Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis, originally proposed by the eminent mathematician Bernard Riemann in 1859, remains one of the most profound challenges in number theory. It posits that all non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function {\zeta}(s) are concentrated precisely along the critical line where the real part equals 1/2. In this paper, our aim is to present an attempt to prove this conjecture. Our approach relies on the use of the reflection formula. By applying this tool with precision and insight, we can conclusively establish that {\xi}(s)^2 (Riemann's {\xi}-function) is valid only when Re(s)=1/2. As a direct consequence of this determination, we can assert that every zero of both {\xi}(s)^2 and {\xi}(s) has a real part equal to 1/2. This, in turn, leads us to the tentative conclusion that the real part of all non-trivial zeros of the zeta function is consistently 1/2.

Disproof of the Riemann Hypothesis

Abstract:The Riemann Hypothesis is a conjecture that all non-trivial zeros of Riemann Zeta function are located on the critical line in the complex plane. Hundreds of propositions in function theory and analytic number theory rely on this hypothesis. However, the problem has been unresolved for over a century. Here we show that at least one set of quadruplet-zeros exists outside the critical line through expanding the infinite product of the Riemann Xi zero function. We found that assuming there are no zeros outside the critical line will result in a contradiction with the known result that the reciprocal sum of all zeros of the xi-function is a constant, thereby refuting the Riemann Hypothesis.

Abstract:Let $\Xi(t)$ be a function relating to the Riemann zeta function $\zeta (s)$ with $s = \frac{1} {2} + it$. In this paper, we construct a function $v$ containing $t$ and $\Xi(t)$, and prove that $v$ satisfies a nonadjoint boundary value problem to a nonsingular differential equation if $t$ is any nontrivial zero of $\Xi(t)$. Inspecting properties of $v$ and using known results of nontrivial zeros of $\zeta (s)$, we derive that nontrivial zeros of $\zeta (s)$ all have real part equal to $\frac{1} {2}$, which concludes that Riemann Hypothesis is true.

Abstract:The Riemann hypothesis states that the Riemann $\xi(s)$ function has no zeros in the strip $0< {\rm Re}(s) < 1$ except for the critical line where ${\rm Re}(s) = 1/2$. However, determining whether a point in the strip is a zero of a complex function is a challenging task. Bombieri proposed an assertion in the Official Problem Description that states, ``The Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to the statement that all local maxima of $\xi(t)$ (namely $\xi(s)$ on the critical line) are positive and all local minima are negative." In this paper, we follow Bombieri's idea to study the Riemann hypothesis. First, we show that on the critical line, the $\xi(s)$ function (which is then a real function of a single real variable) obeys a special differential equation, such that it satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition. Then, since we have been unable to locate the original proof of Bombieri's equivalence theorem, we independently provide a proof for the sufficiency part of it. Namely, if the $\xi(s)$ function satisfies Bombieri's equivalence condition on the critical line, then by the Cauchy-Riemann equations, it has no zeros outside this critical line. Thus, we can conclude that the Riemann hypothesis is true. Finally, we discuss Pólya's counterexample, which is against the use of Jensen's form of the $\xi(s)$ function to study the Riemann hypothesis. We show that this counterexample violates Bombieri's equivalence theorem.

Abstract:We introduce a differential topological proof and an analytical proof of Riemann hypothesis according to the saddle point method because Riemann calculated the integral representation of zeta function on the critical line by this method. This topological proof of RH proves that the existence of integral representation of zeta functions requires certain differential topological conditions on its integrand according to which the zeta function vanishes on the critical line. The analytical proof of RH is the local implementation of topological proof or its coordinate representation.

Abstract:In the past 100 years, the research of Riemann Hypothesis meets many difficulties. Such situation may be caused by that people used to study Zeta function only regarding it as a complex function. Generally, complex functions are far more complex than real functions, and are hard to graph. So, people cannot grasp the nature of them easily. Therefore, it may be a promising way to try to correspond Zeta function to real function so that we can return to the real domain to study RH. In fact, by the view of Laplace transform, the whole picture of Zeta function is very clear and simple, and the problem can be greatly simplified. And by Laplace transform, most integral and convolution operations can be converted into algebraic operations, which greatly simplifies calculating and analysis. This is a really and full new way to research Zeta function, prime numbers distribution, RH and so on. In fact, many new, important and interesting results can be reached by this new way, far more that shown in this paper. In September 2018, I had discussed with Sir Michael F Atiyah about RH and our proofs, etc. Sir Atiyah was so nice and patient, and he gave my approach rather positive evaluation. These email records are opened in page 14, as a memory of him.

