Abstract:We study the sums $\sum_{n\le X, (n,q)=1}\frac{\mu(n)}{n^s}\log^k\left(\frac{X}{n}\right)$, where $k\in\{0,1\}$, $s\in\mathbb{C}$, $\Re s>0$ and give asymptotic estimations in an explicit manner. In order to do so, we produce a large family of arithmetical identities and derive several applications. Along similar ideas, we present an appendix showing the inequality $\sum_{n\le X}\Lambda(n)/n\le \log X$, valid for any $X\geq 1$.

Abstract:We derive some Hodge integral identities by taking various limits of the Mariño-Vafa formula using the cut-and-join equation. These identities include the formula of generalλg\lambda _g-integrals, the formula ofλg−1\lambda _{g-1}-integrals onM¯g,1{\overline {\mathcal {M}}}_{g,1}, the formula of cubicλ\lambdaintegrals onM¯g{\overline {\mathcal {M}}}_g, and the ELSV formula relating Hurwitz numbers and Hodge integrals. In particular, our proof of the MV formula by the cut-and-join equation leads to a new and simple proof of theλg\lambda _gconjecture. We also present a proof of the ELSV formula completely parallel to our proof of the Mariño-Vafa formula.

Abstract:We prove exact identities for convolution sums of divisor functions of the form $\sum_{n_1 \in \mathbb{Z} \smallsetminus \{0,n\}}\varphi(n_1,n-n_1)\sigma_{2m_1}(n_1)\sigma_{2m_2}(n-n_1)$ where $\varphi(n_1,n_2)$ is a Laurent polynomial with logarithms for which the sum is absolutely convergent. Such identities are motivated by computations in string theory and prove and generalize a conjecture of Chester, Green, Pufu, Wang, and Wen from \cite{CGPWW}. Originally, it was suspected that such sums, suitably extended to $n_1\in\{0,n\}$ should vanish, but in this paper we find that in general they give Fourier coefficients of holomorphic cusp forms.

Abstract:We introduce a novel multiparameterized fractional multiplicative integral identity and utilize it to derive a range of inequalities for multiplicatively s -convex mappings in connection with different quadrature rules involving one, two, and three points. Our results cover both new findings and established ones, offering a holistic framework for comprehending these inequalities. To validate our outcomes, we provide an illustrative example with visual aids. Furthermore, we highlight the practical significance of our discoveries by applying them to special means of real numbers within the realm of multiplicative calculus.

Abstract:Using a specific form of the triple product identity, polygonal number identities are stated. Further number identities are examined that can be considered identities related to modular sets of numbers. The identities can be used to give results on integer partitions with parts from numbers in modular arithmetic progression. This includes recursive formulas for the number of partitions using these modular parts. The triple product identity can derive further recursive formulas. Additionally, there is a recursive formula for the related sum of divisors function. The specific triple product identity provides a framework to examine all the identities and can be used to define related theta functions.

Abstract:We find an interesting relationship between the golden ratio, the Moebius function, the Euler totient function and the natural logarithm - central players in the theory of numbers. A number of identities involving the golden ratio and its reciprocal are proved, including an expression for the base of the natural logarithm. The theorem and corollaries highlight a connection between the golden ratio and the factorization of integers that is not obvious; and display a sort of inverse relationship between the Moebius function and Euler totient function.

Abstract:We provide combinatorial tools inspired by work of Warnaar to give combinatorial interpretations of the sum sides of the Andrews-Gordon and Bressoud identities. More precisely, we give an explicit weight- and length-preserving bijection between sets related to integer partitions, which provides these interpretations. In passing, we discover the $q$-series version of an identity of Kurşungöz, similar to the Bressoud identity but with opposite parity conditions, which we prove combinatorially using the classical Bressoud identity and our bijection. We also use this bijection to prove combinatorially many identities, some known and other new, of the Andrews-Gordon and Bressoud type.

