Abstract:We characterize (up to endpoints) the $k$-tuples $(p_1,\ldots,p_k)$ for which certain $k$-linear generalized Radon transforms map $L^{p_1} \times \cdots \times L^{p_k}$ boundedly into $\mathbb R$. This generalizes a result of Tao and Wright.

Abstract:We prove that for a large class of functions $P$ and $Q$, there exists $d\in (0,1)$ such that the discrete bilinear Radon transform $$B^{\rm dis}_{P,Q}(f,g)(n)=\sum_{m\in\mathbb{Z}\setminus\{0\}} f(n-P(m))g(n-Q(m))\frac{1}{m}$$ is bounded from $l^2\times l^2$ into $l^{1+\epsilon}$ for any $\epsilon\in (d,1)$. In particular, the boundedness holds for any $\epsilon\in (0,1)$ when $P$ (or $Q$) is the Euler totient function $\phi(|m|)$ or the prime counting function $\pi(|m|)$.

Abstract:In this article we focus on $L^{p}$ estimates for two types of multilinear lacunary maximal averages over hypersurfaces with curvature conditions. Moreover, we give a different proof for the bilinear lacunary spherical maximal functions. To obtain our results, we make use of the $L^1$-improving estimates of multilinear averaging operators. We also obtain $L^p$-improving estimates for certain multilinear averages by means of the nonlinear Brascamp-Lieb inequality.

Abstract: The $L^p$ boundedness theory of convolution operators is \linebreak based on an initial $L^2\to L^2$ estimate derived from the Fourier transform. The corresponding theory of multilinear operators lacks such a simple initial estimate in view of the unavailability of Plancherel's identity in this setting, and up to now it has not been clear what a natural initial estimate might be. In this work we achieve exactly this goal, i.e., obtain an initial $L^2\times\cdots\times L^2\to L^{2/m}$ estimate for general building blocks of $m$-linear multiplier operators. We apply this result to deduce analogous bounds for multilinear rough singular integrals, multipliers of H\"ormander type, and multipliers whose derivatives satisfy qualitative estimates.

Abstract:The purpose of this announcement is to describe a development given in a series of forthcoming papers by the authors that concern operators of the form \[ f\mapsto \psi(x) \int f(\gamma_t(x)) K(t)\: dt, \] where $\gamma_t(x)=\gamma(t,x)$ is a $C^\infty$ function defined on a neighborhood of the origin in $(t,x)\in \mathbb{R}^N\times \mathbb{R}^n$ satisfying $\gamma_0(x)\equiv x$, $K(t)$ is a "multi-parameter singular kernel" supported near $t=0$, and $\psi$ is a cutoff function supported near $x=0$. This note concerns the case when $K$ is a "product kernel". The goal is to give conditions on $\gamma$ such that the above operator is bounded on $L^p$ for $1<p<\infty$. Associated maximal functions are also discussed. The "single-parameter" case when $K$ is a Calderón-Zygmund kernel was studied by Christ, Nagel, Stein, and Wainger. The theory here extends these results to the multi-parameter context and also deals effectively with the case when $\gamma$ is real-analytic.

Abstract:We prove that multilinear paraproducts are bounded from products of Lebesgue spaces L-p1 x ... x Lpm+1 to when 1 <= p(1), ... p(m), p(m+1)< infinity, 1/p(1) + ... + 1/p(m+1) = 1/p. We focus on the endpoint case when some indices p(j) are equal to 1, in particular we obtain a new proof of the estimate L-1 x ... x L-1 -> L-1/(m+1),L-infinity.

Abstract:We prove that the bilinear Hilbert transform along two polynomials $B_{P,Q}(f,g)(x)=\int_{\mathbb{R}}f(x-P(t))g(x-Q(t))\frac{dt}{t}$ is bounded from $L^p \times L^q$ to $L^r$ for a large range of $(p,q,r)$, as long as the polynomials $P$ and $Q$ have distinct leading and trailing degrees. The same boundedness property holds for the corresponding bilinear maximal function $\mathcal{M}_{P,Q}(f,g)(x)=\sup_{\epsilon>0}\frac{1}{2\epsilon}\int_{-\epsilon}^{\epsilon} |f(x-P(t))g(x-Q(t))|dt$.

