Abstract:Classical modular forms on the upper half plane, with respect to the modular group SL(2,Z) and its congruence subgroups, have arisen naturally in number theory, complex analysis, topology, mathematical physics, and many other subjects. The closely related automorphic representations are basic notions in the celebrated Langlands program, which was proposed by Langlands in the late 1960s and has since revolutionized the fields of number theory, arithmetic algebraic geometry, and representation theory. This volume consists of expanded lecture notes from a 2007 international conference in Guangzhou, China, at which several leading experts in number theory presented introductions to, and surveys of, many aspects of automorphic forms and the Langlands program. Abstract:Mixed-parity module emerges for instance when a de Rham Galois representation is being tensored with a square root of cyclotomic character, which produces half odd integers as the corresponding Hodge-Tate weights. We build the whole foundation on the $p$-adic Hodge theory in this setting over small $v$-stacks after Scholze and we also consider certain moduli $v$-stack which parametrizes families of mixed-parity Hodge modules. Examples of the small $v$-stacks in our mind are rigid analytic spaces over $p$-adic fields and moduli $v$-stack of vector bundles over Fargues-Fontaine curves. The preparation implemented at this level will be expected to provide further essential foundationalization for generalized Langlands program after Langlands, Drinfeld, Fargues-Scholze. One side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the perverse motivic derived $\infty$-category over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$ related to smooth representations of reductive groups, while the other side of the generalized Langlands correspondence in the geometric setting is the corresponding derived $\infty$-category over the stack of mixed-parity $L$-parametrizations (i.e. from two-fold covering of the Weil group into $\ell$-adic groups) related to the representations of Weil group in our setting into Langlands dual groups. Although after Scholze and Fargues-Scholze our generalized Langlands program can go along $\ell$-adic cohomologicalization to immediately achieve various solid derived $\infty$-categories $\mathrm{DerCat}_\text{ét}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_\mathrm{lisse, \blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$, $\mathrm{DerCat}_{\blacksquare}(\mathrm{Moduli}_G,\square)$ and so on with well-established formalism regarding 6-functors, we already provide certain $p$-adic cohomologicalization of the story over $\mathrm{Moduli}_G$.

A $p$-adic arithmetic inner product formula

Abstract:Fix a prime number $p$ and let $E/F$ be a CM extension of number fields in which $p$ splits relatively. Let $\pi$ be an automorphic representation of a quasi-split unitary group of even rank with respect to $E/F$ such that $\pi$ is ordinary above $p$ with respect to the Siegel parabolic subgroup. We construct the cyclotomic $p$-adic $L$-function of $\pi$, and show, under certain conditions, that if its order of vanishing at the trivial character is $1$, then the rank of the Selmer group of the Galois representation of $E$ associated with $\pi$ is at least $1$. Furthermore, under a certain modularity hypothesis, we use special cycles on unitary Shimura varieties to construct some explicit elements in the Selmer group called Selmer theta lifts; and we prove a precise formula relating their $p$-adic heights to the derivative of the $p$-adic $L$-function. In parallel to Perrin-Riou's $p$-adic analogue of the Gross--Zagier formula, our formula is the $p$-adic analogue of the arithmetic inner product formula recently established by Chao~Li and the second author.

In certain localized setting we construct Langlands correspondence from smooth representation side to Weil side through geometrized generalized Bernstein center.

Abstract:We state a conjecture, local Langlands in families, connecting the centre of the category of smooth representations on $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{q}^{-1}]$-modules of a quasi-split $p$-adic group $\mathrm{G}$ (where $q$ is the cardinality of the residue field of the underlying local field), the ring of global functions on the stack of Langlands parameters for $\mathrm{G}$ over $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt{q}^{-1}]$, and the endomorphisms of a Gelfand-Graev representation for $\mathrm{G}$. For a class of classical $p$-adic groups (symplectic, unitary, or split odd special orthogonal groups), we prove this conjecture after inverting an integer depending only on $\mathrm{G}$. Along the way, we show that the local Langlands correspondence for classical $p$-adic groups (1) preserves integrality of $\ell$-adic representations; (2) satisfies an "extended" (generic) packet conjecture; (3) is compatible with parabolic induction up to semisimplification (generalizing a result of Moussaoui), hence induces a semisimple local Langlands correspondence; and (4) the semisimple correspondence is compatible with automorphisms of $\mathbb{C}$ fixing $\sqrt{q}$.