The Möbius function of the poset of triangular numbers under divisibility

Abstract:This paper analyzes the Möbius ($\mu(i)$) function defined on the partially ordered set of triangular numbers ($\mathcal T(i)$) under the divisibility relation. We make conjectures on the asymptotic behavior of the classical Möbius and Mertens functions based on experimental data and other proven conjectures. We first introduce the growth of partial sums of $\mu_{\mathcal T}(i)$ and analyze how the growth is different from the classical Möbius function, and then analyze the relation between the partial sums of $|\mu_{\mathcal T}(i)|$, and how it is similar to the asymptotic classical Möbius function. Which also happens to involve the Riemann zeta function. Then we create Hasse diagrams of the poset, this helps introduce a method to visualize the divisibility relation of triangular numbers. This also serves as a basis for the zeta and Möbius matrices. Looking specifically into the poset defined by $(\mathbb{N}, \leq_{\mathcal T})$, or triangular numbers under divisibility and applying the Möbius function to it, we can create our desired matrices. And then using Python libraries we create visualizations for further analysis and can project previously mentioned patterns. Through this, we can introduce two more novel conjectures bounding $\mu_{\mathcal T}(n)$ and the sums of $\frac{\mu_{\mathcal T}}{i}$. We conclude the paper with divisibility patterns in the Appendix, with proofs of the helpful and necessary propositions.

Abstract:Making use of a telescoping approach, three types of sums of binomial quotients are examined. The summation terms of the two types of alternating sums have symmetry (i.e., their numerators and denominators are completely symmetric). We obtained a series of their explicit sums. Furthermore, by means of binomial relations, three recurrence relations of the sums are derived. In addition, series of double summation formulae involving binomial quotients are established.

Abstract:We use Cramer's formula for the inverse of a matrix and a combinatorial expression for the determinant in terms of paths of an associated digraph (which can be traced back to Coates) to give a combinatorial interpretation of Möbius inversion whenever it exists. Every Möbius coefficient is a quotient of two sums, each indexed by certain collections of paths in the digraph. Our result contains, as particular cases, previous theorems by Hall (for posets) and Leinster (for skeletal categories whose idempotents are identities). A byproduct is a novel expression for the magnitude of a metric space as sum over self-avoiding paths with finitely many terms. By means of Berg's formula, our main constructions can be extended to Moore-Penrose pseudoinverses, yielding an analogous combinatorial interpretation of Möbius pseudoinversion and, consequently, of the magnitude of an arbitrary finite category.

The integral identity conjecture in motivic homotopy theory

Abstract:The integral identity conjecture of Kontsevich and Soibelman plays an important role in proving the existence of motivic Donaldson-Thomas invariants for three-dimensional noncommutative Calabi-Yau manifolds. There are a number of different formulations of this conjecture in different contexts and accordingly, there are corresponding solutions to them. The methods devoted to solving this conjecture are diverse, ranging from $\ell$-adic cohomology of rigid analytic varieties to Hrushovski-Kazhdan motivic integration and motivic Fubini theorem for tropicalization maps,... In a recent work, Ivorra deduces a functorial version of the integral identity in the stable homotopy of schemes, from the Braden hyperbolic localization theorem. This functorial version concerns Ayoub's nearby cycles functor associated with a $\mathbb{G}_m$-equivariant function $f \colon X \longrightarrow \mathbb{A}^1$ on vector bundles with a linear action of $\mathbb{G}_m$ on algebraic varieties over a field of characteristic zero. In the present work, we follow the functorial approach by Ivorra and extend the scope of the original conjecture by Kontsevich and Soibelman by studying more generally the case of $\mathbb{G}_m$-equivariant functions on algebraic $S$-spaces with a $\tau$-locally linearizable action of $\mathbb{G}_m$ over a noetherian scheme $S$ and extend the functorial integral identity to these cases. Our result is functorial, it allows more flexibity on the characteristic of the base scheme and the formulation exists in the world of motives which can realizes to other settings, e.g., étale realization, Betti realization, virtual motives... We also prove a result which is independent of interest and already appears in the work of others, namely, the motivic version of the functorial compatibility of the Bernstein isomorphisms with constant term functors.