Abstract:The goal of this paper is to study operators of the form, \[ Tf(x)= \psi(x)\int f(\gamma_t(x))K(t)\: dt, \] where $\gamma$ is a real analytic function defined on a neighborhood of the origin in $(t,x)\in \R^N\times \R^n$, satisfying $\gamma_0(x)\equiv x$, $\psi$ is a cutoff function supported near $0\in \R^n$, and $K$ is a "multi-parameter singular kernel" supported near $0\in \R^N$. A main example is when $K$ is a "product kernel." We also study maximal operators of the form, \[ \mathcal{M} f(x) = \psi(x)\sup_{0<\delta_1,..., \delta_N<<1} \int_{|t|<1} |f(\gamma_{\delta_1 t_1,...,\delta_N t_N}(x))|\: dt. \] We show that $\mathcal{M}$ is bounded on $L^p$ ($1<p\leq \infty$). We give conditions on $\gamma$ under which $T$ is bounded on $L^p$ ($1<p<\infty$); these conditions hold automatically when $K$ is a Calderón-Zygmund kernel. This is the final paper in a three part series. The first two papers consider the more general case when $\gamma$ is $C^\infty$.

Abstract:We prove both necessary and sufficient conditions for $L^p$-bound\-ed\-ness of certain multilinear generalized Radon transforms that arise as Heisenberg group analogues of the Brascamp--Lieb inequalities on Euclidean space. The necessary and sufficient conditions coincide in some important special cases, but differ in others.

Abstract:Motivated by the testing condition for Radon-Brascamp-Lieb multilinear functionals established in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2201.12201" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2201.12201">arXiv:2201.12201</a>, this paper is concerned with identifying local conditions on smooth maps $u(t)$ with values in the space of decomposable p-forms on some real vector space V which guarantee uniform integrability of $||u(t)||^{-\tau}$ over a certain natural, noncompact family of norms. One can loosely regard this problem as a higher-dimensional analogue of establishing uniform bounds for the size of a sublevel set of a function in terms of the size of its derivatives. The resulting theorem relies extensively on ideas from Geometric Invariant Theory to understand what appropriate derivative bounds look like in this context. Several examples and applications are presented, including a new local characterization of so-called "model" Radon-like transforms in terms of the semistability of a natural curvature functional (giving an equivalent but rather different criterion than the one first established in <a class="link-https" data-arxiv-id="2303.03325" href="https://arxiv.org/abs/2303.03325">arXiv:2303.03325</a>).

These estimates lay the foundation for the derivation of other L p L^p estimates for such operators.

We have exploited the ideas given in the paper "Maximal estimates for bilinear Bochner--Riesz means" (Adv. Math. 395(2022) 108100) by Jotsaroop and Shrivastava, in order to prove our results.

Abstract:We prove that convolution with affine arclength measure on the curve parametrized by $h(t) := (t,t^2,...,t^n)$ is a bounded operator from $L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$ to $L^q(\mathbb{R}^n)$ for the full conjectured range of exponents, improving on a result due to M. Christ. We also obtain nearly sharp Lorentz space bounds.

Abstract:We apply the geometric approach provided by $\Sigma$-operators to develop a theory of $p$-summability for multilinear operators. In this way, we introduce the notion of Lipschitz $p$-summing multilinear operators and show that it is consistent with a general panorama of generalization: Namely, they satisfy Pietsch-type domination and factorization theorems and generalizations of the inclusion Theorem, Grothendieck's coincidence Theorems, the weak Dvoretsky-Rogers Theorem and a Lindenstrauss-Pelczyńsky Theorem. We also characterize this new class in tensorial terms by means of a Chevet-Saphar-type tensor norm. Moreover, we introduce the notion of Dunford-Pettis multilinear operators. With them, we characterize when a projective tensor product contains $\ell_1$. Relations between Lipschitz $p$-summing multilinear operators with Dunford-Pettis and Hilbert-Schmidt multilinear operators are given.

Abstract:In this paper, we revisit some fundamental properties of linear canonical transform (abbreviated as LCT). In particular, we prove the additive property rigorously for LCT in the higher dimensional case (abbreviated as MLCT). We also consider the Lp ‐theory of MLCT with 1≤p≤2 . Specifically, the inversion theorem of MLCT by the related Gauss and Abel means is studied, and the pointwise convergence of approximate identities with respect to convolution for MLCT is also obtained. As applications, we study the Lp ‐type Heisenberg‐Pauli‐Weyl uncertainty principles and the Lp ‐type Donoho‐Stark uncertainty principles for MLCT.