Abstract:The main result of the paper is a definition of possible ways of the confirmation of the Riemann hypothesis based on the properties of the vector system of the second approximate equation of the Riemann Zeta function. The paper uses a feature of calculating the Riemann Zeta function in the critical strip, where its approximate value is determined by partial sums of the Dirichlet series, which it is given. These expressions are called the first and second approximate equation of the Riemann Zeta function. The representation of the terms of the Dirichlet series by vectors allows us when analyzing the polyline formed by these vectors: 1) explain the geometric meaning of the generalized summation of the Dirichlet series in the critical strip; 2) obtain formula for calculating the Riemann Zeta function; 3) obtain the functional equation of the Riemann Zeta function based on the geometric properties of vectors forming the polyline; 4) explain the geometric meaning of the second approximate equation of the Riemann Zeta function; 5) obtain the vector equation of non-trivial zeros of the Riemann Zeta function; 6) determine why the Riemann Zeta function has non-trivial zeros on the critical line; 7) understand why the Riemann Zeta function cannot have non-trivial zeros in the critical strip other than the critical line.

Abstract:We examine published arguments which suggest that the Riemann Hypothesis may not be true. In each case we provide evidence to explain why the claimed argument does not provide a good reason to doubt the Riemann Hypothesis. The evidence we cite involves a mixture of theorems in analytic number theory, theorems in random matrix theory, and illustrative examples involving the characteristic polynomials of random unitary matrices. Similar evidence is provided for four mistaken notions which appear repeatedly in the literature concerning computations of the zeta-function. A fundamental question which underlies some of the arguments is: what does the graph of the Riemann zeta-function look like in a neighborhood of its largest values? We explore that question in detail and provide a survey of results on the relationship between L-functions and the characteristic polynomials of random matrices. We highlight the key role played by the emergent phenomenon of carrier waves, which arise from fluctuations in the density of zeros.

Abstract:Ramanujan Summation is one of the most important foundational results which is linked to many important results across fields including Renormalization Techniques having applications in QFT-Physics, to the celebrated most important 160 years old open problem of Riemann Zeta Function hence Riemann Hypothesis among many others. The Result of Ramanujan Summation is surrounded by beauty, magic, unknowability, Undecidability about the infinite Series Sum of such types under the set of existing rules involving Infinite Series. Ramanujan’s Summation Identity is one of the greatest mysteries in Science popular worldwide.In this paper, we try to show that since Ramanujan Summation and in general any such Summation involving Infinite Series Divergence could be fundamentally Self- Inconsistent and Undecidable Truth through Self-Reference! . This also leads to the Undecidability of the celebrated Riemann Hypothesis, involving Infinite Divergent Series i.e. Riemann Hypothesis can’t be consistently proven or disproven under this set of undecidable rules of axioms involving infinity due to foundational self-referential issue. This is like Godel’s Undecidable Statement through Self-Referential type Issue! Infact, the Rules of Such Infinite Divergent Series themselves appear uncertain, undecidable. Different Summation approaches involving complex analysis e.g. Abel, Cesaro, Zeta Regularization etc. also seem foundationally self-inconsistent!Even the famous Fields and Abel Laureate Michael Attiyah had recently claimed that Riemann Hypothesis is Undecidable statement in Godel context Many other greats have speculated the same in history but have not been able to clearly show why it could be Undecidable. We shall try to show if that’s true or not! This leads to probably one of the most important foundational results in Number Theory-Mathematics and raises future extremely important open questions for the development of mathematics!

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to give a relatively simple proof of some known zero density estimates for Riemann zeta function which are sufficiently strong to break the density hypothesis in a nontrivial part of the critical strip. Apart from a simple but ingenious idea of Halasz the proof uses only classical knowledge about the zeta function, results known since at least hundred years.

Abstract:In 2008 I thought I found a proof of the Riemann Hypothesis, but there was an error. In the Spring 2020 I believed to have fixed the error, but it cannot be fixed. I describe here where the error was. It took me several days to find the error in a careful checking before a possible submission to a payable review offered by one leading journal. There were three simple lemmas and one simple theorem, all were correct, yet there was an error: what Lemma 2 proved was not exactly what Lemma 3 needed. So, it was the connection of the lemmas. This paper came out empty, but I have found a different proof of the Riemann Hypothesis and it seems so far correct. In the discussion at the end of this paper I raise a matter that I think is of importance to the review process in mathematics.