Abstract:We give a categorical formulation of the $p$-adic local Langlands correspondence for $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$,as an embedding of the derived category of locally admissible representations into the category of Ind-coherent sheaves on the moduli stack of two-dimensional representations of $\mathrm{Gal}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}_p/\mathbb{Q}_p)$. Moreover, we relate our version of the $p$-adic local Langlands correspondence for $\mathrm{GL}_2(\mathbb{Q}_p)$ to the cohomology of modular curves through a local-global compatibility formula.

Abstract:We construct a geometric realization of representations for $\text{PSL}(2, \mathbb{F}_p)$ by the defining ideals of rational models $\mathcal{L}(X(p))$ of modular curves $X(p)$ over $\mathbb{Q}$. Hence, for the irreducible representations of $\text{PSL}(2, \mathbb{F}_p)$, whose geometric realizations can be formulated in three different scenarios in the framework of Weil's Rosetta stone: number fields, curves over $\mathbb{F}_q$ and Riemann surfaces. In particular, we show that there exists a correspondence among the defining ideals of modular curves over $\mathbb{Q}$, reducible $\mathbb{Q}(\zeta_p)$-rational representations $\pi_p: \text{PSL}(2, \mathbb{F}_p) \rightarrow \text{Aut}(\mathcal{L}(X(p)))$ of $\text{PSL}(2, \mathbb{F}_p)$, and $\mathbb{Q}(\zeta_p)$-rational Galois representations $\rho_p: \text{Gal}(\overline{\mathbb{Q}}/\mathbb{Q}) \rightarrow \text{Aut}(\mathcal{L}(X(p)))$ as well as their modular and surjective realization. This leads to a new viewpoint on the last mathematical testament of Galois by Galois representations arising from the defining ideals of modular curves, which leads to a connection with Klein's elliptic modular functions. It is a nonlinear and anabelian counterpart of the global Langlands correspondence among the $\ell$-adic étale cohomology of modular curves over $\mathbb{Q}$, i.e., Grothendieck motives ($\ell$-adic system), automorphic representations of $\text{GL}(2, \mathbb{Q})$ and $\ell$-adic representations.

Abstract:These lecture notes are based on the second course in a series of lectures at the Spring school "Non-archimedean geometry and Eigenvarieties" in March 2023 in Heidelberg. The objective of the first three courses was to give an introduction to the theory of adic spaces. Building up on the theory of Huber pairs presented in John Bergdall's lecture we explain the construction of adic spaces. We study some important classes of adic spaces such as rigid analytic spaces and formal schemes and show the connections between them. In the course of the lecture we will illustrate the respective concepts with the fundamental examples of the open and closed disc and the affine line.

Abstract:We formulate some refinements and complements to the categorical local Langlands conjecture of Fargues-Scholze. In particular, we state the expected compatibilities with Eisenstein series and duality, and explain some of their consequences. We also begin the process of matching t-structures on both sides. Notably, we introduce the so-called hadal t-structure on the automorphic side, which has good finiteness properties, and which conjecturally matches with a suitable perverse coherent t-structure on the spectral side.

Abstract:We study the $S$-arithmetic (co)homology of reductive groups over number fields with coefficients in (duals of) certain locally algebraic and locally analytic representations for finite sets of primes $S$. We use our results to construct eigenvarieties associated to parabolic subgroups at places in $S$ and certain classes of supercuspidal and algebraic representations of their Levi factors. We show that these agree with eigenvarieties constructed using overconvergent homology and that for definite unitary groups they are closely related to the Bernstein eigenvarieties constructed by Breuil-Ding.

Abstract:It is well-known that affine Hecke algebras are very useful to describe the smooth representations of any connected reductive p-adic group G, in terms of the supercuspidal representations of its Levi subgroups. The goal of this paper is to create a similar role for affine Hecke algebras on the Galois side of the local Langlands correspondence. To every Bernstein component of enhanced Langlands parameters for G we canonically associate an affine Hecke algebra (possibly extended with a finite R-group). We prove that the irreducible representations of this algebra are naturally in bijection with the members of the Bernstein component, and that the set of central characters of the algebra is naturally in bijection with the collection of cuspidal supports of these enhanced Langlands parameters. These bijections send tempered or (essentially) square-integrable representations to the expected kind of Langlands parameters. Furthermore we check that for many reductive p-adic groups, if a Bernstein component B for G corresponds to a Bernstein component B^\vee of enhanced Langlands parameters via the local Langlands correspondence, then the affine Hecke algebra that we associate to B^\vee is Morita equivalent with the Hecke algebra associated to B. This constitutes a generalization of Lusztig's work on unipotent representations. It might be useful to establish a local Langlands correspondence for more classes of irreducible smooth representations.
