle $K_X\otimes L^{\otimes m}$ is globally generated when $m \geq \dim_{\mathbb C} X + 1$. Following the approach of Angehrn and Siu, a solution is provided in this paper via the use of adjoint ideal sheaves, which provide a finer control of the non-integrable loci given by multiplier ideal sheaves, so that one can work directly with the lc singularities and the associated (minimal) lc centres as in the algebraic approaches of Kawamata and Helmke. The substitute for the Nadel or Kawamata-Viehweg vanishing theorem used in previous approaches is an extension theorem based on the techniques developed for the injectivity theorems.

Abstract:Recently, the first author [1] showed that the admissible vector-valued automorphic forms lift to the admissible ones. In this article, we study the lifts for the logarithmic vector-valued automorphic forms and explicitly compute the Fourier coefficients of the lifted vector-valued automorphic forms.

Abstract:We prove a relative version over $\mathbb{Q}$ of Nash-Tognoli theorem, that is: Let $M$ be a compact smooth manifold with closed smooth submanifolds $M_1,\dots,M_\ell$ in general position, then there exists a nonsingular real algebraic set $M'\subset\mathbb{R}^n$ with nonsingular algebraic subsets $M_1',\dots,M_\ell'$ and a diffeomorphism $h:M\to M'$ such that $h(M_i)=M_i'$ for all $i=1,\dots,\ell$ such that $M',M_1',\dots,M_\ell'$ are described, both globally and locally, by polynomial equations with rational coefficients. In addition, if $M,M_1,\dots,M_\ell$ are nonsingular algebraic sets, then we prove the diffeomorphism $h:M\to M'$ can be chosen semialgebraic and the result can be extended to the noncompact case. In the proof we describe also the $\mathbb{Z}/2\mathbb{Z}$-homological cycles of real embedded Grassmannian manifolds by nonsingular algebraic representatives over $\mathbb{Q}$ via the Bott-Samelson resolution of Schubert varieties.

Algebraization Techniques and Rigid-Analytic Artin-Grothendieck Vanishing

Abstract:First, we prove an algebraization result for rig-smooth algebras over a general noetherian ring; this positively answers the question raised in [Sta24, Tag 0GAX]. Then we prove a general partial algebraization result in non-archimedean geometry. The result says that we can always algebraize a geometrically reduced affinoid rigid-analytic space in "one direction" in an appropriate sense. As an application of this result, we show the remaining cases of the Artin-Grothendieck Vanishing for affinoid algebras, which were previously conjectured in [BM21, §7]. This allows us to deduce a stronger version of the rigid-analytic Artin-Grothendieck Vanishing Conjecture (see [Han20, Conj. 1.2]) over a field of characteristic 0. Using a completely different set of ideas, we also obtain a weaker version of this conjecture over a field of characteristic p>0.

Abstract:The Miyawaki liftings are defined by the pullbacks of Ikeda liftings. Recently, Ikeda and Yamana extended the theory of Ikeda liftings. In this paper, using their results, we establish a theory of Miyawaki liftings, both locally and globally. In the local theory, we describe the Miyawaki liftings for almost tempered unitary representations explicitly. In the global theory, we discuss the non-vanishing of the Miyawaki liftings using seesaw identities and the global Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture. As an application of local Miyawaki liftings, we prove a new case of the local Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecture.

Non-archimedean analytic continuation of unobstructedness

Abstract:The Floer cohomology and the Fukaya category are not defined in general. Indeed, while the issue of obstructions can be theoretically addressed by introducing bounding cochains, the actual existence of even one such bounding cochain is usually unknown. This paper aims to deal with the problem. We study certain non-archimedean analytic structure that enriches the Maurer-Cartan theory of bounding cochains. Using this rigid structure and family Floer techniques, we prove that within a connected family of graded Lagrangian submanifolds, if any one Lagrangian is unobstructed (in a slightly stronger sense), then all remaining Lagrangians are automatically unobstructed.

