Kolmogorov decomposition for a given completely positive definite kernel is a generalization of Paschke's GNS construction for the completely positive map. Using Kolmogorov decomposition, to every quantum dynamical semigroup (QDS) for completely positive definite kernels over a set [math] on given [math]-algebra [math] we shall assign an inclusion system [math] of Hilbert bimodules over [math] with a generating unit [math] Consider a von Neumann algebra [math], and let [math] be a QDS over a set [math] on the algebra [math] with [math] which acts block-wise. Further, if [math] is the inclusion system affiliated to the diagonal QDS [math] along with the generating unit [math] [math], then we prove that there exists a unique contractive (weak) morphism [math] such that [math] for every [math] and [math] We also study the semigroup version of a factorization theorem for [math]-families.

Abstract:We develop a $\mathtt{q}$-analogue of the theory of conjugation equivariant $\mathcal D$-modules on a complex reductive group $G$. In particular, we define quantum Hotta-Kashiwara modules and compute their endomorphism algebras. We use the Schur-Weyl functor of the second author, and develop tools from the corresponding double affine Hecke algebra to study this category in the cases $G=GL_N$ and $SL_N$. Our results also have an interpretation in skein theory (explored further in a sequel paper), namely a computation of the $GL_N$ and $SL_N$-skein algebra of the 2-torus.

Abstract:CGL extensions, named after G. Cauchon, K. Goodearl, and E. Letzter, are a special class of noncommutative algebras that are iterated Ore extensions of associative algebras with compatible torus actions. Examples of CGL extensions include quantum Schubert cells and quantized coordinate rings of double Bruhat cells. CGL extensions have been studied extensively in connection with quantum groups and quantum cluster algebras. For a field $\mathbf{k}$ of characteristic $0$, let $L=\mathbf{k}[q^{\pm 1}]$ be the $\mathbf{k}$-algebra of Laurent polynomials in the single variable $q$ and let $\mathbb{K}=\mathbf{k}(q)$ be the fraction field of $L$. We introduce quantum-CGL extensions as certain $L$-forms of CGL extensions over $\mathbb{K}$, which have Poisson-CGL extensions as their semiclassical limits. Poisson-CGL extensions, recently introduced and systematically studied by K. Goodearl and M. Yakimov, are certain Poisson polynomial algebras which admit presentations as iterated Poisson-Ore extensions with compatible torus actions. Examples of Poisson-CGL extensions include the coordinate rings of matrix affine Poisson spaces and more generally those of Schubert cells. We describe an explicit procedure for constructing a symmetric quantum-CGL extension from a symmetric integral Poisson-CGL extension and establish the uniqueness of such a quantization in a proper sense.

Abstract:As a self-dual framework to unify the study of quasigroups and Hopf algebras, quantum quasigroups are defined using a quantum analogue of the combinatorial approach to classical quasigroups, merely requiring invertibility of the left and right composites. In this paper, quantum quasigroups are redefined with a quantum analogue of the equational approach to classical quasigroups. Here, the left and right composites of auxiliary quantum quasigroups participate in diagrams whose commutativity witnesses the required invertibilities. Whenever the original and two auxiliary quantum quasigroups appear on an equal footing, the triality symmetry of the language of equational quasigroups is replicated. In particular, the problem arises as to when this triality emerges in the Hopf algebra context.

Abstract:Construction of quantum analogs starting from classical stochastic processes have been previously introduced. In this paper, we generate a large class of self contained quantum extensions by symmetry operations. We show that the relaxation processes for different quantum extensions are different and that is supported by the measure of coherence, the the probability of reaching the equilibrium, decay of the domain walls and purity. However, the coherence measure based on the L1-norm does not capture the speed of the relaxation process. We also show that the finite size scaling of coherence exists for both short and long times.

Abstract:Conformal Quantum Field Theories (CFT) in 1 or 1+1 spacetime dimensions (respectively called chiral and full CFTs) admit several "axiomatic" (mathematically rigorous and model-independent) formulations. In this note, we deal with the von Neumann algebraic formulation due to Haag and Kastler, mainly restricted to the chiral CFT setting. Irrespectively of the chosen formulation, one can ask the questions: given a theory $\mathcal{A}$, how many and which are the possible extensions $\mathcal{B} \supset \mathcal{A}$ or subtheories $\mathcal{B} \subset \mathcal{A}$? How to construct and classify them, and study their properties? Extensions are typically described in the language of algebra objects in the braided tensor category of representations of $\mathcal{A}$, while subtheories require different ideas. In this paper, we review recent structural results on the study of subtheories in the von Neumann algebraic formulation (conformal subnets) of a given chiral CFT (conformal net). Furthermore, building on [BDG23], we provide a "quantum Galois theory" for conformal nets analogous to the one for Vertex Operator Algebras (VOA). We also outline the case of 3+1 dimensional Algebraic Quantum Field Theories (AQFT). The aforementioned results make use of families of (extreme) vacuum state preserving unital completely positive maps acting on the net of von Neumann algebras, hereafter called quantum operations. These are natural generalizations of the ordinary vacuum preserving gauge automorphisms, hence they play the role of "generalized global gauge symmetries". Quantum operations suffice to describe all possible conformal subnets of a given conformal net with the same central charge.

