The corresponding theory of multilinear operators lacks such a simple initial estimate in view of the unavailability of Plancherel's identity in this setting, and up to now it has not been clear what a natural initial estimate might be. In this work we achieve exactly this goal, i.e., obtain an initial $L^2\times\cdots\times L^2\to L^{2/m}$ estimate for general building blocks of $m$-linear multiplier operators. We apply this result to deduce analogous bounds for multilinear rough singular integrals, multipliers of H\"ormander type, and multipliers whose derivatives satisfy qualitative estimates.

Abstract:Results analogous to those proved by Rubio de Francia [28] are obtained for a class of maximal functions formed by dilations of bilinear multiplier operators of limited decay. We focus our attention on L2 × L2 → L1 estimates. We discuss two applications: the boundedness of the bilinear maximal Bochner-Riesz operator and of the bilinear spherical maximal operator. For the latter we improve the known results in [1] by reducing the dimension restriction from n ≥ 8 to n ≥ 4.

This result provides the main tool in the proof of the first theorem and is also manifested in terms of the $L^q$ integrability of the multiplier. Abstract:In this work, we establish $L^{p_1}\times \cdots\times L^{p_1}\to L^p$ bounds for maximal multi-(sub)linear singular integrals associated with homogeneous kernels $\frac{\Omega(\vec{\boldsymbol{y}}')}{|\vec{\boldsymbol{y}}|^{mn}}$ where $\Omega$ is an $L^q$ function on the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^{mn-1}$ with vanishing moment condition and $q>1$. As an application, we obtain almost everywhere convergence results for the associated doubly truncated multilinear singular integrals.

Abstract:In this work, we obtain the pointwise almost everywhere convergence for two families of multilinear operators: (a) the doubly truncated homogeneous singular integral operators associated with L-q functions on the sphere and (b) lacunary multiplier operators of limited smoothness. The a.e. convergence is deduced from the L-2 x. x L-2 -> L-2/m boundedness of the associated maximal multilinear operators.

Abstract:We use wavelets of tensor product type to obtain the boundedness of bilinear multiplier operators on ℝ^n×ℝ^n associated with Hörmander multipliers on ℝ^2n with minimal smoothness. We focus on the local L^2 case and we obtain boundedness under the minimal smoothness assumption of n / 2 derivatives. We also provide counterexamples to obtain necessary conditions for all sets of indices.

Abstract:Let $(X,d,\mu)$ be a metric space with doubling measure and $L$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(X)$ whose heat kernel satisfies the Gaussian upper bound. We assume that there exists an $L$-harmonic function $h$ such that the semigroup $\exp(-tL)$, after applying the Doob transform related to $h$, satisfies the upper and lower Gaussian estimates. In this paper we apply the Doob transform and some techniques as in Grafakos-Honzík-Seeger \cite{GHS2006} to obtain an optimal $\sqrt{\log(1+N)}$ bound in $L^p$ for the maximal function $\sup_{1\leq i\leq N}|m_i(L)f|$ for multipliers $m_i,1\leq i\leq N,$ with uniform estimates. Based on this, we establish sufficient conditions on the bounded Borel function $m$ such that the maximal function $M_{m,L}f(x) = \sup_{t>0} |m(tL)f(x)|$ is bounded on $L^p(X)$. The applications include Schrödinger operators with inverse square potential, Scattering operators, Bessel operators and Laplace-Beltrami operators.

Abstract:In this article we focus on $L^{p}$ estimates for two types of multilinear lacunary maximal averages over hypersurfaces with curvature conditions. Moreover, we give a different proof for the bilinear lacunary spherical maximal functions. To obtain our results, we make use of the $L^1$-improving estimates of multilinear averaging operators. We also obtain $L^p$-improving estimates for certain multilinear averages by means of the nonlinear Brascamp-Lieb inequality.