Families of jets of arc type and higher (co)dimensional Du Val singularities

Abstract:Families of jets through singularities of algebraic varieties are here studied in relation to the families of arcs originally studied by Nash. After proving a general result relating them, we look at normal locally complete intersection varieties with rational singularities and focus on a class of singularities we call "higher Du Val singularities", a higher dimensional (and codimensional) version of Du Val singularities that is closely related to Arnold singularities. More generally, we introduce the notion of "higher compound Du Val singularities", whose definition parallels that of compound Du Val singularities. For such singularities, we prove that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between families of arcs and families of jets of sufficiently high order through the singularities. In dimension two, the result partially recovers a theorem of Mourtada on the jet schemes of Du Val singularities. As an application, we give a solution of the Nash problem for higher Du Val singularities.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce new invariants to a singularity (V,0), i.e., the derivation Lie algebras Lk(V) of the higher Nash blow-up local algebra Mk(V). A new conjecture about the non-existence of negative weighted derivations of Lk(V) for weighted homogeneous isolated hypersurface singularities is proposed. We verify this conjecture partially. Moreover, we compute the Lie algebra L2(V) for binomial isolated singularities. We also formulate a sharp upper estimate conjecture for the dimension of Lk(V) for weighted homogeneous isolated hypersurface singularities and verify this conjecture for a large class of singularities.

Abstract:Let X X be a real analytic manifold. A function f : X → R f:X\to \mathbb {R} is called arc-analytic if it is real analytic on each real analytic arc. In real analytic geometry there are many examples of arc-analytic functions that are not real analytic. They appear while studying the arc-symmetric sets and the blow-analytic equivalence. In this paper we show that the non-analyticity locus of an arc-analytic function is arc-symmetric. We also discuss the behavior of the non-analyticity locus under blowings-up. By a result of Bierstone and Milman, an arc-analytic function f : X → R f:X\to \mathbb {R} that satisfies a polynomial equation with real analytic coefficients, can be made analytic, over any relatively compact subset of X X , by a sequence of blowings-up with smooth centers. We show that these centers can be chosen, at each stage of the resolution, inside the non-analyticity loci.

Abstract:Any Lie algebroid $A$ admits a Nash-type blow-up $\mathrm{Nash}(A)$ that sits in a nice short exact sequence of Lie algebroids $0\rightarrow K\rightarrow \mathrm{Nash}(A)\rightarrow \mathcal{D}\rightarrow 0$ with $K$ a Lie algebra bundle and $\mathcal{D}$ a Lie algebroid whose anchor map is injective on an open dense subset. The base variety is a blowup determined by the singular foliation of $A$. We provide concrete examples. Moreover, we extend the construction following Mohsen's to singular subalgebroids in the sense of Androulidakis-Zambon.

Abstract:The Nash blowing-up (or modification) of an algebraic variety $X$ is a canonical process that produces a proper, birational morphism $\pi : X' \to X$ of varieties. It is expected that the singularities of $X'$ will be better than those of $X$. In the mid-1970's, it was proved that in characteristic zero, ${\pi}$ is an isomorphism if and only if $X$ is nonsingular, which is false in positive characteristic. Abstract:In this paper, we establish a Mather-Yau theorem for higher Nash blowup algebras, demonstrating that the isomorphism type of the local ring of any hypersurface singularity, defined over an arbitrary field, is fully determined by its higher Nash blowup algebras. The classical Mather-Yau theorem (1982) asserts that for isolated complex hypersurface singularities, the isomorphism type of the local ring is determined by the Tjurina algebra. In positive characteristic, this result was extended by considering the higher Tjurina algebras by Greuel and Pham (2017) under the assumptions of an algebraically closed ground field and isolated singularities. Our work begins by proving the stability of higher Nash blowup algebras under contact equivalence in a very general framework. Specifically, we show that the higher Nash blowup algebras of any system of elements in an analytic or geometric ring remain invariant under contact equivalence. For complex hypersurface singularities, this stability was conjectured by Hussain, Ma, Yau, and Zuo, and was recently verified by Le and Yasuda. Finally, the converse is established using a classical result of Samuel (1956).

Abstract:The (Local) Lifting Property ((L)LP) is introduced by Kirchberg and deals with lifting completely positive maps. We give a characterization of the (L)LP in terms of lifting $\ast$-homomorphisms. We use it to prove that if $A$ and $B$ have the LP and $F$ is their finite-dimensional C*-subalgebra, then $A\ast_F B$ has the LP. This answers a question of Ozawa.