Abstract:We prove that the generator of the $L^2$ implementation of a KMS-symmetric quantum Markov semigroup can be expressed as the square of a derivation with values in a Hilbert bimodule, extending earlier results by Cipriani and Sauvageot for tracially symmetric semigroups and the second-named author for GNS-symmetric semigroups. This result hinges on the introduction of a new completely positive map on the algebra of bounded operators on the GNS Hilbert space. This transformation maps symmetric Markov operators to symmetric Markov operators and is essential to obtain the required inner product on the Hilbert bimodule.

Abstract:In this paper, we studied the generalizations of quantum calculus on finite intervals. We presented the new definitions of the quantum derivative and quantum integral of a function with respect to another function and studied their basic properties. We gave an application of these newly defined quantum calculi by obtaining a new Hermite-Hadamard inequality for a convex function. Moreover, an impulsive boundary value problem involving quantum derivative, with respect to another function, was studied via the Banach contraction mapping principle.

Abstract:We establish a noncommutative analogue of the first fundamental theorem of classical invariant theory. For each quantum group associated with a classical Lie algebra, we construct a noncommutative associative algebra whose underlying vector space forms a module for the quantum group and whose algebraic structure is preserved by the quantum group action. The subspace of invariants is shown to form a subalgebra, which is finitely generated. We determine generators of this subalgebra of invariants and determine their commutation relations. In each case considered, the noncommutative modules we construct are flat deformations of their classical commutative analogues. Our results are therefore noncommutative generalisations of the first fundamental theorem of classical invariant theory, which follows from our results by taking the limit as q -> 1. Our method similarly leads to a definition of quantum spheres, which is a noncommutative generalisation of the classical case with orthogonal quantum group symmetry.
On some algebraic and geometric aspects of the quantum unitary group

Abstract:Consider the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$, where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter such that $|q|\neq 1$. Let $C(U_q(2))$ denote the underlying $C^*$-algebra of the compact quantum group $U_q(2)$. We prove that if $q$ is a non-real complex number and $q^\prime$ is real, then the underlying $C^*$-algebras $C(U_q(2))$ and $C(U_{q^\prime}(2))$ are non-isomorphic. This is in sharp contrast with the case of braided $SU_q(2)$, introduced earlier by Woronowicz et al., where $q$ is a non-zero complex deformation parameter. In another direction, on a geometric aspect of $U_q(2)$, we introduce torus action on the $C^*$-algebra $C(U_q(2))$ and obtain a $C^*$-dynamical system $(C(U_q(2)),\mathbb{T}^3,\alpha)$. We construct a $\mathbb{T}^3$-equivariant spectral triple for $U_q(2)$ that is even and $3^+$-summable. It is shown that the Dirac operator is K-homologically nontrivial.

Abstract:In this paper we complete in several aspects the picture of locally compact quantum groups. First of all we give a definition of a locally compact quantum group in the von Neumann algebraic setting and show how to deduce from it a $C^*$-algebraic quantum group. Further we prove several results about locally compact quantum groups which are important for applications, but were not yet settled in our paper [8]. We prove a serious strengthening of the left invariance of the Haar weight, and we give several formulas connecting the locally compact quantum group with its dual. Loosely speaking we show how the antipode of the locally compact quantum group determines the modular group and modular conjugation of the dual locally compact quantum group.

Abstract:The present paper develops a general theory of quantum group analogs of symmetric pairs for involutive automorphism of the second kind of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. The resulting quantum symmetric pairs are right coideal subalgebras of quantized enveloping algebras. They give rise to triangular decompositions, including a quantum analog of the Iwasawa decomposition, and they can be written explicitly in terms of generators and relations. Moreover, their centers and their specializations are determined. The constructions follow G. Letzter's theory of quantum symmetric pairs for semisimple Lie algebras. The main additional ingredient is the classification of involutive automorphisms of the second kind of symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras due to Kac and Wang. The resulting theory comprises various classes of examples which have previously appeared in the literature, such as q-Onsager algebras and the twisted q-Yangians introduced by Molev, Ragoucy, and Sorba.

Abstract:As a natural generalization of ordinary Lie algebras we introduce the concept of quantum Lie algebras . We define these in terms of certain adjoint submodules of quantized enveloping algebras endowed with a quantum Lie bracket given by the quantum adjoint action. The structure constants of these algebras depend on the quantum deformation parameter q and they go over into the usual Lie algebras when q = 1. The notions of q-conjugation and q-linearity are introduced. q-linear analogues of the classical antipode and Cartan involution are defined and a generalized Killing form, q-linear in the first entry and linear in the second, is obtained. These structures allow the derivation of symmetries between the structure constants of quantum Lie algebras. The explicitly worked out examples of and illustrate the results.
Quantum harmonic oscillator in a time dependent noncommutative background

Abstract:This work explores the behaviour of a noncommutative harmonic oscillator in a time-dependent background, as previously investigated in [1]. Specifically, we examine the system when expressed in terms of commutative variables, utilizing a generalized form of the standard Bopp-shift relations recently introduced in [2]. We solved the time dependent system and obtained the analytical form of the eigenfunction using the method of Lewis invariants, which is associated with the Ermakov-Pinney equation, a non-linear differential equation. We then obtain exact analytical solution set for the Ermakov-Pinney equation. With these solutions in place, we move on to compute the dynamics of the energy expectation value analytically and explore their graphical representations for various solution sets of the Ermakov-Pinney equation, associated with a particular choice of quantum number. Finally, we determined the generalized form of the uncertainty equality relations among the operators for both commutative and noncommutative cases. Expectedly, our study is consistent with the findings in [1], specifically in a particular limit where the coordinate mapping relations reduce to the standard Bopp-shift relations.
